A fantastic show. Very well organised and a pleasure to officiate at. Thank you for the invitation! It was a long hot day and all the dogs coped superbly well. Thank you to my hard working stewards and to the exhibitors for their sportsmanship. A very enjoyable appointment indeed.
Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)
Puppy (2,0)
1st: Down’s Elessar Eclipse The Stars. Super bitch with a lovely head. Already a lovely balance to head with expressive eyes and well set ears with typical set and slightly rounded tips. Really nice neck. Well angulated fore and aft and very nice body proportions. Good tail set and fox brush. Super on the move. Really very promising indeed. BP & RBOB
2nd: Lovell’s Liebehund River Song. Really pretty 6 month old. Rightly very immature and loose. Has a lovely shape and head is developing well. Lovely length to neck and well balanced in angulation. Moved quite erratically on the day, but what I did see was very sound.
Limit (1,0)
1st: Stevens’ Coriend Blue Nimbus. A bit on the heavy side all through for me. Eyes are ok for shape and show a nice expression. Ears ok for set and have slightly rounded tips. Skull is just a little heavy. Firm in body and moderate in angulation. Sound in profile. Little cow hocked. Tail set a tad high. Well presented.
Open (2,0)
1st: Lovell’s Ch Liebehund Jakku JW. One I have judged before and a firm favourite of mine in this breed. So much class. Super quality all through. She has a stunning outline. Beautiful head and feminine, watchful expression. Well set ears with sightly rounded tips. Correct balance of muzzle to skull. Lovely flowing neck and excellent angulation. Topline perfect. Lovely tail set and carriage. In super condition. I could watch her all day on the move – so effortless and free. Love her. BOB.
2nd: Fitzpatrick-Graham’s Ch Ancksunamun Hallows Eve JW. Different type to 1st. Very masculine in skull - quite heavy. Eyes are ok for shape and set. Ears set correctly with slightly rounded tips. Preferred the expression of 1st. More moderate in angles than the winner and could not quite match her on the move. Tail maybe held a little high. Good substance and condition. Moves out soundly.

Special Yearling.(1,0)
1st Blaney’s Nipnattens Strong Avaalaqiakulooq Fenrirkin (Imp Nor). Greenland Dog. A very nice 13 month old who is obviously still very much maturing and yet to reach his full potential – rightly slow for this breed! His head is broad and is wedged shaped. Skull looks strong and is reasonably flat. Slightly oblique set eyes. Ears are in proportion for size. Pigment could be slightly better. Muscular neck. I feel he could have slightly more angulated shoulders and return of upper arm, but he shows overall balance as he is not over angulated in stifles. Medium bone. Chest is deep enough. Perhaps a tad square in outline. Tail set high. Out of coat. Powerful mover.

Two fab dogs here.
1st: Byrne’s Aavuuta Qimmiq Akiak ShCEx (Imp Can) Bel/Ir JCh. Canadian Eskimo. How this dog has matured since I last judged him! Broad wedge-shaped head which is in proportion to his size. Fabulous expression. Muzzle tapers enough. Oblique set eyes which are dark in colour. Short, thick triangular ears which have slightly rounded tips and are very well furred! Neck is muscular and not overly long. Well laid shoulders with great return of upper arm. Super bone for size without being cumbersome. Deep chest that reaches to elbows. Strong level back. Slight tuck up. Very muscular loins. He could benefit from very slightly more turn of stifles. Hocks are low enough, straight and firm. Large bushy tail set correctly for the breed. Fantastic condition. He moved with consummate ease with a brisk, powerful trot. Really showed himself off today and looked an absolute picture. Best AVNSC Working
2nd: Blaney’s Bel/Esp/Ir/Int Ch Fenrirkin Can’t Be Late ShCEx Sui Jch. Greenland Dog. One of my favourites who I have been fortunate to judge on a number of occasions. She was in a state of undress today, which was a shame, but it does only serve to show off her many qualities. Feminine with strength, presence and personality! Wedge shaped head with flattish, broad skull. Muzzle medium in length. Oblique set eyes. Correct shape to ears which are in proportion and well set. Muscular neck. Well laid shoulders. Upper arm could angle back slightly more. Good bone. Chest is deep and carried well back. Firm topline. Well set tail. Moderate turn of stifles. Sound as they come, but she made her handlers life difficult today! Love her. Quality all through. Res Best AVNSC Working
Rottweiler
Puppy (1,0)
1st: Docherty’s Fantasa Just In Time for Xmas. Very promising young dog indeed. I liked how she wasn’t overdone and had a degree of elegance. Head is broad enough for age. With correct proportion of skull to muzzle. Cheeks not overdone. Medium sized eyes of dark colour. Ears set high and wide apart. Good underjaw. Strong neck with slight arch. Moderate, balanced angulation fore and aft. Level topline. Deep chest. Short, muscular loins. Well set and carried tail. Very nice proportions overall and shows lots of promise. Lovely reachy side gait. Needs to steady out and back. BP.
Limit (1,0)
1st: Docherty’s & Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Daddy’s Girl Vrl1es. Head has strength but she still displays femininity. Good shape to skull with typical proportions of skull to muzzle. Skull is reasonably flat between ears which are well set. Medium size, almond shaped dark eyes complete a very nice head and expression. Nose black with large nostrils. Muscular neck. Well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm. Elbows close to body. Deep, broad chest. Level topline. Tends to over stretch when she is stood which can make her look a bit long. Short, muscular loins. Well-turned stifles and well defined hocks. Muscular thighs. Excellent side gait. Moved a little wide behind on this awkward surface. I felt she was an easy, stylish winner here. BOB
Open (1,0)
1st: Trevett’s Vonkassel Maverick Sarkay. Masculine. Big broad head with quite nice expression. Flat skull and well set ears. Correct muzzle to skull ratios. Well defined stop. Almond shaped eyes which are dark. Neck ok for length. Slight wrinkle just above shoulders. Shoulders are moderate for angulation. Upper arm needs to angle back more. Deep, broad chest. Muscular loins. Moderate turn of stifles. Stands a little cow-hocked and had tendency to turn front feet out. Well boned. Tail set ok. Moves soundly in profile. RBOB.
Samoyed
Lots of different makes and shapes here! Lots of compromises.
Puppy (2,0)
1st: King & Jennings’ Original Beauty Lady Orleansnow (Imp CZE) 9 month, super attractive puppy. Good wedge shaped head. Medium stop. Tight lips which are well pigmented. Beautiful dark eyes of lovely shape and set. Well set ears which are ideal for shape and well furred. Smiling expression. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Firm topline. Well set tail. Excellent feet for shape. Hocks could be slightly more defined. In fantastic coat with lovely silver tips. BP and pleased to learn she won Puppy Group 2
2nd: Mann’s Bennettia Princess Ariel. Very different stage of maturity to 1st. Very typical head with good wedge, dark pigment and that typical smiling expression. Well placed ears. A little square in outline. Lighter in bone than 1st. Balanced angulation but would prefer slightly more. Lots of maturing to do. Steady on the move. Not the coat of 1st as yet.
Special Yearling
(5,1)
1st: Bee’s Rosskaja Ginjo Pearl for Snowbiscuit JW. Her quality shone through here. Very typical head with good wedge. Lovely dark eyes of correct shape and set. Ears are good for size and set wide apart. Lovely dark pigment. Smiling expression. Neck is ok for length. Moderately laid shoulders. Upper arm could angle back more to bring forelegs well under her. Pasterns sloping. Correct shape to feet. Deep chest. Topline firm. Short coupled. Moderate turn of stifle. Hocks could be more defined. Excellent tail set. Good coat for texture and has lovely silver tips. Moves very soundly. Wonderful condition RBOB.
2nd: Gwynne’s Rosnorske Royal Kylo. Really looking very raw here and lacking in coat. Masculine, wedge shaped head with lovely eyes and great pigment. Nice expression. I liked his size as some are clearly too small. Neck moderate for length. Rather upright in angles at present. Chest needs to drop. Good bone and excellent feet. Level topline. Well set tail. Sound mover.
3rd: Gwynne’s Rosnorske Royal Azalea
Limit (3,0)
1st: Gwynne’s Rosnorske Royal Kylo
2nd: Willcock’s Dynar Absinthe Hemingway JW Rsm Jch. For me her head, though very pretty, isn’t quite right. She needs more stop and slightly better wedge. Eyes are super for shape, set and colour. Excellent pigmentation. Ears are rather low set. Quite nicely put together with good bone for size. Firm topline. Well set tail. Moves soundly. Coat a bit lacking on the day.
3rd: Gwynne’s Rosnorske Royal Azalea
Open (4,1)
1st: Young’s Cocosamel Camélia. A moderate girl who has no exaggeration anywhere. Good wedge and smiling expression. Lovely dark eyes which are well set and good shape. Ears are set well but maybe a fraction large. Well furred. Tight lips. Nose could have slightly darker pigmentation. Moderate length of neck. Well laid shoulders and upper arm angles back to set her forelegs well under her. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Bit long in body for height at withers. Well-turned stifles and well defined, firm hocks. Well set tail which she carried perfectly on the move. In excellent coat and condition. Excellent mover in profile. Never stopped showing. BOB.
2nd: Hopkins Navratilova’s Ch Holy Archie Orleansnow (Imp CZE). A shapely boy who catches your eye for outline. Too heavy all through for my preference. Heavy in skull and rather too rounded in skull. Foreface does taper to lovely black nose. Dark eyes of very nice shape and set. Ears are well placed, of correct size and well-furred. Neck a tad short and could have more angles in front to balance the rear. Very heavy in bone. Firm topline. High tail set. Low set hocks. Excellent feet. Moves soundly. Superb presentation.
3rd: Wilcock’s Ti Amo Boschi Vecchi for Dynar (Imp Ita) JW Rsm Jch

2nd: Manners & Scales’ Roopec Just One More JW. Another good one who looks great on the table. Didn’t really play ball on the floor today. Quality is there to be felt and seen. Excellent head with very typical expression. Moved rather erratically.

1st Manners’ Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti VW. One of the best Schipps of recent times in my opinion. She’s not heavy or overdone in anyway like some we see. She is ultra feminine and so very well put together. Superb head with correct balance, gorgeous eyes, earset and that typical expression. Well built and picture book of the standard for me. Super mover. Have judged her before and loved her as much today as before. Stunning girl. BOB.
2nd: Rollinson & Manners’ Ch\Ir Ch Summerhaze Shafran among Chadbower (Imp Rus) Ir Jch. Masculine with typical expression. He’s quite low on the leg for me and a little short in neck. Good bone. Deep chest. Tail is well set. Good coat demarcation. Moves soundly in profile.

GRP4: Hosie’s Shadowrise Smash’n Grab. Newfoundland. Just a puppy and obviously very immature, but with such a fantastic head, construction and movement, she could not be overlooked. Absolutely super mover. Should have a massive future if she carries on developing like this!
