What a pleasure it was to judge at this friendly and well supported show. I would like to thank my stewards Jack, Chris and Neil for the good humour and for keeping the ring running so smoothly. There was an excellent quality of dogs and my decisions were accepted in a very sporting manner. All in all a very enjoyable day indeed.

1st Trouton’s Citycroft Aphrodite of Runnel (Whippet)

A very sweet and feminine 8 month old brindle bitch who is a lovely shape and size. She has the correct bone for her build, and has an elegance about her so apt for the breed. Her head is the correct shape and she has a dark, oval eye and delicate rose shaped ears. Her jaw is strong and she has a pleasing neck which leads to good shoulders and a super outline. I loved her gentle curves and excellent rear. Shown in super condition this lady is well muscled and in excellent condition.

2nd Howgate & Hull’s Palmik Never Too Late (Whippet)

Well this young fawn Whippet male really put his handler through her paces! He has some lovely qualities and I particularly liked his size with the correct bone. He is a nice type of Whippet and has so many breed qualities. For me, he excels in outline with a slight rise over his loin and there is a definite tuckup. Stood he naturally covers a lot of ground and today on the move he was a little tinker. In the rare moments of calmness I saw a well moving youngster who, once settled, will have a great career.
