Puppy (10,7)

1, Mrs S Walton Chataway Let’s Jive

A balanced black dog puppy of 10 months, not over done anywhere. He has a masculine head with a kind expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, straight forelegs with good bone. Has enough rib for his age and development stage. Nice turn of stifle with wide thighs. Short hocks. Tail set correctly and carried level on the move. Moved well holding a firm level topline. BPIB and went onto RBPIS.

2, Mrs J Henderson Pendledell Violanda

10 month old black bitch with a nicely balanced feminine head with a good stop, low set ears. Good reach of neck into fine sloping shoulders. Good return of forearm. Straight front legs, compact body with short loin. Maximum angulation in hindquarter. She presented a lovely picture when stacked but preferred the tail set of 1. Moved energetically using her tail.

Junior (12,10)

1, Miss C Eisen Crankswood Quick Step

Black dog of 17 months. Masculine head with a moderate length of neck. Showing a pleasing front when stacked. Good return of forearm, straight front legs and well padded feet. Well sprung ribs and a firm loin. Nice tail set. Good bend of stifle with short hocks. Has good angulation behind but handler not making the best of it.

2, Mrs C Flynn Plaiglen Haribo

A compact and cobby blue roan 16 month old dog. He has a balanced head with low set ears. Muscled neck of moderate length which flowed into well placed shoulders. Well developed forechest. Big ribs. Firm level topline with wide round hindquarters. Good angulation behind and short below hocks. Happy on the move.

Graduate (9,5)

1, Mrs C and Mr K Kita-Oakes and Oakes Ludzska Royal Quest

A bigger type of cocker. 2 year old blue roan dog. Balanced masculine head with tight eye rims. Moderate length neck. Well sprung ribs with a deep brisket, longer through loin. Well rounded quarters. Good turn of stifle. Moved out with purpose carrying tail a little high.

2, Mrs S L Tomlinson Milalder April Showers

Orange roan bitch 17 months old. A smaller type with a feminine head, tight eyes and low set ears. Moderate length of neck with fine shoulders. Well sprung rib, short loin with a gentle slope to tail. Holding a good topline. Preferred substance of 1.

Post Graduate (5,2)

1, Mrs S L Tomlinson Milalder Lady Madonna

Nicely balanced light blue roan bitch of good type. 2 ½ years old. A pretty head with a distinct stop. Good ear set. Nice reach of neck into well placed shoulder. Straight forelegs. Well sprung ribs with firm short loin. Croup sloped gently to a well placed tail. Moved merrily with drive round the ring.

2, Mr A and Miss R Bradbury and Mather Kyna Crystal Clear

Compact and cobby 2 ½ year old blue roam bitch. Sweet head with good proportions, low set ears, clean throat. Muscled neck of a moderate length. Chest is well developed and plenty rib. Short coupled. Good tail set. Good angulation through hindquarters with enough width to thigh. A little unsettled on the move giving erratic moments.

1, Mr N Wood Plaiglen Biker Babe to Helenwood JW

A quality black bitch of 22 months. Well balanced head with a distinct stop and dark eyes with a soft expression. She has a good length of neck flowing into fine sloping shoulder. Good return of forearm with good width to chest. Well of for bone, straight front legs standing on well padded feet. Well sprung ribs. Level topline with gentle slope through croup to a correctly placed tail. Very muscled quarters that she used to drive round the ring. RBOB

2, Miss L J and Ms E A Norris Joadly Mr Happy at Amaranth ShCEx

4 year old black dog. Balanced head with good proportions, distinct stop with a square muzzle. Has a good length of neck which flows into well placed shoulder. Straight front legs. Plenty rib, strong loin and level topline. Deep through brisket. Enough angulation to hind quarter. Short below hock. Tail set good. Longer cast than 1. Presented in a beautiful coat.

1, Mrs S E and Mrs P M Shrinkfield and Lester Quettadene Queen of Stars JW

5 year old quality black bitch giving an overall picture of a compact sturdy merry cocker. She was presented beautifully trimmed in a glossy full coat. Not over exaggerated or over done. Feminine head with a pleasing eye, low set ears and a clean throat. Moderate neck into fine sloping shoulders, good return of forearm. Well sprung ribs, short strong loin with a slight slope through croup to a well placed tail which never stopped wagging. Hind angulation good with a nice turn of stifle and a strong second thigh to short hocks. Loved her happy temperament. BOB

Another happy, sturdy and compact cocker bitch. Blue roan 3 years old. She has a balanced head with distinct stop and a pleasing expression in her dark eyes. Low set ears and clean throat. Moderate length of neck with a good return of forearm. Well developed chest with big ribs and short, strong loin. Wide round quarters and good amount of angulation through hindquarters. Moved with purpose and drive round the ring.
