Bearded Collies
Junior Dog/Bitch (4,0)
1st: Robertson’s Quothquan Aylyth. Nice bitch with typical expression. Flat skull with correct proportions. Moderate stop. Eyes wide set and of correct shape and size. Ears of medium size. Neck moderate in length. Ok angles fore and aft. Firm level topline. Body good for proportions. Good tail set and carriage. Smooth, easy gait. Correct coat.
2nd: Bowden’s Subessen The Wonder You. Masculine young dog who has strength to his head which is also well proportioned. Typical expression. Moderate length to neck and balanced angles fore and aft. Just needs to develop on in chest a little more. Well proportioned. Topline level. Tail set ok and carried well on the move. Smooth gait, but not quite as collected as 1st on the day. Coat coming on nicely.
3rd: Carter’s Matley’s Dreamchaser Final Fling with Karmeliann (Imp Can)
Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (5,0)
1st: Bowden’s Subessen The Wonder You. BOS
2nd: Salter’s Whole Lotta Love From Noonie Bears By Irisaddition. JW (Imp Bel) Felt this one looked very immature and was very out of coat on the day. Head is quite well proportioned with typical expression. Moderate length of neck and nicely angulated fore and aft. Chest reaches to elbows and decent width to chest. Felt him to be just a fraction long and his back was a little dippy. I would prefer a more upward swirl to his tail. Sound mover.
3rd: Dumbrell’s Cheryshd The Way You Are By Bethlyntee
Open Dog/Bitch ( 4,2)
1st: Salter’s Irisaddition Effie Trinket JW VW. I very much liked the make and shape of this bitch. Lovely outline and proportions. Feminine head but with enough strength. Flat skull and well-proportioned for length and width. Correct muzzle and moderate stop. Kind affectionate expression with lovely shape and set to eyes. Moderate length of neck. Well angulated fore and aft. Deep chest. Ribs carried well back. Level topline. Just enough length for me. Tail is well set and she carries it well on the move. Good coat texture. Excellent mover in profile. BOB.
2nd: Salter’s Irisaddition Love Actually JW. A nice bitch with very pretty head and expression. Not quite as well angulated as the winner. I would prefer a slightly longer neck to complete the outline. Moderate angles fore and aft. Chest reaches to elbows and she is well ribbed. Little squarer in outline than 1st. Firm muscular loins. Good tail set and carriage. Another excellent mover. Feels she just needs some more maturity.
Border Collies

Open Bitch Dog/Bitch (3,0)
1st: Lees’ Jaybob Child’s Play. I felt this was a very nice standard fitting bitch. Super head with good width and nice wedge. Wide set eyes and correctly set ears. Excellent expression. Lovely length to neck with slight arch. Excellent shoulders and great return of upper arm. Deep chest which reaches to elbows and has good width. Firm level topline with strong, firm loins. Good turn of stifles and low set hocks. Low set tail, which she carries well on the move. Excellent mover. Very well presented to win BOB.
2nd: Lewis’s Shemelia Moonlight Skye. I liked this bitch for her head and expression. Eyes are nice for set, shape and colour. Well angulated all through. Deep chest and well ribbed. Nice for bone. Level topline. Well proportioned. Tail is set ok. Sound mover. Little heavy in body for my preference.

Good angulation fore and aft. Quite well proportioned and balanced. Had a tendency to pace. Lots of practice required, but gave a good account of herself at a first show. BP
Graduate Dog/Bitch (4,3)
1st: Leggett’s Mellowdale Sapphire Moon Avec Meldale JW . One I have judged on various occasions and liked before. She has a nice head for make and shape and it is in proportion with her body. Strong muzzle. She is very well balanced in angulation. Nice overall outline. Good bone. Deep chest. Compact in body. Moves in the typical fashion of the breed, though a tad uncoordinated at times today. Good colour and coat texture. BOB

Puppy Dog/Bitch (6,4)
1st: Caudy’s Ellonia Perfect Storm at Snodragon (Ai). Siberian. I judged this super bitch at 3C’s earlier in the year, and I cannot add to my critique from there except to say that I thought she looked even better! Though out of coat here, she looked shapely, so standard fitting and moved an absolute dream. One that really shows the potential to go all the way to the top. Super girl.
2nd: Hickling’s & Hemmings’ Evalesco’s Shade of Class. Dobermann. A big boy. I felt his head could have been slightly longer, but he had a nice expression and good head planes. Medium length of neck. Moderate angulation at the front with good bone. Pasterns quite straight. Chest just reaches to elbows. Topline has slight slope and back is short. Moderate turn of stifle. Tail set could be slightly improved. Sound mover.
AV Working Graduate Dog/Bitch (8,6)
1st: Groves’ Newgraden Hope & Glory For Bridgestone. Newfoundland. My ‘find’ of the day. Absolutely stunning brown bitch. Super feminine head, but broad enough. Good occiput. Muzzle of correct proportions and broad with depth and length almost equal. Almond shaped eyes set well apart and excellent colour for a brown. Ears ok for size with slightly rounded tips. Super neck leading to excellent shoulders. Great return of upper arm. Super bone and excellent feet. Correct body proportions. Deep chest with enough width. Excellent topline. Deep flanks. Well angulated stifles and firm low set hocks. Perfect tail set and carriage. Outstanding mover. I could have watched her all day. What a cracker! Loved her. Very exciting girl.

Very nicely put together with good angulation fore and aft. Super topline with slight arch over the loins. Good tail set. Ok bone. Well proportioned. Lightfooted mover.
AV Working Post Graduate Dog/Bitch (1,0)
1st: Caudy’s Arctictreks Goldilocks at Snodragon. Siberian. Another I have judged and liked before. Such a very standard fitting bitch and we haven’t seen the best of her yet! Her head is refined and could fill slightly more. Her eyes are a nice almond shape. Still needs to mature into her ears a little, but they are very high set. Beautiful body shape with good angulation all through. Excellent topline. Super condition. Moves with a smooth, lightfooted action.
AV Working Open Dog/Bitch (2,1)
1st Caudy’s Penkhala’s Amka. Siberian. A pretty bitch. Skull just a tad too broad and stop a little steep for me. Her ears are rather large. She is well chiselled and has nice eye shape and set. She looks in super fit condition. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Deep chest and ribs well sprung. Strong loins. Excellent proportions. Super tail set and carriage. Low set hocks. Doesn’t quite cover the ground as much or as smoothly as I prefer. Very well handled.
