Schnauzer Club Of Great Britain

Schnauzer Club of Great Britain Open Show 28/9/25

Miniature Schnauzer and BIS

Baby Puppy Bitch

1st Johnson's Day After Day with Daladeez

An adorable, sassy 4 month old black and silver bitch. Even at this age she is all there. She is cobby, square and beautifully balanced. She has enough bone, while retaining femininity. Neat V shaped ears framing her head, with a dark almond shaped eye and a sweet expression. She is a little loose but totally expected at this age. Her coat is coming through and her colour is beautifully clear. She is a real charmer. Best Baby Puppy in Breed.

2nd Clay’s Silvamin’s Dolly Mixture.

Just shy of 5 months old, this pepper and salt bitch was just slightly longer cast than #1, but another with lots to like about her. She is feminine without being toyish, and has a wicked look in her dark eye. Her coat is harsh, with good banding and a lovely mask over her face. Tight elbows and well laid shoulders, and a lovely firm topline that slopes gently to her tail. She wasn't as positive on the move as #1, but I am sure that with time she will find her confidence and live up to that mischievous expression. She is another really lovely prospect for the breed.

Veteran.

1st Krieger’s Schnaustar Black Pearl.

7 years young, this delightful black bitch has a hard coat and gives no sign of her age. She has a neat, wedge shaped head, with a dark almond eye under her bushy eyebrows. Her face is framed by neat, high set ears. She has a slight slope to her topline that leads to a well set tail. She has matching angles front and back, and while I would like a little more forechest to complete the picture, she is able to move with grace and drive. She is so light on her feet and is always presented and handled well. Best Veteran in Breed.

Puppy Dog

1st Weeks' Eronel Coffee Bean

This 11 month old black boy was not thrilled about the flooring and didn't really want to move out, but his handler was extremely patient and encouraging with him. She worked very hard to get him going and give him confidence.

He is on the larger side, and this makes him look a little older than he is. He is balanced and in proportion and has a typical schnauzer expression, a broad head and strong muzzle. His ears are very unsettled, but it does give him character! He is somewhat upright in shoulder, but his rear angles match this. Topline is firm on the move and he does have a lovely tail set. When he did get going he showed lovely drive. His coat is hard and he has good furnishings. Best Puppy Dog.

Junior Dog

1st Weeks' Eronel Coffee Bean.

Post Graduate Bitch

1st Johnson's Marmica Seven Wonders

A smart young man of good colour and coat texture. He is cobby and solid. Wedge head and a blunt muzzle, masculine without coarseness. He is up to size and has good bone. Nicely balanced, with a good forechest, tight elbows and a deep chest. He has good reach and drive on the move, and carries himself with attitude.

2nd Beckson's Tammux After Dark

14 month old black and silver of good size and with a lovely jacket. He was taller than #1 but this did not detract from his overall appearance. He is square, with a slight slope to his topline, and has a good tail set and carriage. He has a neat head with v shaped ears. Tight cat like feet and he moves with purpose. He is a very smart youngster.

Open Dog

1st Moorcroft’s Amorevita Uranus JW

This 2 year old black male fills the eye on the stand and in profile on the move. He does not disappoint when you put your hands on him either. He is masculine, with a broad head, blunt, strong muzzle and neat V shaped ears. He has well laid shoulders, a prominent breast bone, and a deep chest, with tight elbows. Straight boned legs, tight cat like feet and good feathering. His topline slopes gently to a good tail set and carriage and he holds this on the move. He is well angulated and muscular at the rear, and he moves with power and drive. He is the complete package, and I am sure that there are green cards in his future. Best Dog, Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Wise and Johnson’s Xebec Warlock with Daladeez (Imp Deu)

17 month old black male, of a different type to #1. More upright in shoulder than #1, but his rear angles match this and he moves well enough. He has a sloping topline, and a lovely tail set and carriage. Harsh jacket and shown in excellent condition. He is a smart lad with a good head and expression. He is very light on his feet on the move.

Minor Puppy Bitch

1st Beckson's Wlanimiu's Jointly To Your Success With Tammux (Imp UKR)

An absolute cracker of a black and silver puppy. 11 months old and packed full of promise. She is square, cobby and exudes breed type. She has a great coat, harsh and clean colours. Neat head and ear, and is feminine without being too slender. She has a lovely dark eye and an alert, intelligent expression. Well laid shoulder with good chest. Time will give her that additional spring of rib, but she currently has lovely right elbows, a firm topline with a great tail set and carriage. She has well balanced angles and uses her strong rear to her advantage on the move. She is an exciting prospect and I look forward to seeing where she goes from here.

Best Puppy Bitch, Best Puppy in Breed.

Junior Bitch

1st. Butler’s Penbro Replica for Devorasjoy.

Where can I start? This bitch strutted into the ring like she owned it, and dared me to look away. Another that screams breed type, which is exactly what you would expect from this kennel. She is feminine at a glance and is moderate throughout. A broad head, tapering to a blunt muzzle, dark almond eyes framed by neat, high set V shaped ears. She has well laid shoulders, tight elbows, and a deep chest. Spring of rib will come with age, but she already has a good ribcage. Her front movement is spot on, and she shows good reach. She has a sloping topline, a well set tail and she holds this at all times on the move. She is square, cobby and is so well balanced. On the move she is flawless, combining power and grace. Her harsh coat and beautiful grooming complete the picture and she is handled to perfection. There is so much more to come for her I am sure. Best Bitch, Best of Breed.

2nd Copper’s Copellastar Go With The Flo

A two year old pepper and salt bitch, shown in beautiful condition. She gives a neat picture, square and robust with moderate angles fore and aft. Her elbows are tight to her ribcage, which is well sprung and she has a a firm, slightly sloping topline. She has a high set tail and carries this well. She moves with good reach and drive, and is handled to advantage. A smart, harsh jacket completes a very attractive picture.

Open Bitch

1st Copper’s Violis Poetic Haiku for Copellastar JW.

Last time I had the pleasure of judging this bitch she was a fresh 6 month old. She has since grown into all that early promise and I am sure her crown will not be far away. She is a very neat 2 year old pepper and salt with a feminine head and expression. She has neat, high set ears, and a keen expression in her dark eye. Firm topline and tail set, good forechest and well laid shoulder. Rear angles match the front and she moves with ease and purpose. Her handler gets the best out of her and she uses the space well to show herself off. She has a lovely harsh banded jacket and a mask to match. A very well deserved Reserve Best Bitch.

Best in Show

Well I gave myself a lovely little problem for BIS, with three lovely examples of the breeds to chose between. Each one was a delight to go over and each had their virtues. There were beautiful temperaments on display and they were all a real credit to their respective owners and breeders.

When it came down to it, BIS was the Mini, Penbro Replica for Devorasjoy. She just had that extra sparkle and presence that simply couldn't be denied. She was perfectly handled to take the top spot.

Close on her heels was the Schnauzer Ch Odivane Sister Act, who gave it everything she had in the tank in the final go round, and made this a very close call.

The Mini puppy Wlanimiu's Jointly To Your Success With Tammux oozed type and star quality to clinch BPIS, and the venerable Schnauzer gentleman Ch Khanate Gin Fizz ShCM VW showed his class and experience to take home BVIS.
