Schnauzer Club of Great Britain Open Show 28/9/25

Schnauzers.

Baby Puppy

1st Moore’s Odivane Brotherhood Of Man

A 5 month old male that just exudes quality. Even at this young age, his coat is harsh and he has good furnishings. He is light on his feet but he is well off for bone and drives around the ring with power. His rear is well angulated, with a good bend of stifle. He has a masculine head, ending in a blunt muzzle. Well laid shoulder, tight elbows and a prominent breast bone. His chest is deep enough, and with age will gain that spring of rib to finish off the picture. Firm, with a slight slope to his topline, and a great tail set and carriage. He is so well balanced, and is a very exciting prospect. I am sure he will have a very exciting future.

Best Baby Puppy in Breed.

Veteran.

1st Bawden and Brown's Ch Khanate Gin Fizz ShCM VW

This 13 year old gentleman was not showing his age today, and was on a mission. He is in impeccable condition, with a beard and eyebrow to give anyone serious beard envy. Strong, masculine head, well laid shoulder and a sloping topline. He is balanced, everything is there in moderation, he has a good chest, powerful rear and a good tail set. He moves with power and grace and was showing the youngsters how it should be done. Best Veteran in Breed.

2nd Ladners Dalhamburg Kazanjian Red

7 year old male, finer all through than 1, and not as confident on the move. His young handler worked well with him however. He had a good coat, with enough furnishings. A wedge head with neat V shaped ears, lovely profile, arched neck and a good chest. Smart outline and balanced angles.

Junior Dog

1st Ladner’s Elrond of Imladris at Dalhamburg NAF TAF

A happy go lucky 13 month old male who has the sweetest expression. He is a little short of concentration, but when he did focus, he was able to show some lovely movement, with good reach from the shoulder. He needs a little more muscling to really propel him around the ring. Tail set and carriage were good, as was his coat. He needs plenty of time, but he is all in proportion.

Open Dog

1st Lockyer's Xavier Pepper Grand Calvara at Miccosukees (Imp Cze)

Two year old male, beautifully in proportion and starting to mature nicely. He has a good forecast with well laid shoulders. A firm, slightly sloping topline with a good tail set and carriage. He moves with power but isn't heavy. He has beat, catlike feet, straight, strong legs and moderate angles front and back. Eye catching while stacked and holds that shape on the move. Easily Best Dog and Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Lockyer's Miccosukees Oklahoma

Older than #1 by three days, and there is not much to pick between them at present. Another great coat, hard and smart. A wedge head with dark, oval eyes giving that intelligent expression. He has a balanced outline and despite being a touch smaller than his kennel mate, he is all in proportion. Smart on the move with power and drive. These two could easily change places each time.

Post Graduate Bitch

1st Moore's Odivane Just A Kid

Well she may be just a kid at 12 months, but this bitch ticked all my boxes. She is feminine, but what a little powerhouse. She is balanced, with good angles fore and aft. A prominent chest, shoulders are well laid back and she has a deep chest for her age. She has strong, straight bone in her legs and tight, cat like feet. Topline and tail set are spot on and she carries her tail well. She is the complete picture stacked and on the move and is one to keep a very close eye on for the future. It is a real pity she met her kennel mate in the challenge and she pushed very hard for Reserve Best Bitch, but just lost out on maturity.

2. Soave’s Hexenmeister Olive

A 20 month black bitch. While she was unsure of her surroundings on the move, when she did get going she moved well. Her coat is hard and she has good furnishings. She has a wedge head, and when she held herself up fully she had an arched neck and this leads to good shoulder placement. She does look somewhat high at the rear stacked, but when she moves this does level out. She needs more practice in stacking and more confidence to really make the most of herself.

Open Bitch.

1st. Moore’s Ch Odivane Sister Act

My notes literally just say Wow. I'm not sure what else I can say about this bitch that hasn't already been said by others in the past. She absolutely radiates class and elegance. Picture perfect on the stack, she presents a clean, balanced outline. She has a well developed chest, well laid shoulders, tight elbows and is well off for bone. A deep chest, slightly sloping topline and powerful hindquarters. She has the most beautiful face and a real schnauzer expression. She could not be denied Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

2. Bawden and Brown's Ch Amigris Ain’t Misbehavin at Khanate.

Slighter all the way through that #1, but another who’s class cannot be denied. She is light on her feet, but is well muscled and powerful on the move. She has such a classic schnauzer expression, with a strong but feminine head. Arched neck into clean, well laid shoulders. Deep chest, with tight elbows. She holds a firm topline on the move. She is another that draws the eye on the stack and is well presented and handled. She beat out the PGB winner for Reserve Best Bitch on maturity.
