Basset Fauve De Bretagne Junior D/B (2,1)

1. Leech’s Mochras Mahlord Rupert. A quality, forward showman with lots of appeal. Tall enough but still has very good proportions. Masculine, attractive head and eye, with well set ears. Needs to develop somewhat in front, wouldn’t like any less width or more crook . Well ribbed and holds a firm topline. Super rear which he really uses on the move, he has a long and balanced stride in profile. BP.

Basset Fauve De Bretagne Post Graduate D/B (2,1)

1. Mochras Marta. This bitch scores well for her size, outline and proportions. Lovely feminine head and oval eyes. Fair front and ok ribbing. Holds a good outline standing and moving. Moved soundly, if not as quick in her action as ideal.

Basset Fauve De Bretagne Open D/B (3,1)

1. Allenby’s Ch Rangali Pixie JW. A smart, well sized bitch. Pleasing head with the most lovely dark eyes and lively expression. Correct ear, both set and texture; jacket of super texture too. Well made front with a balanced rear. Topline could have been more level on the move but she has a fairly good stride and certainly has a quick action. BOB.

2. Horn’s Mochras Marionette. Litter sister to the PG winner and similar qualities, alike in make and shape. This bitch too has a lovely head and expression. Not quite the front of 1 here and whilst moving well, not quite the ideal tail carriage on the day.

Irish Wolfhound Open D/B (2,1)

1. Wilkinson’s Rainstar Eilex Among Hunacres. Lovely balance and outline to this bitch, liked her proportions with enough leg length. Long head. Really admired her flow neck into topline. Lovely strength and bend of stifle. Moved ok up and down and with a lengthy stride in profile.

Rhodesian Ridegback Open D/B (2,1)

1. Barnes’ Diamondridge Dreadnought JW. A male I have previously judged and admired. Ideal for strength and substance. He impresses so much for his proportions and upstanding presence. Masculine head with correct head planes and balance. Long neck. He is very well made all through. So much power on the move where he is very clean in his footfall and has a lengthy stride. BOB.

2. Joy’s Rovigo Argenta. A feminine and well proportioned bitch, pleasing head and expression. Flowed in outline and fairly balanced in angulation. Not quite using herself on the move today.
