Trent Boxer Club Open Show

20th September 2025

Judge: Miss L Tarabad (Khatibi)

Special Award Classes

Thank you to the committee for giving me the opportunity to judge these classes at their friendly open show. I was delighted with such a nice entry both in numbers and quality and thank the exhibitors for getting to the show extra early for me to judge their dogs before the main show started!

Puppy (6)

1.Kavanagh’s Marbelton Mix’n Match. 9 month dog, fairly mature for his age with a well balanced outline, strong arched neck, good front assembly, deep chest, well ribbed back, good topline and well muscled rear. Lovely head and expression with dark eyes, muzzle of good proportions with evident chin, well padded lips and good nostrils. He was the best here for movement and carriage in profile, circling the ring with a free, powerful gait holding his outline firm, accurate out and back. A very promising puppy with a super temperament.

2.Carter’s Susancar Finn Ominal. 7month old, obviously a little raw at this stage but has all the essentials to finish well. Squarely built with good bone and feet, good topline and underline, well angulated rear and high set tail. Head needs some time but is nicely balanced with good muzzle and chin, lovely eyes and expression. Moved well in profile once settled, just needs time to firm up out and back.

3. Van-Beck's Newlaith Come On Y’all

Yearling (8,2)

1.Chell’s Jimbren Elite Legacy at Ludic. 14month dog in super condition. Square in outline with elegant neck into firm sloping topline, good chest and ribbing, short loin and well angulated rear. Clean head of good proportions, with nice eyes, good mouth and nostrils. Moved well holding his outline firm in profile, I’m sure would have looked even better in a bigger ring.

2.Mccarthy & Gething’s Boxania Don’t Blame Me at Jeddhi. 13month bitch, feminine but with good substance and bone, balanced in outline with good neck and topline, deep chest, short loin and well set tail. Well balanced head with appealing expression and nice dark eyes. Moved well in profile but wasn’t quite as good as 1 out and back. Not long out of puppy so has plenty of maturing to do, handled and presented to an advantage.

3.Murfin & Hart’s Farvalley Pure Delight

Open (4,1) All 3 in this class were super quality and could easily change places on a different day.

1.Woods’ Arkeney Conqueror. This 4 year old male had the edge here in profile movement, circling the ring with the best reach and drive I saw in the entry. Powerful and accurate, covering the ground well while holding his outline firm. Presents a typically balanced outline in profile with super neck and shoulders, sloping topline, well angulated rear, good chest and ribbing, good bone and in well muscled condition with glossy coat to complete the picture. Handsome head of pleasing proportions, clean skull with good rise, dark eyes, good mouth and wide nostrils. I awarded him Best Overall and was delighted to see him take BIS at the main show too. Well done.

2. Mccarthy & Gethin’s Lorrosa My Heads Been Turned to Jeddhi. 18month bitch who I thought had the best head and expression of the 3, correctly shaped and of good proportions with lovely eyes, broad, deep muzzle with well padded lips, good mouth and evident chin. Elegant neck into good shoulders, short back and well angulated rear, good bone and well muscled condition. Moved well, free with good drive but not quite as good in front as 1.

3. Van-Beck's Newlaith Respect JW.
