Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Society 5th July 2025 Thank you so much to the committee for their invitation to judge at this most welcoming show. It was unfortunate the weather wasn’t on our side today and the long grass had a significant impact on the movement of many of the exhibits. My thanks also goes to my helpful stewards and to the exhibitors for their entries. French Bulldog Class 254 Open (1/1) 1st & BOB. 432 Melling’s Brave Will of the Wisp. 20 month old bitch who I note is registered as fawn however her coat definitely looks silver. Stocky build, quite a good head shape with good eyes and ears. Good body proportions. Needs ringcraft as couldn’t assess her movement as she bounced around but she was having a lovely day. Japanese Shiba Inu Class 257 Open (3/2) 1st & BOB 436 Roskell’s Phixons Straumann. Nice boy, good foxy head with good eye shape and colour. Used his ears well. Nicely arched neck, correct amount of bone and good feet. Well ribbed and good length of loin. Nicely angulated rear which he used with a strong driving action to cover the tough ground. Pleased to award him Utility Group 2. 2nd 435 Hope-Cliffs & Hope-Ellershaw’s CH Shiomaru Escape to the Stars at Galvikki (IMP RUS). Another lovely boy with a good head however did not want to use his ears today. He has a good front construction with ample bone and substance. Good body proportions and width of thigh, not quite the angulation and drive of the first. Lhasa Apso Class 258 Junior (1/1) 1st & BOB 439 Roberts’ Marbledale Power of Love. Very outgoing and confident 15 month old dog. Nice coated black with a fabulous head and dark eyes. Used his ears well. Well balanced angulation, nice bone with good round feet. Nice ribbing, strong through his topline. Very bouncy in the long grass but a really happy boy. Toy Poodle Class 265 Postgraduate (2/1) 1st 443 Clark’s Lynchams Ivory Iris. Cream bitch who needs some more ringcraft to be able to perform her best. Sweet head with good length of muzzle, dark eyes. Good length of neck, moderate angulation and boning. Good depth of ribs and nicely tucked up underline. Erratic on the move. Class 266 Open (2/2) 1st & BOB 442 Bull-Harris’ Starianna Midnight Rider at Pendream. Strong, solid, black male of 3 years old. Nice expression, dark eyes and balanced skull. Nice depth of chest and well ribbed. Excellent topline, good angulation at the front and back. Moved with drive. Utility Group 4. 2nd 443 Clark’s Lynchams Ivory Iris (as above) Shih Tzu Class 269 Postgraduate (2/2) 1st & BOB 449 Vose’s Shihzarbruno Hope N Dreamz of Cimona. Really beautiful gold and white bitch. Lovely typy head with dark round eyes. Good neck into well laid shoulders. Plenty of bone down to great feet. Held level through her topline, good length of loin. Well muscled all through with excellent rounded thighs. Plenty of coat and plenty of personality too. 2nd 445 Cutts & Smith’s Senousi Dressed Like Him. Good for head and eye, very outgoing and happy personality. Fairly good bone and feet, level topline however completely lacking in muscle tone and therefore could not move through the long grass. Class 270 Open 1st 449 Vose’s Shihzarbruno Hope N Dreamz of Cimona (as above). 2nd 448 Provost’s Paliden Shootin Star. Another nice head on this boy, good eye shape and colour. Well off for bone with a good forechest, not quite as well ribbed as the first. Well angulated hind legs with good muscling. Moved as well as he could in the conditions. 3rd 446 Cutts & Smith’s Tameron Mr Gold Xcess. Tibetan Spaniel Class 271 Junior (1/1) 1st 453 Lynch’s Oldcharm This is Real Love. BPIB. What a little superstar this boy is at just six months old. Full of charm and personality, a real joy to handle. Domed skull with well defined stop, darkest of eyes and good muzzle. Nice length of neck, good shoulder placement. Well boned. Good chest and well sprung ribs. Level back, into correct tailset. Good angulation of his hinds which are already muscling up well. Moved with enthusiasm. Pleased to award him Puppy Group 1. Class 272 Postgraduate (2/2) 1st & BOB 451 Derizzio’s Saxtead Flash Harry. Handsome 2 year old male, with a typical head and dark eye. Not making the most of his ears today but a sweet expression. Good width of skull, good forehand, tight feet. Good topline into nicely angulated rear. Moved well. 2nd 452 Lynch’s Oldcharm Love Generation. Another handsome youngster who scores in head and eye. Charming character. Nice boned, good chest and well ribbed. Level topline and good angulation. Slightly wide on his rear movement. Class 273 Open (1/2) 1st 450 Derizzio’s Parloueve All That Jazz. 9 year old bitch who has absolutely no idea she’s a veteran. Really outgoing, happy girl. Pretty head with dark eye. Very finely made all through but carrying decent muscle. Very bouncy on the move and enjoying her day. Tibetan Terrier Class 274 Junior (2/2) 1st & BPIB 459 Thomas’ Kelmorespitz’s Love N’War. 7 month old sable bitch. Balanced construction, nice head with large, round, brown eyes. Good reach of neck into good lay of shoulder. Nice amount of bone. Good length to ribcage. Well angulated rear, clean hocks with muscle developing nicely. Moved cleanly. Utility Puppy Group 2. 2nd 455 Holgate’s Layoli Gold N’Dazzling at Pipaleen. Strongly built gold sable male. Masculine head, good eye shape and colour. Well off for bone, good front construction and decent feet. Well held topline into correct tailset. Just a touch wide on rear movement. Class 275 Postgraduate (2/2) 1st 456 Holgate’s Layoli Midnight Gold at Pipaleen. 3 year old gold and white bitch. Excellent head and eye. Good pigment. Nice length of neck into good lay of shoulder. Good angulation at the front and back. Good topline. Well muscled all through and very drivey on the move from strong hocks. 2nd 460 Thomas’ Kelmorespitz’s War of Roses. Very pretty 7 month old bitch, litter sibling to winner of junior with lots of the same qualities. Good head and eye. Nice neck and shoulder placement. Well boned and muscling up nicely for her age. Good bend of stifle and strength of hock. Moved well. Class 276 Open (1/1). 1st & BOB 457 Thomas’ Kelmorespitz Smokin Storm. Impressive 3 year old Black and Tan male. Excellent, strong head. Good pigmentation, eye colour and shape. Strong neck, good lay of shoulder. Well boned fores down to nice feet. Balanced height to body length. Good ribs, level topline, compact through the loin and correct tailset. Excellent rear angulation and muscling. Moved with drive. Utility Group 3. A.V. Utility Class 284 Veteran (2/2) 1st 433 Ellershaw’s Shiomaru Benisa among Galshan (IMP RUS) JW. 8 year old red Shiba Inu bitch who is well proportioned with a typy head. Good eye shape, uses her ears well. Good neck and forehand construction. Well boned, good ribbing and topline. Excellent width of thigh and strong, clean hocks. Drives well around the ring. 2nd 438 Roskell’s Ch Raima Queen of Shiba with Afterglow. Smaller and finer made bitch with a pretty head, dark eye and good ears. Nice arch of neck, balanced in outline. Elbows could sit tighter into the body. Level back and good tuck up. Not quite the width of thigh of the first. Moved well. Class 285 Special Beginners (3/5) 1st 420 Melling’s Jemblewood Candy Floss. Elegant, liver Dalmatian. Lovely, balanced head with eyes the correct shade of amber. Excellent reach of neck into clean withers. Nice boned fores and good feet. Strong through the topline and well muscled loin. Good bend of stifle and strong hocks. Covered the ground well on the move. 2nd 455 Holgate’s Layoli Gold N’Dazzling at Pipaleen (see above). 3rd 419 Leak’s Tamilanda Continental Icon. Utility Group 1st 422 Newton & Newton-O’Brien’s Cotterspot Nidderdale Lady of Chizzmic. Beautiful black spotted bitch, with strikingly dark pigment. Darkest of eyes, ears used well to frame her face. Excellent reach of neck and lay of shoulder. Nicely boned fores. Good width and depth of chest, strong through the top line and well angular rear. Moved well in the long grass.
