Horley & District Show Society 24th August 2025

What a lovely show. A hard working Committee pulled off a very enjoyable day. The sun shone and all exhibitors bar one was very sporting and kind to each other as it should be.

I had some lovely exhibits considering it was a double Driffield the same day. Thank you to those that entered and those that attended.

1. Kendarctic Nobodies Fool For Shyllar 9 month male. Well balanced in profile, good for size,masculine head and eye, strong muzzle, good bone – strong neck on well laid shoulders. In excellent condition. Coat harsh and just coming back from a drop. Sound on the move, but not yet completely collecting himself – just maturity required to complete the picture. BP Res BOB

1. Ruthdale Perfection Through Shyllar JW ( Imp ROM). Oh my. What a treat. So well balanced, her head is strong and correct – but oh so feminine. She portrays quiet confidence. Well Laid shoulder from a strong neck. So well made front and rear, in excellent condition. Her outline is beautiful. Correct for size for a female. She is sound and effortless on the move. Carries herself with aplomb. A bit twitchy with her tail, but it was carried correctly when required. I could watch her stride out all day . BOB and pleased to see she was Group 1.

2. Krav Addict Solid Snake For Tykin ( Imp Fra) Mature Male in Good coat. Well muscled. Strong bone and hard muscle condition. Not happy to be handled to the rear quarters. I would like less of his head for his overall balance. Not as sound as he could be on the move today on his l/h/s shoulder.

1. Kingsline Nell Gwyn Petite compact 9-month-old.Good markings. Liked her overall shape and size – moves with purpose and freedom. Easy on her legs Correct foot placements. Sound across and back . Holds herself well in profile. Balanced head and eye. Correct mouth. BP

2. Demorace Belle Starr At Simberfour . Another very pretty and correct girl. 8 months. Compact and tight knit. Nice markings. In good condition. Free and sound on her legs. Preferred the head and eye of 1.

1. Durobrivae Bumble Bea – Nice female, another compact and well knitted together. Well-marked. On good legs, good shoulders, well-muscled. Moves freely and carries herself. Balanced head and eye and body proportions.

1. Bostontime Silver Lady JW. Liked her outline in profile. She moves with aplomb and has somewhere to go! Very lively! Compact and muscular. On good front and rear assembly, balanced head and eye. Sound coming and going. Clean lines through.

2. Krimshar Amethyst. Another nicely made female. Balanced through on strong limbs. Her head is nicely conformed. She too is sound on her legs but today didn’t carry herself as well in profile as 1.

1. Castrum Osinium No Limit For Avermayz (Imp HRV) Compact Brindle male. He has a good balance through, is cobby and muscular – balanced height ratios. Open nose, not overdone in the head. Strong neck to good shoulders. Nice tuck up and strong angled rear. When he moves he is sound and correct. Not yet completely collected yet but only a baby. BOB BP Grp 3 and Pleased to see him Puppy Group 1 ! Well done.

1. Bexbull Big Brother Brindle male. In good condition and well muscled. Has a correct eye and good ear balance and set – nice rise to the croup. Good feet. Moves correctly and soundly but not with as much effort as he could.

1. Bexbull Love Actually Pied bitch, very pretty, compact and good for size. Pleasing through, well muscled and moves with the correct gait. Preferred the head of the puppy overall. Res BOB .

2. Castrum Osinium Roller Coaster At Avermayz JW ( IMP CRO) Brindle male. Well muscled and correct gait, sound on his legs and well made. Would prefer less of his head and body for overall compactness and perhaps a bit less loose skin.

1. Rosco’s Hurricane compact young man with good shoulders and rear angles. Head is of good wedge with nice ear set, well furnished all over. Yet to finish his overall depth – but is a young dog and is yet to mature. Brisk and light on his feet, carrying himself straight and true. Good for size and overall balance BP

1. Ch Longdales Little Bird With Ferrybelle JW Veteran bitch. Still in immaculate hard condition. Feminine head and eye . well laid shoulder on a level topline. Well proportioned. Straight front and rear, well muscled. Sound and effortless on the move. Foot perfect. In excellent coat. BOB and Group 4

2. Ch Radajasas Henri Fiocca At DelGray . Another from the top drawer – white male, with an exquisite head. He is well made with lovely depth of brisket on strong straight legs and a well muscled straight rear. Compact outline, in excellent coat, professional on the move, effortless and brisk , true and fair. Tough call between first and second and was decided on a final run around that 1. Just snatched it away with her determination. Res BOB

1. Izlou Muffin Compares For Shyllar Black female. Good for size, compact and in super hard condition. Loved her head and eye and has good shoulders. Correct topline. Even at a slower pace she shows off her sound and free movement. Straight front and rear and effortless. Would probably like to see more coat. That said you can see that everything is in balance with no exaggeration. BOB

1. Jaidevs Fifth Avenue Via Cravessa- Red female. Pleasing in head and eye, shoulders are moderate from a correct neck/ Short loin and level back, good tail set. In good hard outer coat and soft under. Not exaggerated in any way. Good feet. Which she is light and quick on. Carries herself, sound and true. I preferred her in profile in the challenge to the PG Male.Res BOB BP

2. Black Matrix Di Poggio Petroio To Sealandair ( imp ita) .Black and Tan upstanding male, he pleases in overall balance too. Well-muscled. All in moderation. In good coat. Steady on the move and sound – just not the topline of 1 in profile today.

1. Chikamichi Go From Hachimantai To Sealandair (imp mne ) Black and Tan Male, of good size and proportions. Well made, sturdy to handle. Balanced head and eye. Sound on his feet. Mature through. Not in full coat today and in the challenge a little distracted for Res BOB which he lost to the puppy.

1. Toshiro Mifune Subarashii To Sealandair ( imp pol ) red male. Absolutely beautiful head – exquisite eye and plane proportions. Good cheeks and well set ears. Mature coat in super condition. Absolutely in moderation and superior in movement. Sound and light carries himself with ease. Well-muscled BOB.

1. Zandvoort Eternal Flame For Pyrekees A shame that she stood alone. Super compact girl with well sprung deep rib, balanced height length. Well-muscled and held together, strong straight rear. good feet. A balanced and not overdone head. Good mouth. Alert and expressive. On the move she had purpose carried herself in a clean brisk pace. Nothing overdone. Presented in a wealth of harsh coat and ruff. BOB

1. Conor Dreamed a Dream ( Imp Pol) Gold male 7 mths . handsome head with a nice eye, good planes, good neck and shoulders, needs to mature in depth yet. Good spring of rib, perhaps a little long in loin. Muscled rear which he used well, clean heels away and gaits soundly in side profile. BOB BP.

1. Xebec Warlock With Daladeez Black Male, off square shaped in profile. Super handsome head and head, well balanced. In good coat and furnishings, well muscled through. A good depth and spring of rib – tucks up, tail set on correctly. Carries himself on the move with reach and drive. Harsh jacket and furnishings. A very professional dog in his manner. BOB

1. Marnimica Seven Wonders . S&P Male. Liked his shape too . good dark eye, good head planes, good neck and shoulders, well made and muscled through. Carries himself but not as enthusiastic as the junior dog. Res BOB

Miracey Miss Holly Berry - Love the head shape and balance on his girl, pretty sparkly eyes full of mischief, good mouth and strong wide jaw, she has a solid front and rear end and is of good length and height. In super coat. Lovely laid shoulders and the width of front that shows the correct gait from all angles. She carries herself with no effort, strong clean heels come straight out. Her profile balance is just coming along nicely – could probably have a little more arc to her tail but that may come on with maturity BP Res BOB

2. Konatian Love Machine – Young male with lots to like. Scores in head and eye. Good neck and shoulders, depth is coming. Well sprung rib, strong straight rear. Moves soundly with clean feet but not the carriage of 1.

1. Shenleyvale Fifty Shades of Orange Male 17 months. Scores in head, proportioned nicely in length and height in good coat. Well made through. Good topline. sound moving and has a good profile and distinctive shih tzu gait.

2. Keola Miss Glitz and Glamour a very pretty bitch in head and eye. Balanced proportions. Good neck and shoulders, straight front and rear- firm loin and good spring of rib. Moves with no effort but not as settled as 1. In excellent coat and presentation.

1. Ethelsmead True Grit mature male with a good front assembly. Good length and topline. Strong powerful rear. Moves soundly and carries himself well. Nice outline. In excellent correct coat. Well-muscled in good condition.

1. Keola Driving Force JW . A handsome B&W male. Nothing about him is overdone. He has all the proportions in balance and moderation. Striking head piece in full furnishings, presented immaculately. Strong deep front with the width across the shoulders , level strong back, short loin, straight powerful rear, clean heels, effortless purposeful carriage with all the arrogance in the world. BOB.

2. Juhuas Expecto Patronium For J’adoremy Mature gold male in excellent body condition, balanced head to body. strong muscular angles, good lay of shoulder, strong rear, pleasing head. Sound to move, but not the profile and arrogance of 1 In good coat and furnishings.
