A well deserved thank you to the committee and helpers at the show.  I had a really good day with a lovely buffet lunch and was made to feel very welcome.

Bedlington Terriers

Post Graduate (2 entries/1 absent)

1st 217. Ross & Greggan’s Mactufts Gentleman’s Game. 2 year old male. Correct size for height. Head in good proportions with well presented profuse topknot. Well presented overall. Did not stand to excel his front when free standing. Enough rise over the loin. Correct feet. Ears of correct thickness and presented well, not over trimmed.

On the initial walk he moved well but then became a little more unsettled which spoilt his outline slightly. Redeemed by walking much better in the challenge for Best of Breed.

Limit (1 entry/no absent)

1st Ross & Greggan’s Raphelyans Unzip to Roisins At Mactufts. 8 yr female. Handled sensitively by her young handler. Well presented but nails could be a little shorter. Would have preferred more of the horseshoe front which was hard to assess as a little unsettled today. Correct eye. Deep chest with enough rise over the loin. Correct pleasing size for type. No exaggerations.

Open (1 entry/ 0 absent)

1st 218. Ross & Greggans’s Mactufts Nanny McPhee. 4 year old female. Correct size, lighter coat colour, well presented and well handled to get the best out of her. Correct horseshoe front, good depth of chest with enough width and rise over the loin. Correct dentition. Well presented, nothing hidden. Head in proportion, no stop, correct width of skull. Well placed ears and ears well set. Correct turn of stifle and hocks let down rewarding lovely movement. Best of Breed.

Cairn Terrier

Open (1 entry/0 Absent)

1st 221 Dodd’s Droverlaw Remember My name. 8 month male. Correct head shape for breed, in correct proportional, enough width and dome shape to skull. No flatness. Ears correctly set and used to excel his keen and alert appearance. Eye of correct shape and set correctly. There was a maturity to this boy and was surprised to find he was only 8 months which did explain his interest in everything going on around him and the floor. Correct depth to his chest and developing nicely. Correct bend of stifle. He moved well when he put his mind to it. Well deserved of his Best of Breed and Best Puppy despite standing alone.

Cesky Terrier

Open (2 entered/ 0 absent)

1st Pearson’s Winoski Aemond. 2 year old male. Well presented and in excellent condition. Eye correct.

Ears, moderate size hanging close to cheek. Front straight. Gentle arch of the neck onto well laid shoulders. Very slight rise up to the loin/croup. Smooth coat. Tail carried low. Made her handler work today as a little reluctant to walk on the change of colour of matting. Best of Breed.

2nd Pearson’s Winoski Rhaenyra. Litter sister to 1st. Of similar size and shape and all feminine. Lighter shade of silver grey. Head in proportion. Slightly more level top line than the 1st. Movement not as good as first but also a little unsettled.
