Southern Bullmastiff Society

Thank you to the Southern Bullmastiff Club for giving me the opportunity to judge your club show and I'm told a nice entry.  Whilst this threw me out of my comfort zone, I thoroughly enjoyed judging the breed as what you see is what you get.... I found the quality of dogs very good on the whole, but some exhibits were too long in loin.  I'd also would like to thank the exhibitors for their entry and taking my placing with great sportsmanship. 

Veteran Dog

1st Amor – Keepersguard Ragnar’s Wrath, 7year old red male, with good mouth, strong head large square head, would like little shorter in loin, good length to tail, moved well

Minor Puppy Dog

1st Myers – Hyerdunscar Hot Gossip with Optimus, 8 month old fawn with good mouth, strong square head with well filled cheeks, good shoulder, would like a little shorter in loin, well-muscled, nice tight feet, moved well for his age .

2nd Aston & Bowen – Astonpride The Joker, 8 month red male, one, large upstanding male, strong body, well-muscled, moved well for his age, would like tighter feet

Junior Dog

1st Colliass – Optimus Jim Beam at Oldwell, good size frame well-muscled fawn male, strong square head with excellent mouth, excellent shoulder placement with good width through front, good length to tail, well-muscled moved well with purpose, all these 3 boys are litter mates

2nd Popp & Myers – Optimus Jameson Of Penychen JW, prefer overall balance and head of one, but has same qualities as one, 

3rd Downs & Myers – Optimus Johnnie Walker

2nd Bingham – Daisonville I’m Your Man – fawn male, not as compact in body as one, head good but not as strong in cheek as one, moved well and strong, would like tighter feet

1st Jones – King Of The Manor By Sundabish – Nice compact strong fawn male of good size, with good width through his front with nice tight cat like feet, strong square head with well filled cheeks, nice shaped fold to ears, level with eye, moved well with purpose and strong movement, pleased to award him Best Dog

2nd Aston – CH Angel’s Phoenix Ron Weasley Astonpride JW – Red male with good set ears and good fold, larger frame than one, good width through front and depth to his chest, strong compact body, good topline, good length of tail, moved well

1st Thomas & Bull CH Optimus Euphoria VW – Wow what a credit to her owner for the great condition of this 9 year old fawn girl, compact body with correct length of rib, good width through front, correct head proportions, well-muscled moved well, a pleasure to award her BVIS

Minor Puppy Bitch

1st Aston – Astonpride Poison Ivy – 8 month old red, would like a little bit more of her all round but she still very young and hopefully will come with age, pretty head with correct proportions, and compact body with good length to her rib, excellent shoulder placement giving her a good outline, positive on the move. 2nd Lindley – Hyderdunscar Hot Gossip with Optimus – 8 month old fawn girl of quality, larger frame than one, just preferred compact body of one, good head, good rib moved well

1st Myers – Optimus Juliette – fawn girl at just 14 months, she took my eye when she entered the ring with her deportment and style, lovely size with strong compact body, strong square head with just the right amount of wrinkle and correct proportions and well filled cheeks, strong well-muscled arched neck, moved well, nice tight cat –like feet, Res Best Bitch and Best Junior in show

2nd Amor – Fowlerheight Zoom, 14 months old, preferred head and body of one, good length of rib and loin, well-muscled moved well

Post Graduate Bitch

1st Bingham – Daisonville Philippa – 2 yr. old fawn, nice size girl, good head and strong, good length to rib and loin, nice tight feet, good length of tail, moved well

2nd Harris – Lynchspride Doja Cat – 4 yr. old red girl with the hugest of canine teeth I’ve ever seen, good head, good width in fore chest, well ribbed with compact body, moved well

2nd Spencer- Islekeepers Rough Diamond - 4 yr. old longer cast than one and not as strong in skull as one, good shoulder, good length of rib, with excellent tight feet, well-muscled, moved well

1st Colliass – Hyerdunscar Charmed by Oldwell – 2 yr. old fawn girl, strong square head with just about the right wrinkle, nice placed ears with good fold good mouth strong muzzle with good filled cheeks, good width through fore chest, even when stood naturally with good depth, strong arched well-muscled neck leading into excellent shoulder, good length to rib and loin, strong compact body with level topline, moved with power and so positive with good width from front to back, loved everything this girl would just have liked her a little smaller in frame. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and BIS
