A super bunch of dogs, thank you for bringing them along for my appraisal.

Retriever (Flat Coated)

P (3 1) 1 Whitaker, Jetstarski Run Like Hell 8mth B Pretty, very friendly and enthusiastic. Promising youngster. Feminine build, racy but not weedy. Lovely head, long and nicely moulded, slight stop, dark eye, small well set on ears, open nostrils, scissor bite. Head well set in neck, clean into shoulder. Deep chest, well defined brisket, well ribbed back into short square loin, tight elbows. Straight legs of good bone. Moderately angulated fore and aft. Standing true all round. Dense, fine, flat coat. Ample feathering for age. Moved straight and true, free and flowing. Pleased to award BP

2 Walker & Roberts, Gloi Dubh Mormaer 6mth D at his first show. Long, moulded head with slight stop, dark eye, small well set on ear. Head well set into long neck, obliquely set into shoulder. Lovely front angulation, in balance with hindquarters. Straight legs of good bone. Well let down hocks. Deep chest, well defined brisket, well ribbed back into short square loin. Round, well arched feet, strong soles. Dense fine flat coat, ample feathering for age. Free and flowing movement, a bit loose in limb today, should improve with maturity.

J (2 0) 1 Holman, Ronevorg Can I Be Famous for Namtresa 15mth B Head , open nostrils. Dark eye, long, flat and moderately broad skull, slight stop, good sized nose, open nostrils. Small well set on ear, close to side of head. Head well set in long neck, obliquely placed in shoulders. Forelegs straight of good bone. Tight elbows. Round feet with strong soles. Body well ribbed up, foreribs fairly flat, well arched in centre, short square loin. Muscular hindquarters, moderate bend of stifle and hock, hocks well let down. Flat dense coat of medium texture. Moderately feathered. Free and flowing movement.

2 Whitaker, Jetstarski Run Like Hell (Rpt)

L (8 4) 1 Buckley, Blacktoft Brindisi by Buckleyhill Rising 3yr D Masculine muscular dog, powerfully built without lumber, showing raciness without weediness. Head long, broad, nicely moulded, flat skull, slight stop, good head planes, large nose with open nostrils. Dark eye. Head well set into long neck, obliquely set into excellent forehand. Tight elbows. Legs straight of good bone. Round well arched feet, strong soles. Moderate angulation fore and aft, well let down hocks. Deep, broad chest, well defined brisket. Body well ribbed up, well arched in centre. Short, square, muscular loin. Short straight well set on tail. Dense coat of medium texture, legs and tail well feathered. Free flowing movement straight and true.

2 Prior, Blacktoft Avelino at Finnashember Rising 3yr B Littermate to 1 and with similar attributes in a more feminine mould. Head long and nicely moulded, kind eye. Small ear well set on and laying close to side of head. Lovely angulation to forehand and matching hind angulation. Straight legs of good bone. Tight elbows. Round well arched feet, strong soles. Chest deep and well ribbed, well defined brisket. Short loin. Dense, fine coat, legs and tail well feathered. In fit muscular condition. Free flowing movement.

3 Whitaker, Jetstarski I’m On Fire 3 1/2yr B

O (4 1) 1 Walker & Roberts, Gloi Dubh Kristofer Robin JW 3yr D Lovely example of the breed. Medium in size and balanced throughout. Bright, active, confident and kind expression. Ever wagging tail. Powerful, well muscled. Super headpiece of correct panes and proportions, dark medium sized eye, small ear well set on and close to side of head. Long neck well set on, super front, tight elbows, and matching moderate hind angulation, well let down hocks. Straight legs with good bone, round, well arched feet, strong soles. Deep and fairly broad chest, well defined brisket, body well ribbed and well arched. Short, square, muscular loin. Dense fine flat coat, well feathered on legs and tail. Movement free and flowing, straight and true. Pleased to award BOB

P (1 0) 1 Williamson, V’Reiltin Vosgienne De La Riviere Ouareau for Tingleburn (Imp Fra) 7m B Smart upstanding youngster, very distracted by the other dogs today. Good sized head, skull high in dome, large nose, small almond shaped brown eye, smooth face, pronounced top-knot. Long, oval shaped, low set ears. Neck nicely set into sloping shoulder. Good depth of chest, ribs need to spring. Straight legs, well boned. Large round feet. Short, level back, well angulated hindquarters, low set hock. Super puppy coat of thick, dense curls with natural oiliness. Moved well, with reach and drive, once settled. BP

L (1 0) 1 Bannister, Ta An Neifinn at Banysun 3 1/2yr B Smart, upstanding, strongly built, compact. Good sized head, high dome, good length and strength of muzzle, large well developed nose. Scissor bite. Classic Top-knot of long curls. Small expressive almond shaped brown eye. Long oval shaped low set ears, hanging close to cheeks, covered in long twisting curls. Arched neck strongly set into sloping shoulder. Straight legs, well boned. Deep chest of good width, well sprung ribcage, well ribbed back into strong deep & wide loin. Short, broad level back. Well angulated hindquarters, low set hock. Large round spreading feet. Short, low set tail. Super puce-liver coat of dense tight, crisp ringlets with natural oiliness. Moved freely with reach and drive, lovely breed typical rolling movement. Pleased to award BOB

O (2 1) 1 Williamson, Finchsmill Secret Surprise for Tingleburn 2 1/2yr B Not quite the balance or substance of the BOB, but still time to mature. Pretty, feminine head but still of good size with correct proportions, high in done, long muzzle, large nose. Top knot of long curls. Small almond shaped hazel eye. Long, oval shaped low set ears covered in long twisting curls. Arched neck, set into sloping shoulder. Well boned straight legs. Good spring and length of rib, would prefer a bit more depth of chest. Short back, short loin. Well angulated stifle, a bit long in bone stifle to hock, which was well let down. Large round spreading feet. Short low set tail. Excellent dense coat of tight, crisp ringlets. Naturally oily. Moved with reach and drive.
