Kent County Canine Association

Breed: Utility Group & Junior Stakes
Kent County Canine Association 23rd February 2025 A huge thank you to the KCCA committee for offering me the opportunity to judge my first Utility Group. I had some fantastic dogs to go over and I felt thrilled when I looked around at the fabulous Best of Breeds in the Group line up. Thank you to my wonderful steward who kept things flowing nicely, not an easy task at a hectic open show with so many classes to get through. Thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and their good spirits. Lauran Wheaton (Acinonyx) Utility AVNSC Class 94 Puppy 1st 346 Ferry’s Silberstras Elischeba Tula for Ferrybelle (IMP NOR). Stunning young Japanese Spitz. Lovely outline, very typy head with excellent pigmentation and dark eye. Excellent bone and tight feet. Strong through the topline into the correct tailset and carriage. Very good back end, hocks are strong and straight. Impressed on the move, covering the ground so well with good reach and drive. BPAVNSC. Puppy Group 3. 2nd 354 Johnson’s Waynart’s Into the Unknown for Rapionce. Gorgeous head on this Miniature Poodle puppy. Really bright, intelligent expression, beautiful balance of skull to muzzle. Nice length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good ribbing, excellent topline and tail. This pretty German Spitz stood alone in the class but was very worthy of her first place. Elegant, feminine head, darkest of eyes. High set ears which she uses well. Nicely boned for her size with tight feet. Good spring of rib, held her topline well both standing and on the move. Good rear angulation and strong hocks. Moved well with plenty of reach in front. Good, dark eye and pigmentation, I liked his length of muzzle. Good feathering over his head and ears. Excellent bone, good feet.
