Shetland Sheepdog

Puppy 3 ent 1 abs

1st Place Oakcroft Graceful Star over Savendie (Miss L Mettan-Ure) – A very pretty sable & white bitch puppy who scores well in head for balance, she has lovely eyes giving for a sweet expression, she presents a pleasing picture on profile with a nice sweep to her topline, her length of leg is correct to her body proportions, she is in reasonable puppy coat, on the move she is clean coming and going and presents a ground covering action on side profile.

2nd Place Balidorn Olympic Star with Solyric (Miss H Gamble) – This young sable and white dog puppy does not yet have the level of confidence of 1 which did play a factor in the placings today, he was presented with a more abundant coat then one but his slight shyness gave him a less confident gait on the move, whilst he does have nice ears for shape and set he did not use them to his advantage today.

Special Yearling 3 ent 0 abs

1st Place Auberswell Star Trooper (Mrs C M Clough-Diprose) – This young sable and white male scores well in head for both balance of muzzle and skull and also for refinement, he has neat ears which are set and used well and his eyes give for a sweet expression, his neck is well arched and flows into well placed shoulders which are laid back well, his topline is pleasing with a strong back and the desired sweep over the loins, his length of body to leg are well balanced, he was presented and a super jacket and he moved out well.

2nd Place Ferngrove’s Code Blue (Mrs V Norris) – Another who is presented in super coat and condition and has a pleasing head, this blue merle male also has a well arched neck and super topline, his angles are well balanced both fore and aft and he moved round the ring with a light well balanced gait, the decision between these was very close, I just preferred the ears and eyes on 1.

3rd Place Savendie Meleys (Miss L Mettan-Ure)

Limit 4 ent 0 abs

1st Place Skeldale Wish Upon A Star over Lindfern JW (Imp Nld) (Mrs L S French) This most delightful sable & white bitch was a joy to judge today, she ticked all the boxes from nose to tail, she starts with the sweetest of expressions, beautiful eyes for set and shape and ears which are set on and used well, her neck flows into well placed shoulders, her front assembly is well angulated and she has the desired sweep over the loins, her tail is set on and carried well, she was presented in ample coat which is beautifully presented, on the move she covers the ground with a light and graceful action, delighted to award her BOB today.

2nd Place Shannmie's Dark Arches (M & G S Fenton) – 2 year old sable & white male of excellent type, he scores well in head with balance of skull and muzzle and also width and depth of skull, whilst his ears are set and used well I just preferred the overall expression of 1 today, this male did score over 1 on the amount of coat he was carrying so the decision was a close call, this male also moved out well displaying a ground covering and graceful action from all angles.

3rd Place Sabema Mayfly at Ferngrove (Mrs V Norris)

Open 9 ent 3 abs

1st Place Shannmie's Cartier (M & G S Fenton) – A very striking tricolour male of 2 years of age who pushed the limit winner hard for BOB, he is a fine example of the breed and presented in tip top condition, his head is well balanced and displays the required breed typical ratio’s which flow together to produce a quality head piece, his neck is well arched and of correct length and again just flows into his top line which has the desired sweep over the loin, he is balanced in angles fore and aft and covers the ground with ease.

2nd Place Lorainian Kings Ransom at Lindfern (Mrs M Simmons) – Another super sable & white male who has neat well set ears and good balance in muzzle and skull, his head planes were nice and level although for me I would like a little less stop. He scores well in front assembly and has matching angles to the rear, he holds a good topline static and moving and moves well from all angles, presented in super coat condition.

3rd Place Evad Lite Breeze (Miss S L Clough)
