Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st Steven’s Crofftysofty Bee Brave

8-month-old puppy displaying promising breed type. Presents a very good coat for age, soft in texture with developing wave. Movement is free and lively, with particularly good drive from a well-constructed rear. Tail is well set and carried. Excellent, strong teeth with the correct scissor bite. Ears could be used more to enhance the overall alert expression, but of the correct size. A happy, spirited youngster – should continue to develop nicely and do well in the ring as maturity and focus improve. I look forward to watching handler and dog progress with interest. Best Puppy Dog

Limit Dog (1,0)

1st Amel-Azizpour’s Crofftysofty Hay Jude

22-month-old of good size and overall balance. Presents a pleasing, well-proportioned outline with a short back and a compact frame. Coat is in the transitional stage from puppy to adult, but maintains the correct soft texture. Balanced movement. Tail is well carried, though set slightly low. Pigment is strong, and correct scissor bite. Should continue to mature nicely as the coat continues to develop.

Open Dog (3,1)

1st Clarke’s CH Flaxela Perfect Storm (AI) JW

A quality 4-year old male in his prime, who I have had the pleasure of judging previously, and many of the same comments still apply today – only now with the added maturity. He carries a lovely, rich wheaten coat of correct texture, which enhances his overall breed type. A real showman in the ring, he powered around with effortless, balanced movement, holding a strong level topline throughout. He has a clean, well-proportioned and expressive head, with excellent pigment and dentition. Moderate and balanced throughout, he presents a picture that is true to the standard. My Best Dog and Best of Breed, lovely to see him get a shortlist in a very strong Best In Show lineup.

2nd Clarke’s Flaxela Illuminati (AI) JW

Full brother to my 1st place, just slightly younger. A quality dog in his own right, with much to admire, sharing many of the same virtues as his sibling. Well-made and balanced, moderate outline with good angulation front and rear, which translated into a smooth, reaching and driving action on the move. Head is clean and well-proportioned with good pigment and excellent teeth, all contributing to a pleasing expression and overall breed type. He just needs a little more time to mature in coat, and develop further in body – both of which are likely to come with time. A very promising young male with a bright future ahead – lovely throughout and one to watch as he continues to mature. Reserve Best Dog.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st Fallon’s Crofftysofty Bee Yonce

8-month-old puppy bitch showing great promise. She presents a lovely silky coat of good colour, which is soft and flowing, enhancing her overall appearance. She moves freely with good reach and drive, demonstrating a sound and balanced gait. Head is well-formed with nice teeth and strong pigment. Good angulation front and rear, contributing to her balanced outline and level topline. She is well-schooled and presents herself confidently in the ring showcasing her qualities to full advantage. While she is very pleasing overall, I would prefer her to be slightly shorter in loin to complete the picture and give her a more compact outline. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed.

2nd John’s Dohoci Cariad

Another 8-month-old puppy bitch. She has nice ears which she uses well, complementing her overall expression. She is compact, with a well-proportioned, short back that adds to her overall picture. Her coat is still developing but shows good potential. She moved well when settled, showing a lovely width in the rear, though her confidence could improve to allow her to fully showcase her attributes in the ring. Her head is well-formed, with nice teeth and strong pigment, adding to her pleasing expression. With more time and experience, I believe she will continue to mature and gain the confidence needed to highlight her positive qualities.

Limit Bitch (4,2)

1st Shrive’s Clanhanna Reet Petit (AI)

3-year-old bitch of lovely type, presenting a pleasing and well-balanced outline. Has a really nice coat, which is in great condition and completements her overall appearance. Her angulation is good , allowing her to move around the ring with ease and style, demonstrating reach and drive. Her ears are well set and of good size, which she uses effectively to enhance her expression. A well-constructed bitch with a lovely balanced picture, showing excellent breed characteristics. Reserve Best Bitch.

2nd Fallon’s Manawyddan Bizzy Lizzy For Crofftysofty

Another lovely 4-year-old bitch, slightly straighter in angulation that 1st place, yet still balanced. She has a nice mature coat, which is in excellent condition and contributes to her pleasing appearance. Her ears are well placed and of good size, complementing her expression nicely. She moved steadily around the ring with a nice front. However she could benefit from more reach and drive, which would come from having slightly more angulation both front and rear. Her tail is well carried, adding to her overall balance. Teeth are good with a strong, correct bite.

Open Bitch (4,2)

1st Hughlock’s Keevasdream Ballerina Blue JW

2 year-old bitch of good overall type. She moves nicely around the ring with balanced, fluid movement. Good ear set and shape. Well-constructed angles front an rear which allowed her to move around the ring with reach and drive. Tail is well set and carried, and she has a pleasing head with nice teeth and strong pigment. Her coat is still developing, but the texture is correct and the colour is coming through well. While generally well-proportioned, I would prefer her to be slightly shorter in loin to complete the overall picture. A promising young bitch with many positive attributes and the potential to continue developing well with maturity. Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed

2nd Clarke’s Flaxela Everlasting Love IR JCH

11 year-old bitch, a lovely veteran who is a credit to the breed. She carries her years extremely well, presented in excellent condition. Her Irish coat is soft and silky, maintaining the correct texture and giving her a very typical appearance. She clearly enjoyed her day out, moving around the ring with enthusiasm and ease. A charming girl with a joyful presence – lovely to see her still enjoying the show ring at this age.
