1st Scrimgeour’s Another Love at Rezzini NAF TAF. RBOB, BP, PPG2

8 months old b/m, nice for size and substance. Pleasing head and expression with good balance of skull to muzzle, obliquely set eyes, good ear set and carriage, and a well filled foreface with good underjaw. She has a good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, straight front, level topline with slight slope over croup, enough bend of stifle and well let down hocks. She was a bit loose coming and going but I can forgive this in a puppy and she should tighten up with maturity.

2nd Scrimgeour’s Always On Point at Rezzini NAF TAF

Black tri litter sister to 1st, developing at a different rate and needs a shade more length in body to improve her overall balance. She too has a kind and alert expression with similar head properties to her sister. She is moderately angulated at both ends with enough depth of chest and spring of rib for her age, firm topline with good width to her hindquarters, well let down hocks and oval feet with well arched toes. She moved soundly from all angles, just preferred the outline of her sister on the day.

Feminine black tri with a pleasing outline, a little short of coat on the day. Pretty head with skull and muzzle of equal length, well defined stop, neat ears used alertly and well placed eyes. Good reach of neck and layback of shoulder, straight front with enough bone, level back and slope over croup, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well.

2nd Burt’s Aussiame Hot To Trot JW

Black tri male, well made throughout with strong bone. He has a good balance of skull to muzzle, distinct stop, dark eye, nicely rounded muzzle and good underjaw. Good layback of shoulder, straight front with flexible pasterns, good depth of chest, level back with strong loin, muscular well bent stifles and well let down hocks. Moved soundly. Close decision, just preferred the ear carriage and expression of 1st.

Red tri, nice for size and balance with good bone. Pleasing head of correct proportions with moderate stop, obliquely set almond shaped eyes, good ear set and carriage, well filled foreface with good underjaw, all combining to give a soft yet masculine expression. He has a good reach of neck, well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, good depth of chest, level topline, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved well in profile and coming towards but was rather close behind.

Veteran b/m girl. Feminine head with skull and muzzle of equal length, well defined stop, expressive eyes and well set ears carried alertly. Presented a pleasing outline with a nicely arched neck of good length, level topline and slight slope over the croup. She has a good layback of shoulder, straight front with round bone, oval feet, and well angulated hindquarters. Moved well from all angles.

2nd Burt’s Save The Tears For Another Day with Aussiame (IMP ITA)

Handsome black tri male of good size and substance. His head handles well with a flat skull, moderate stop, nicely rounded muzzle, good underjaw, well placed and shaped eyes and well used ears. He too pleased for his overall make and shape, he has a good reach of neck, level topline, good depth of chest and spring of rib, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Presented in super coat and condition. Close up to 1st but on the day his movement was rather erratic, probably not helped by the size and shape of the ring.

3 year old blue who impressed for her shape and balance, both standing and on the move. Her head proportions are correct with a broad flat skull, muzzle of equal length, well set eyes and ears, and a soft expression, ever attentive to her handler. She has a good reach of neck, level topline, and graceful sweep over the croup, she is well angulated fore and aft with a straight front, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs and strong loin. Moved true and with purpose. Shown in lovely coat and condition.

Attractive outline on this 14 month old b/w girl. She still has some maturing to do in head and body but she has all the essentials. Her head proportions are correct but the skull still needs to broaden and flatten, the stop is well placed and she has dark oval eyes and sensitively used well placed ears giving a soft expression. She has a super reach of neck and well laid shoulders and length of upper arm, straight front with round bone, neat oval feet, level topline and slope over croup to a low set tail, hind angulation complements front assembly. Moved well as her construction would suggest.

10 year old b/w bitch who wears her years well. Her head handles well with skull and muzzle of equal length, well placed stop, dark eye and good ear set and carriage. She has a good reach of neck, straight front with enough bone, well developed ribcage, level topline, gentle slope over croup to a long tail, and well angulated and muscled hindquarters. In great condition, she moved soundly. Just preferred the eye and expression of 1st.

Quality 17 months old b/w male I judged as a puppy and pleased to see he has fulfilled his early promise, already gaining his title. His head is masculine but not coarse, with a good balance of skull and foreface, distinct stop, expressive dark oval eyes and semi erect ears carried alertly. He has a pleasing outline on the stack with good body proportions, an excellent reach of neck, level topline and correct slope over the croup to a long low set tail. His layback of shoulder and return of upper arm is good with elbows under the withers, and he has a straight front with round bone, strong oval feet, good depth of chest and length of ribcage, strong loin, very good bend of stifle and short parallel hocks which allowed him to drive round the ring. His side gait is impressive, effortless and with minimal lift of the feet.

2nd Dalbys’ Feels Like Heaven Amona Canis among Axernamoon (IMP CZE)

Ultra feminine b/w girl. She has a good balance of skull to muzzle, correct stop, nicely rounded foreface, well set dark oval eyes, and although she was reluctant to use her ears they are set on well and when something catches her attention she brings them up giving a delightful soft expression. She is well made with enough substance for her size, a muscular neck of good length, balanced angulation at both ends, good depth of chest, neat feet, level topline held on the move and gentle sweep over the croup to a long low set tail, She moved true with typical border collie stealth.

8 year old male in excellent coat and condition. His head is fairly broad with a defined stop, rounded muzzle, good mouth and underjaw, dark oval eyes and medium size ears used alertly. He pleased for his shape and substance, with a strong neck of good length, good layback of shoulder and length of upper arm, straight front with flexible pasterns, oval feet, good depth of chest and spring of rib, level back with strong loin, high set well carried tail, and muscular well angulated hindquarters. Moved true from all angles with an easy gait. Quite a character and clearly enjoying his day out!

Striking black male with a pleasing outline. Masculine outlook with head of correct proportions, good eye shape and ear set, strong muzzle, correct bite. Long well muscled neck, good topline, firm loin and slope over croup, long tail. He has a very good layback of shoulder and length of upper arm, straight front, good depth of chest, and well angulated hindquarters. Movement powerful and true.

10 year old bitch with an attractive head. Her skull and muzzle are of equal length and parallel with a medium stop, well filled foreface, strong underjaw, very dark almond shaped eyes, and well used ears. She has a good reach of neck, well angulated forequarters, straight back, broad loin, slope over croup, good bend of stifle, well let down hocks, and a very long low set tail. Unfortunately she was carrying too much weight which spoilt her topline on the move and she was moving wide in front.

This boy stood out for his shape, balance and great ring presence. He has the desired blunt wedge head with a flat skull and defined stop, very dark oval eyes and well placed pointed ears carried alertly. He is sturdily built with a strong muscular neck, well laid shoulders and return of upper arm, good depth of chest, level topline, short loin, slight slope over croup to a long tail, and well angulated hindquarters. He moved freely with good reach and drive.

10 year old bobtail male. Well balanced wedge head with distinct stop, nicely rounded muzzle, dark oval eyes and good ear set and carriage giving a keen expression. Muscular neck of good length, balanced angulation at both ends, straight front, good depth of chest, level topline, short parallel hocks, good legs and feet. In good coat and condition. Moved true.

Pretty girl who was somewhat overwhelmed by the environment to start with, but she soon settled down to let me examine her. Her head handles well with parallel planes of skull to muzzle, slight stop, well filled foreface, good mouth, dark oval eyes and high set erect ears used alertly. She is very nice for shape and size with a strong neck, well angulated at both ends, level topline, and gently sloping croup to a long low set tail. Moved true from all angles. As she gains in confidence she should do well.

Black male, one I have judged before and delighted to see he has gained his title since then. Super size and square shape, enough neck, well angulated at both ends, level topline, high set tail. Blackest of coats, perfectly corded. Light effortless movement.

Charming 6 year old b/m, a little dark in colour now but it is well broken. Pleasing head and expression with a flat skull, perceptible stop, smooth cheeks, dark obliquely set almond shaped eyes, and neatly tipped ears. Nice for size, she is well made with a good reach of neck, a straight front with good bone and flexible pasterns, level topline and gentle sweep over croup to a low set long enough tail. She too was very sound on the move.

Tricolour girl, 12 years old but from her condition and movement you would never know it. Her head is balanced with a flat skull and parallel planes, the neatest of ears used alertly all the time, she is perhaps a shade full in eye but this does not detract from her sweet expression. She is of ideal size with a super reach of neck, well laid shoulder and return of upper arm, straight front with round bone and flexible pasterns, level topline and slope over croup to a low set tail. Her hindquarters are equally well angulated and muscular. Very sound on the move, she is a credit to her owner.

Well presented 10 year old in profuse harsh coat whose condition also belies her years. Soundly made with good square shape, straight front, enough bone for her correct size, deep brisket, gentle rise in topline, strong loin, well muscled hindquarters. Her head handles well with a broad skull, strong muzzle, dark eyes set well apart, and small ears, all combining to give a soft feminine expression. Easy mover with good drive from the rear.

He is well made with a straight front, good bend of stifle, and well let down short hocks enabling him to move with drive. Pleasing head of correct proportions with typical Sheltie outlook and charm. At 21 months he is still immature in chest and body compared with those above him, but nonetheless completed a very pleasing group line up.
