Aberystwyth & District Canine Society

I would like to thank the committee for asking me to judge at this show and the exhibitors for entering under me. It is worth noting that I am not influenced by comments from other exhibitors on my choices and was surprised to be approached by an exhibitor who told me I had made the wrong decision. I remained pleased with my decisions whilst I was judging the group. Whilst I own a pastoral spitz breed my association with breeds in the Utility Group goes back 25 years having handled Shih Tzus, Keeshonds, schipperkes and having owned a German Spitz. I have a real interest in all spitz breeds and this had led me to learn more about other utility breeds over the years. Whenever I judge my focus is always on whether the dog is able to do the job it was bred for and this was no different today.
