AV WORKING - V (3, 3a).

Rottweiler – O. 1 & G1 Franklin & Hucker’s Bevanray Carlos JW. 22 month old male, substantial head, clean eyes, short strong muzzle, very good topline, excellent mover in all directions, especially good rear drive, compact feet, great character, condition, alert and on his toes.

2 Eynott’s Jezeve Perfect Storm at Bohannons. Another substantial male on the taller side, good bone and substance, accurate coming towards and going away, great depth of chest, very well muscled up. 3 BP and PG2 Davies’ Shalkato Fire and Water.

DOBERMANN

L – 1, BP & PG3. Bowdler’s Rosebebe Beam Me Up for Inverteign. 8 month old brown, in super coat and condition with short nails, attractive head, excellent bone and great depth of colour, good length of neck, firm quarters, rather unsettled in this hall so didn’t make the best of himself on the move.

O – 1 & BOB. Caldicott’s Aritaur Cirilla with Phimont JW. Black bitch with clear defined markings, makes a nice outline and shape, carrying a little too much weight over the withers, nice clean underline, attractive head, attentive, decent feet bone and width between front. She was crabbing going away.

BMD

O - 1, BOB & G2 Ellis’ Kernow Sealion at Fitzford. 2 yr old male, caught my eye for good size, shape and substance, presented in thick coat, attractive head with good length of muzzle, excellent shoulder angulation, strong back, deep chest, strong rear stifle, long tail and great character, great positive mover covering ground with each step, a little close behind.

2 Oakaby’s Tickbern Only One Carina at Iscabern. 12 month old female, smaller build but still plenty of substance, feminine head but good width and breadth, good length of neck, strong topline, good tail set and carriage, moves soundly and with very good parallel rear movement, would just like more strength in rear hocks. 3 Oakaby’s Iscabern Daffadowndilly.

O – 1, BOB & G3 Cox’s Blue Thunder of Black Hunar at Rainwilds JW IMP (BB1) 1 lovely rich colour on this 2 year old male who is well muscled up, excellent bone and substance, his head is large, well filled, muzzle short, ears high set, clean through the eyes, body in excellent condition, sound mover with good length of stride. Just appeared to tire quickly.

Smith’s Snowshoes Time For Jenga. Alaskan Malamute 6 month old b, good size for age with plenty of growth to come, in super clean condition, with thick coat all over in abundance, prettiest head with well placed eyes, high set triangular ears, dark pigmentation on nose and eye rims, holds her shape on the move and moves steadily, a little untidy in front but typical at this age. Excellent tail carriage and with that characteristic waving plume.

PASTORAL GROUP

AV PASTORAL IMPORT – O 1 & Best pastoral import Hackney’s Of Trebons Berger Blanc Boo ShCEx (Imp). White Swiss shepherd, alert, large high set triangular ears, slightly sloping patterns, good length of neck, carrying correct amount of weight over the body, great ribbing, strong top line, long and low set tail, well angulated rear, moved very well in all directions with long stride. Well presented thick coat.

V – 1 Cooper & Chritchlow’s Ch Pavoskas Aly Arttu JW ShCM ShCEx VW Finnish Lapphund, 10.5 yr old male with a fantastic coat and a strong robust body underneath, excellent head and tail carriage on the move, head is of good shape and size with a very pleasing expression.

2 Hackney’s Starvon All About Me, Swedish Vallhund, 10 year old male, very alert and attentive, great bone and excellent mover in all directions, strong top line, great thick coat and condition, just carrying a little extra weight. Very good head type and expression.

ROUGH COLLIE

OD – 1, BOB, BP and PG1, Morey’s Brookynut Clyde Barrow. very nice promising 6 month old pup with a smashing head and expression, very alert, with correct eye shape, long tapering muzzle, decent width to front, strong body, well angulated rear quarters, long and low set tail.

OB - 1 Morey’s Brookynut Bonnie Parker, 6 month old pup, litter sister to previous class winner and many of the same comments apply, she’s not quite as confident as her brother but lovely shape, sound mover and in excellent coat and condition.

2 Wensley & Lusty’s Blamorder Any Dream Will Do, 3 yr old blue merle, very out of coat and condition, but extremely alert and attentive with a strong head, good length of muzzle, ears were high set, good depth of chest, just lacking muscle condition. Very good mover in all directions.

BRIARD

O – 1 & BOB Jacobs-Pearce Arundall Mithra ShCEx. Well built and upstanding 7 yr old male, high set ears, in gorgeous natural straight well presented coat, moved very well in profile holding his shape and tracking up true.

2 Jacobs-Pearce Salieri heaven Knows at Arundall ShCM VW ShCEx. 10 year old black b who has no grey hairs on her at all, but would prefer a little more fringing on the head, slightly losing her top line in the stand, handled and presented well, sloping croup. Long tail.

POLISH LOWLAND O – 1 Burdett-Coutts’ Ch Leon Astarte Gold Ama Me at Chrevle ShCEX (Imp). Brisk easy mover, slight crabbing on the out and back but very good in side profile, holding a square outline. In plenty of coat, head of good proportions, nice front, good spring of rib. Well presented and handled.

AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD

G – 1 Scanlan’s Sparkaway Jeepers Creepers of Franmar. A finer bitch of slightly longer proportions, beautifully presented and handled, bitch was slightly reserved but confident to be gone over, very accurate on the out and back, slight curve over croup, head a fraction long in muzzle.

2 Burt’s Aussiame Hot To Trot JW. Chunky boy, black trim, with plenty of bone and slightly sloping pastern, good balance in head and ears triangular and well used, happy boy, just not as accurate on the out and back as 1, his topline could be stronger in stand.

O - 1 BOB and G2 Scanlan’s Franmar Blue Mystique, blue merle bitch, in her prime, who I’ve judged before and rate highly. She has a super make and shape, great length of neck, head is of good size, very alert, super top line, well angulated rear quarters, powers round the ring in all directions, with a strong powerful stride.

2 Scanlan’s Jotars Reach For The Stars with Franmar very nice red merle, 4 years, just carrying a little too much weigh over the ribs and stands so well fore square but just tires easily on the mover, but a great type and very nice head with good expression, well handled. 3 Burt’s Save The Tears For Another Day with Aussiame (Imp).

GSD L (2, 2a)

GSD O 1, BOB & G1 Stephens’ Ch Chalksville Made of Magic for Brightmeadow. Absolutely stunning male, 2 years old, with good breadth to skull, alert ears set high, straight forelegs, excellent bone, substance and strong pasterns, well angulated rear, with strong hocks, excellent temperament, so impressive on the move with being so balanced and firm and sound. Was very pleased to hear he went BIS. 2 Shaw’s Astradine Keepsake JW. Veteran who is showing her age, a little plain in head, of good nature, firm and confident, alert ears, deep expressive eyes.

SWEDISH VALLHUND PG (1, 1a). O 1 & BOB & G4 Strong & Clinton’s Ch Ohanaway Having A Blast at Mackjama. Nearly 6 year old male of good type and substance, very active and strongly built, excellent brisk mover in all directions especially good rear drive. Holds a high set tail proud as well as head, very alert and on his toes, a good exhibit. Well handled to advantage. 2 S All About Me. 2nd in AV pastoral V class.

WELSH CORGI CARDIGAN PG - 1 Young’s Gowerston Genesis. 2 year old blue Merle but deceptively young looking, would like more muscle and harder condition. But coat is well lying and smooth, well up on legs, happy demeanour, very pretty head with excellence bat ears, very good topline held in the stand and on the move.

O – 1 & BOB Siviter’s Rubegud Takin The Mick ShCM VW was unplaced earlier in the veteran class but despite sometimes hopping rather a lot, I liked the head and tail carriage and overall shape of him on the move.

2 Siviter’s Faywaidd Spice ShCEx. almost 7, she’s rather heavy in body and not as hard condition, was rather lethargic on the move.

WELSH CORGI PEMBROKE O (2, 2a)

AV NSC PASTORAL P – 1 & BAVNSC puppy, & PG3 Wensley’s Blamorder Starstruck by Versatilis. 11 month Smooth Collie pup, very lively and bouncy, good bone and substance and stands over a lot of ground, attentive to owner and alert, straight forelegs, slightly sloping pastern decent turn of stifle, sound mover.

AV NSC PASTORAL O 1 Wensley’s Constella Hazy Cosmic Jive JW. Very smart black tri male of a great size and shape, very nice head with good head planes, erect ears, strong neck, firm topline, good depth of chest, strong quarters, tail decent length and carried nicely on the move, very well handled.
