I would like to thank you committee of Penrith & District Society for their kind invitation to judge at this well run show. My two able stewards for keeping it all running nicely and to the exhibitors for your entry and the opportunity to judge your dogs. This was a new venue, with large rings which enabled the dogs to move out. It was just freezing to start off with and I am sure some dogs suffered from this, but it did warm up as the day went on and I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

1st Brown VE & EF Montalba Miss Aching

Pretty liver & white bitch of 2 years. Feminine head with lovely dark eye giving a soft and gentle expression. She has a balanced outline, good length of neck which flows into her strong topline. Her forequarters are well angled, straight in front with good bone and feet. She has ample forchest, and good depth of chest. Rear quarters are strong and muscular, her movement was parallel both going and coming and she had good reach and drive in profile. BOB

1st Greig Mrs K & Peter Greig Stalkingmate Bucatini

3 years male of correct proportions, masculine head, good length of neck, his topline has a tendency to roach at times but this could be down to the cold today. He has good depth and ample forchest.. He has good length of leg with tight feet, and is well boned. He moved out well in profile but was just a little close at the back.

2nd Murray & Parker Miss C & Mr W Szelkiraly’s Foolproof

This young male is just out of puppy, he has a head that is developing nicely, with good reach of neck. He’s is a touch longer cast than 1, he has good angles front and rear, but needs to fill his frame with I am sure he will. Moved out well.

1st Murray & Parker Miss C & Mr W True Magic of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly JW

My notes say ‘wow’, He impressed me from the first look. Super head, with eye colour nicely toning with coat colour. Good length of neck which is strong and muscular, flowing into his firm straight topline. Shoulders well laid, front is straight with good bone. He has ample forchest; his body is deep and strong with muscular loins. Rear quarters are well muscled, which propelled him around the ring with good reach and drive showing his graceful and elegant movement. Shown in excellent hard condition, so pleased to award him BOB and G1 and then to watch him show himself off to BIS. Congratulations.

Mature bitch with pretty feminine head, she is balanced in outline, has decent depth, shoulders a little upright, neck of good length into straight topline, well muscled rear quarters, she moved well in profile.

1st Nokes Mrs Sandy Goldpaw Five to Midnight

3 year bitch and a shade smaller than her kennel mate all through. Her head is feminine with good eye colour, she has good height to length ratio and she has a decent depth of chest. She lacks angulation at the rear but moved well and this won her BOB over her kennel mate.

1st Radcliffe Mrs Jackie Sniperay Secret Affair

6 month B/W bitch who is every bit the baby that she should be at this age. Pretty head, which is balanced, stop well defined good length of muzzle which is slightly concave. Eyes are dark giving a soft and kind expression. Good length of neck, forchest developing nicely, good depth, well boned with good feet, well muscled for age, moved well once settled.

Lovely O/W bitch of 20 months. She has an appealing shape when stacked, giving the impression of a series of graceful curves. Her head is balanced and feminine, super length of neck flowing into her level topline, has ample depth with muscular rear quarters and good bend of stifle, good bone and feet, she moved out well.BOB & G4

2nd Radcliffe Mrs Jackie Sniperay Suite Note

19 month B/W bitch not the body of 1, but has a pretty feminine head, with good length of neck, topline is level , she just needs to drop a little more in chest, her rear quarters are well muscled, she was a little unsettled on the move today.

Striking black male of 19 months, head is balanced and masculine, neck is of good length, could be cleaner in throat, body has good substance and is well ribbed, correct height to length ratio, he has correct angulation front and rear with good width of thigh and bend of stifle. He moved out true in all directions. BOB & G3

2nd Bayliss Mr & Mrs D&A Wilanorah Sat’day Nite Diva

Cracking B/R puppy of 8 months with attitude in abundance! Pretty head that is still developing, lovely depth of body for age, ample for chest. Good angulations front and rear, moved with such typical cocker character, she strode out like a pro, head up and tail wagging, she’s one to watch, pleased to award her BP and PG1

Another good male from this kennel, head is well proportioned, eyes dark giving a soft expression, neck strong and of good length, he is balanced in outline, and moved out with driving action, again, I just preferred the hind quarters of 1.

Pretty 8 month L/W bitch, head is balanced with good length of foreface, and chisling below the eye, muzzle has good depth and width. Her slightly arched neck is of good length leading into her level topline. She has good width in front and is well boned. Her chest is deep and ribs well sprung. Rear quarters well muscled with good width of thigh and moderately bent stifle, she moved out with reach and drive and was parallel coming and going. BP and PG2

What a sweetie and everything is in the right place for this just 6 month bitch at her first show which she took in her stride. Her head is developing well for her age with her long lean muzzle she has good chiselling and dark eye giving the gentle expression. She is so well constructed for her age, and she moved steadily in all directions..

Smart feminine bitch, who’s head is balanced with eye colour toning with coat. Good length of neck, topline level, with slightly sloping croup, good depth of chest and spring of rib, rear quarters muscular with good bend of stifle, I found her just a little upright in front, moved out well.

Super male well bodied, with masculine head, broad in skull with good depth of muzzle and large spongy nose. Straight in front with lovely forchest, ample depth of chest, balanced body being almost square, well muscled rear quarters comes into his own on the move with his fluid profile movement, I would just have liked to see some width at the back as he does away, shown in super hard condition. No mistaking him for BAVNSC and G2

Super bitch makes a good shape standing , has pretty feminine head, good length of neck into level topline, well off for body, which is deep with well sprung ribs well angled both ends and has good muscle. Moved out well.
