Eastbourne & DCS Premier Open Show 

22nd June 2025

AV Terrier Veteran (6,2) 

1.Nash’s Ralph of House Of Nash at Raphiggy Shcex VW 10yr old Norfolk looking super for his age. Small and compact with good bone and substance, firm topline and well muscled rear. Broad head with well balanced length of muzzle, defined stop, dark eyes and keen expression. Very smart on the move, accurate and with good drive. Presented in super coat and condition.  

2.Greenwood’s Carisco Return To Amber To Petmon. 7 year Scottish Terrier again in super condition. Long head with slight stop, dark eyes and neat high set ears. Small and thick set with good bone, level topline and powerful rear. Moved freely. 

3.Gallop’s Bel/Lux Ch. Lynnsto Evelyn All. 


AVNSC Terrier 

Puppy (2,1) 

1.Hobbs’ Fetedesmeres Pennsylvania. 8month PRT who needs a little more ring training to get the best out of him. Balanced in outline with strong neck, level back, strong loin and well muscled rear. Wedge shaped head with dark eyes and keen expression. Moved happily. 

Junior (3, 2) 

1.Pawson Mantle, Mantle & Inman Lee’s Afterglow’s Golden Ticket (Imp USA) 15month Sealyham with pleasing balance to his outline, good neck and topline, good substance and well angulated rear. Strong, masculine head with good bite, strong jaw and good pigment. Moved soundly with good drive. 

Post Grad (7,3) 

1.Gallop’s Lynnsto Elektra. 4yr WHWT presented beautifully. Small and compact with level topline, good chest and ribbing, strong loin and sound rear. Feminine head with dark eyes and intelligent expression, strong jaw and good pigment. In super coat and condition, Moving with an easy action, accurate in all directions, a little unsettled at first but as she relaxed she looked better and better. Best AVNSC Terrier. 

2.Lucking & Thompson’s Evannastar Cosmic Society. Strongly built Bull Terrier with pleasing outline, broad chest, well rounded body, quality bone and strong rear. Handsome head with dark eyes, erect ears and keen expression. Covers the ground well with an easy action, handled well. Reserve Best AVNSC Terrier.

Junior (1) 

1. Nind’s Devleigh True Blue. Big enough but all in proportion with correct balance of length to height, deep chest, flat ribbing and moderate rear angulation. Masculine head with small bright eyes, low set ears and gentle expression. Moved well with a , springy action. Correct linty coat presented well. BOB, Group 4. 

Dandie Dinmont Terrier 

Post Grad (1) 

1.Kenyon’s Puddockswell Cox’s Pippin (IKC) Very happy 17 month bitch with strong neck, good topline, well sprung ribs and well angulated rear. Head of good proportions with large round eyes, good mouth, strong muzzle and low set ears. Moved with an easy action, accurate out and back. Presented in good coat. BOB. 

Open (1) 

1.Kenyon’s Ceilmear Close Encounter. Another with a lovely personality. Strong head with round eyes that could be a little darker, strong jaw and teeth. Strong neck, good depth of chest, long body with rounded ribs and well muscled rear. Moved happily. RBOB. 

Terrier Group 

1.Greenwood’s Petmon Royal Gift JW. (Scottish) Smart black bitch with great substance who really made the most of herself in this group. Long head of good proportions with neat ears, dark eyes and keen expression. Good chest and ribbing, short, strong body with good topline and well angulated rear. Moved very smartly and presented in first class condition. 

2.Martin’s Ch. Ragus Oh Boy. (Norwich) 4 year old dog of obvious quality but didn’t quite make as much of himsef as 1. Small and compact with lovely head and expression. Moved happily. 

3.Foster’s Loreleilee Me Bashful at Thozow. (Lakeland) Not quite 2 years old and very much on his toes! Smart outline with good reach of neck, short back and well set and carried tail. Good head properties and keen expression. Moved well. 

4.Nind’s Devleigh True Blue. (Bedlington)  

Terrier Puppy Group 

1.Hughes’ Arunmere Rhapsody In Red (Border) Beautiful baby and an obvious choice to top this puppy group. Lovely otter like head and keen expression with short, strong muzzle, dark eyes and neat ears. Balanced outline with moderate reach of neck, straight front, spans easily, sound rear and well set and carried tail. Moved soundly and accurately maintaining his outline. Delighted to hear he later took RBPIS. 

2.Nash’s Raphiggy Dilys She is A One (Norfolk) Cheeky 11month bitch of typical balance and good substance. Good head with strong jaw, dark eyes and well set ears. Moved well and presented in super coat. 

3.Haynes’ Alantro Solid Step (Norwich) Pleasing youngster of nice size and shape with good substance and bone. Good head and expression, moved happily. 

4.Hobbs’ Fetedesmeres Pennsylvania (PRT) 

Boston Terrier 

Puppy (5,1) 

1.Masters’ Aprika Graceland. Nearing a year old with such a wonderful attitude in the ring, totally attentive to her handler and always stood to an advantage. Beautiful head and expression with good width and depth to muzzle, dark eyes, defined stop and neat, well set ears. Compact, soundly made and well balanced in outline, obviously with maturing to do but has all the essentials to finish very well. Moves with an easy action, graceful and accurate holding her outline firm. In immaculate condition with lustrous, fine coat. Easy choice for BOB & BP, I look forward to seeing her as she matures. 

2.Gill & Hamlin’s Demorace Belle Starr. Another smart, showy baby but couldn’t quite match the head and eye of 1. Smart outline with good chest and ribbing for age, arched neck, strong loin and well muscled rear. Moved freely and was handled to an advantage. 

3.Cox’s Silver Lightening. 

Junior (1) 

1.Cox’s Durobrivae Bumble Bea. 15 month old who could be a little shorter in body but has balanced front and rear assembly, good bone and substance for size, correct topline and good chest and ribbing. Well balanced head with good width and depth of muzzle, alert expression and well set, neat ears. Moved very smartly. RBOB. 

Post Grad (3) 

1.Cox’s D. Bumble Bea 

2.Hounslow’s Ridgeway Rambler. 3yr male with lovely attitude. Smart action in profile but not as good out and back as 1. Compact with good substance, deep chest and well sprung ribs. Pleasing head qualities and alert expression. 

3.Sandells’ Shawmut Pontiac Chieftain. 

Open (5,1) 

1.Cox’s Sweet Star Pricess JW. Best here for size and substance, compact with good front and rear assembly. Lovely head and expression, Moved soundly. 

2.Sandells’ Shawmut Tucker Torpedo. 3yr male with square, masculine head, short muzzle and well set ears. Soundly made but not the chest and ribbing of 1 and could stand straighter in front. Moved well in profile. 

3.Cox’s Bostontime Silver Lady 

French Bulldog. Only 2 present but both beautiful examples of the breed. 

Post Grad (3,2) 

1.French’s Bincombefarm Morsmorde. 2yr brindle dog in fabulous condition. Gorgeous head and expression, dark eyes, lovely bat ears, broad muzzle with well cushioned lips and good width of jaw. Sturdy and compact with good topline, well sprung ribs and good bone. He moved soundly holding his outline firm. I didn’t imagine he could be beaten and then his kennel mate walked in!! RBOB. 

Open (2,1) 

1.French’s Bincombefarm Serpensortia. Wow, I did not expect to find such a fabulous bitch in such a small entry but I was wrong! I saw later that she already has her title and I’m not surprised, she is a class act and has the most fabulous temperament. Gorgeous head, strong but obviously feminine with beautiful eyes, good ears, defined stop and well cusioned lips. Small and compact with great substance and bone for size, good chest and ribbing, correct front and rear assembly and it was no surprised that she moved so well! Handled perfectly, in gleaming condition and such an eager showgirl. BOB. 

Miniature Schnauzer 

Junior (4,2) 

1.Parker, Saunders & Mcdonald’s Risepark First Stage. Very smart p/s just out of puppy and already looking fairly mature for his age. Very nicely balanced outline with lovely neck, shoulders and topline, well angulated rear and well set and carried tail. Lovely head of good length with parallel planes, dark eyes, well set ears and such an appealing expression. Super coat put down to perfection, moving smartly with outline held firm. RBOB 

2.Johnson & Wise’s Xebec Warlock with Daladeez (imp Deu) 11month dog black who couldn’t quite match the smart outline and style of 1 but still presents a typical squarish outline with good spring of rib, straight front, strong loin and sound rear. Nice head and expression. Moved with drive, needs to firm up in front. 

Post Grad (2) 

1.Mcdonald’s Risepark First Lady of Heibri JW. 17 month bitch, squarely built and sturdy with strong neck, firm topline, well sprung ribs and high set tail. Well proportioned head with dark oval eyes, strong jaw and neat ears. Moved well in profile, not as good in front as her kennel mates. Again, super presentation and attitude. 

2.Johnson’s Marnimica Seven Wonders. Sturdily built with good spring of rib, strong neck and well muscled throughout. Masculine head of good length with good planes and dark expressive eyes. Moved freely and presented in nice harsh coat. 

Open (2,1) 

1.Parker & Mcdonald’s Ch. Violis Stormy Skies JW. One I have liked previously and still appealed greatly. Smart and balanced in outline, sturdy and squarely built with good bone and substance. Long neck into good shoulders, good chest and ribbing, correct topline and well angulated rear. Lovely head of good proportions, parallel planes, dark eyes and neat, high set ears. Moves with super reach and drive, outline firm in profile and accurate out and back. In superb coat and condition, BOB. 

AV Open Stakes (50, 25) 

1.Thornton & Thornton-Margettts' Julemark Primrose at Maplelayne JW. Super beagle who I’ve judged before when she topped a Hound group, she still caught my eye and performed perfectly to top this super class. Lovely balance to her outline and she uses herself well on the move, covering the ground with an easy, accurate gait. Beautiful head and expression, presented in first class order and handled to an advantage.
