GUNDOG GROUP.

Having judged a number of groups at both Open and Championship shows and I must say this was an outstanding lineup. Each exhibit was presented to a high standard and was a real credit to its breed. My decisions were not easy today, and I congratulate all exhibitors on the quality before me.

1ST JAMES, MRS K A, SH CH INOSTRICANI FIANNA. (ITALIAN SPINONE)

My winner today, the Italian Spinone, really caught my eye in the Gundog Group and went on to take Best in Show. She’s a lovely example of the breed — full of quality and beautifully balanced. I was especially pleased to see her again as I gave her her first CC, and she’s matured into a really outstanding bitch.

2ND 0’NEIL, MRS C J. TENSHILLING SHBOOM JW.(POINTER).

Following closely behind, the Pointer took second place — a young dog of lovely type and quality. Still developing, but already showing excellent construction, balance, and movement.

3RD BRADLEY, MS E M. SH CH HIGHFORCE ALL OR NOTHING JW ShCExOSW . (HUNGARIAN VIZSLA).

In third place, the Hungarian Vizsla — a dog I have judged before and previously awarded high honours to. My opinion of him remains unchanged. He was in very good company today.

4TH MASKELL, RAYNER & MASKELL, MRS S MRS C & MISS G, BROWNBANK WILLOW WITH RAYSTANS JW. (WEIMARANER) B.

Fourth place went to the Weimaraner — a well-constructed bitch of good type and balance, presented in good condition. She was not quite at one with her handler today, but still showed quality.
