Weston Super Mare Canine Society Open Show Sunday 9th November 2025

Many thanks to the Society for the judging invitation for their first show in quite a few years, W-S-M shows have always had special times for me, and this was no exception. This show was so friendly, and the society committee were all active throughout the day, nothing was too small or big for them in pleasing the exhibitors, judges and public.

1st Smith Mrs J E & Miss J Snowshoes Sweet Symphony, 11 month Bitch, very feminine yet with substance, well-made throughout, in great condition, enjoying her day and testing her handler but moved very well when she settled into her pace, reach and drive. BPIP

1st Smith Mrs J E & Miss J Snowshoes Light The Way, 15 month bitch, this young lady was well made throughout, covering the ground with ease, has power and drive and a great side profile on the move. BOB

1st Robinson Mrs A Legend of Thor at Robinsteck, 15 month dog, maturing nicely, not overdone, good head, with brown eyes, arched neck, good shoulders, square body shape, well-muscled, best mover in this class today RBOB

2nd Richards Mrs J A Galicar Incommunicado with Astralune, 2 yrs old bitch, lovely young lady to go over, just not as square body shape as 1, moved well.

1st Robinson Mrs A Robinsteck A Star is Born, 6 yr old bitch, great head not over done in anyway, well made and square body, well-muscled, moved well, great side profile on the move, covering the ground, BOB

2nd Ricards Mrs J A Markinshell Pombear at Dajoxx, 7 yrs old male, well made from head to tail, just not as sure footed as 1, this could be due to the floor covering.

2nd Bowdler Mr M R & Mrs F B Rosesese Beam Me Up for Inventeign, 6.5 months old dog, still very much a baby in head, well made body and good muscles for his age, what a fun packed day he had in the ring as he was interested in everything around and made his handler work hard. BPIP

1st Webb & Mullins Mrs L & Mrs J Multi Ch Protocol’s the Midas Touch (IMP USA), nearly 3yrs old male, great head with dept of muzzle, almond eyes, long neck onto well laid shoulders, dept of chest, well-muscled all over, best mover with great profile. BOB

2nd Bowdler Mr M R & Mrs F B Lateagain Zenyatta for Inventeigh, 6yr old bitch, not quite the finished polish of one but well made, with good rear muscle, just not the movement of one.

2nd Hopgood Mr D N & Mrs P UKR/MOD CH Grizzly Vom Chernity Kumir Saintlythans (IMP DEU), 7yrs old dog, well made, longer body than 1, moved ok and enjoying his day.

1st Taylor & Taylor-Morris Mrs P & Mrs H Winter Melody I’ll Just Sit and Look Cute at Pelenrise (IMP POL), 8 month old bitch, such a show girl, everything about her oozes quality, from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail, head of medium proportions, just like her body, well laid shoulder, great body condition and rear angulation which showed in movement, this young lady was will muscled but not muscle bound which reflected in fantastic movement that’s effortless, BOB & BPIB

2nd Rees Mr E Winter Melody I’m Too Busy Being Pretty at Amical TAF, 8 months old bitch, slightly darker coat than one but another quality bitch, well made as one, just preferred the movement of one today but sure these two young ladies will swop places over their show career, will watch both in the future.
