My thanks to the committee of Wickford and Basildon for the very warm welcome at their lovely show. This ground is absolutely perfect for a dog show. Thank you to my stewards in the breed and stakes class for their help and to all the exhibitors for their entries. I had a lovely day in the sunshine.

Class 213 Puppy (0/1)
Class 214 Junior (1/2)
1st 455 Lancaster’s Winter Melody Hot to Trot at Bortreece (IMP POL).
Just turned a year old, very pretty grey and white girl. Foxy head with dark eye of the correct almond shape. Good balance of head to muzzle length. Good length of neck which is well arched into nicely constructed forehand. Well off for bone, straight fores, good pasterns and oval feet. Good depth of chest and well ribbed and level topline. Well angulated rear with a good width of thigh and strong hocks. Nicely muscled thighs. Moved well would just like her to drop her head when trotting to allow for more forward action. Presented in lovely condition. RBOB.

Class 216 Open (1/1)
1st 456 Snelson’s Azgard Monticristo at Ashtrax.
Strikingly marked male in his prime at 5 years old. Lovely balanced, masculine head, nice shape and colour of eyes. Good size of ears which he uses to advantage. Strong jaw. Good arch to neck into well laid shoulders. Nicely boned fores, strong pasterns and excellent oval feet. Good depth to his chest, ribs carried well back into strong loin. Level topline into correct tailset. Great width of well muscled thighs, good bend of stifle and strong hocks. Excelled on the move, dropped his head and extended his neck to give himself great reach with a powerful drive from behind. Moved cleanly from all directions. BOB.
Rottweiler
Class 209 Puppy (2/2)
1st 444 Austen’s Ausrie’s Beautiful Crazy.
Fantastic youngster who is quite the showgirl already, well schooled but still lots of personality on show. Excellent head, lovely eye shape and dark colour. Ears of correct size and carriage. Strong jaw and well pigmented, good length of muzzle. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Plenty of bone, good feet. Capacious chest with ribs carried well back. Holds her topline well with a good tailset. Good width of thigh and turn of stifle, strong through her hocks and well muscled already. Moved with good range of motion, has a bit of puppy roll which is what you want at this age. BPIB.
2nd 448 Gauron’s Javladare Heart Goes Boom.
A really sweet boy who was slightly distracted today by searching for any mislaid food that may be available. Strong head, dark eyes and good pigment. Good length of neck, well boned fores and good feet. Nice depth and width of chest, good ribbing and strong loin. Good tailset and carriage. Muscling up nicely for his age. A little erratic on the move, just needs time to settle and focus.
Class 210 Junior (2/2)
1st 450 Kitchenside’s Deltarott Din Djarin.
Absolutely love this boy, he’s so full of character. I judged him a couple of months ago where he won a stakes class and I feel he has improved even more since then. Love his head and his dark eyes. Great width of skull, excellent muzzle length and strength of jaw. Muscular neck which leads into well constructed forehand. Well off for bone, excellent pasterns and feet. Forechest and depth of chest is spot on, well ribbed, strong through his topline and loin. His width of thigh is impressive and he is so well muscled. Hocks are clean and powerful. Moves with a great freedom with excellent reach and drive. Really happy to hear that this was his final point needed for the JW, Congratulations. Pleased to award him BOB today and then to see him win the Group and perform so well in the big ring at the end of the day.
2nd 449 Hewitt & Francis’ Princess Isla.
Large bitch with plenty of bone and substance. Strong skull but not overdone, good eye colour and shape. Good reach of neck, slightly upright in shoulder and without the forechest of the first placed dog. Good ribbing, level through her topline and good length of loin. Moderately angulated at the back but she did produce a great driving action when moving around the ring.
Class 211 Limit (5/5 (1 W/D))
1st 445 Austen’s Ausrie’s Jabba The Hut.
Really imposing male with a real ring presence in his demeanour that makes you pay attention. Excellent head and dark eye, clean skull and strong muzzle, well pigmented all through. Well muscled neck into good lay of shoulder. Well off for bone, straight fores and tight feet. Chest is deep and capacious with good amount of forechest. Nice level topline, strong and muscular through the loin which is of a good length. Muscular thighs with good width, strong hocks which he used well when moving soundly and with good drive. RBOB.
2nd 451 Kitchenside’s Mamba is Rojaus Slenio.
Nicely proportioned girl with a strong head and dark eyes. Good width of skull and muzzle. Good neck and shoulder placement with excellent bone. Great width and depth to chest with well sprung ribs. Strong through her topline both whilst standing and on the move. Good tailset and carriage. Well angulated hind legs with good turn of stifle. A lot of drive on the move, powering herself forward well. Would prefer her to be carrying a bit less weight.
3rd 452 Pamplin’s Jaqary Kiss From A Rose.

Really pretty 4 year old bitch who still looks as fresh as a pup. Lovely head and expression, clean through her skull and cheeks. Good balance of skull to muzzle, excellent dark eyes and good pigmentation. Nice reach of neck into good lay of shoulder. Good bone, in balance with her size, great feet. Deep chest and well sprung ribs. Good topline and length of loin. Well muscled rear with a decent bend of stifle. Moved soundly with good reach and driving action from the rear.
Class 311 AV Good Citizen Dog Scheme
A fabulous class full of beautiful dogs.
1st 13 Norman’s Silvae State Secret.
Super Wire-haired Dachshund. On the table he made a lovely outline and has the most endearing expression from his brown eyes. Beautiful head with clean lines, nicely balanced skull and muzzle with defined ridges over his eyes. Good high set ears which he used well to frame his face. Good length of neck into down to long, sloped shoulders and excellent front angulation. Good bone, strong through his legs into tight feet. Prominent forechest, ribs carried well back into a strong loin. He has a great topline and underline. Well muscled hinds with good angulation and sturdy hocks. As much as I liked him on the table, when he hit the ground he was absolutely stunning. Carried himself so proudly with a long, ground covering stride. He has a real “look at me” quality which, combined with his complete soundness, won him the class.
2nd 129 Wallington’s Sh Ch/Int/Multi Ch Nicael Blue Diamond Among Ohanava VW.
Hungarian Vizla of 8 years old, my notes say “simply beautiful”. She is clean in outline, ideal for size and overall substance. The prettiest, feminine head which is balanced with a good length and breadth to her skull. Strong jaw with well fitting lips and good pigmentation. Her eyes are sparkling and of the correct shape and colour. Smoothly arching neck which is well muscled and flows into well laid shoulders. Nicely boned, close fitting elbows and strong pasterns. Good rounded feet, not showing any signs of aging in the bones. Plenty of heart room in her capacious chest with well sprung ribs. Compact through her topline and loin, is good hard condition all through. Well developed second thigh and well let down hocks. Elegant in her movement, covered the ground well and totally sound.
