Burnley & District Canine Society

Breed: Dalmatian

Burnley & District Canine Society 13th September 2025

Thank you to the society for the invitation and to the stewards for their support on the day, this was a lovely venue and the committee worked very hard to accommodate more ring space which was very much appreciated. Thank you to the exhibitors for their sporting decisions and turning out after a double show the previous day.

Puppy (1,0)

1st Mrs F Kellett Perdita’s Brice for Jazzydots – 6-month-old black spotted male with a calm but happy temperament, good to go over and showing promise in his movement, just needs to develop some rhythm as he matures. Scores well for his angulation showing good development in his fore chest and a powerful rear with excellent width of thigh. Nicely marked face compliments his expression and used his ears well. Best puppy in breed.

Junior (1,0)

1st Mrs M & Mr D Dewcroft Joubello Heaven Sent – 17-month black spotted male, on the lighter side of decoration but he has good pigment throughout. Really well conditioned with his muscle for his age and shows a tidy outline on the move. Attentive to his handler, he has a keen expression and clean around the mouth. Well presented and schooled, just needs to mature on as he is in his teenage phase.

Post Graduate (4,1)

1st Miss Z Willison Cotterspot Cotterdale Lady – 4-year-old liver bitch with rich colouring, really liked her for pigment and she has a very feminine expression with good head proportions. On the smaller size overall but enough of her to give her balance. She moved freely around the ring and was very attentive to her handler throughout. Presented in good muscular condition.

2nd Mrs A Foxall Cotterspot Swaledale Duke – black spotted littermate of 1st place, masculine head and a nice size overall. Moved well around the ring, not the rhythm of 1st place and slightly out of coat. Very happy disposition and his overall decoration is pleasing.

Limit (2,0)

1st Mr A & Mrs M Cuthbertson Kalsidoni Blue Gemstone JW – Approaching 3 years old black male with a pleasing outline, ideal height and substance standing on good feet with correct pasterns. Very attentive to his handler and his coat and muscle were in excellent condition. Moved the most economically and with even strides. In the challenge, his balanced angulation and his easy pace earned him the Best of Breed.

2nd Mrs P & Mr C Goodswen Alphadal’s Royal Rainbow – 2-year-old liver bitch, judged this one recently and today she was a little distracted and couldn’t get into her stride with the small ring. None the less she is overall very balanced and tracks up on the move, I like her rich liver colouring and she holds her topline well at all times.

Open dog (3,1)

1st Miss C Newton What You See Is What You Get Passionate About You For Chizzmic JW (IMP BEL) – Powerful outline on this 2-year-old male, another one struggling with the ring size and this hindered his movement. Scores well for his angulation, and holds his topline well. Dense pigmentation throughout, excellent muscle tone and compact feet. Tailset straight off the back gives a pleasing outline on the go around.

2nd Mrs R Leak Tamilanda Continental Icon – 5-year-old mature male, smaller in stature than 1st but very balanced for his build. Kind expression and a lovely marked head, he was playing up a little on the out and back but showed promise when settled.

Open bitch (2,0)

1st Miss C Newton Cotterspot Nidderdale Lady Of Chizzmic – 4 year old heavy marked black spotted, could carry more weight for her advantage, moved out in all directions steadily showing good ground coverage and tracking up well. Her size and angulation is balanced overall and displayed a very outgoing temperament.

2nd Mrs P Ward Frankish Tete A Tete – another 4-year-old black spotted bitch, scores well for her decoration and has a soft expression using her ears well they are set on well and frames her face. Would like to see more enthusiasm on the move as didn’t cover the ground as well as 1st place.
