Irish Setter

Class 21 – Puppy

1st: Harris'  Fairhaven Young Soul for Konakakela (IMP SWE) A very striking puppy full of quality and type. Balanced throughout with a beautiful, lean head, raised brow, and dark expressive eye. Exhibits the flowing lines desired in the breed — long neck into clean shoulders, firm topline and gently sloping croup. Covered the ground with reach and drive. BPIB. 2nd:  Williamson's Bluesprings Love of My Life for Shirilah. Feminine and elegant with a nice outline and sweet expression. Correct front and well-bent stifles, moved freely though not quite the drive or front extension of the winner today. Promising, just needs to tighten as she matures.

Class 22 – Post Graduate

1st: Condron's Convarney Mr Magoo. A very eye-catching male with the outline and movement that draws your attention. Balanced head with good finish, low ear set, and clean throat. Strong over the loin with good width of second thigh. Moved with excellent reach and follow-through. Held his topline firmly — a class act - BOB. 2nd:  Condron's Covarney Mini Minx. Litter sister to winner. A quality bitch of correct size and proportions. Lovely forehand construction with deep chest and well-sprung ribs. Moved smoothly but not quite the front drive of the brother today. In excellent coat and condition, well presented.

Class 23 – Limit

1st: Purves' Grousehill Dream Boy. Mature and well-balanced with excellent breed type. Racy, elegant, and in full coat with correct feathering. Smooth head planes and soft expression, strong neck into well-laid shoulders. Moved with ease and rhythm, holding a good topline throughout. 2nd: Condron's Bluebyeyou Baby Love By Covarney. Feminine and refined with nice overall shape. Pleasing head, gentle expression, dentition could be in better shape. Steady mover and handled with skill. Preferred the more developed frame and confidence of 1st.

Class  – Open

1st:Peters' Corranroo Hot Sensation at Shirlilah. A lovely bitch who exudes elegance and breed type. Balanced angulation front and rear, flowing topline.. Moved out so well — long, free stride with drive from behind. Settled for RBOB in challenge as not as purposeful on move as the PG winner. 2nd:  Needs' Coverney Paco Rabanne at Stourford. My notes say, loved him just did not want to play ball today. Mature and well-balanced with excellent breed type in side profile. Lovely front, well laid shoulders and strong topline. Hocks well let down.
