Thank you to all the Southern Japanese Chin Club for my invitation to judge at this lovely well run show,I was made extremely welcome and had a most enjoyable day. To all the exhibitors, thank you for a lovely entry, and for accepting my placings with grace, I had some lovely beautifully presented examples of this delightful breed making my decisions difficult at times, I’m sure there will be ones who change places on another day and go on to great success…

BBPD/B (2). 1st: Farmer’s, Sangria I Am Sirius. Just a baby, but this handsome young man was of good breed type with a lovely head and expression, a little reluctant to move at times but saw enough to award him, BBPIS.

2nd: Farmer’s, Sangria She’s Got Swagger. Litter sister to 1st, pretty feminine baby, she refused to move so had to give way to her brother. Both still babies, and I’m sure they will develop well and do well in the future.

MPD (1). 1st: Mountcastle, Hubble & Summerbell ‘s, Dabrives, Silver Sword. This 9 month old black & white puppy was well balanced, a typical head and bright alert expression, a correct muzzle with cushioning developing well and open nostrils and well placed ears. Of good type and nicely proportioned, moved OK with a level topline carrying well set tail. RBPIS

LD (3-1ab). 1st: Tong’s, Cranvarl The Red King Of Jakconas. A handsome red and white male in super coat with a beautiful head and a lovely eye giving that astonished expression, a good length of neck into a good shoulder placement, wide chest with good spring of rib, good rear angulation, nice tail set and carriage, moved with style and attitude. RBIS, BR&WIS

OD (3-1ab). 1st: Rooney, Green & Green’s, Jaschin Paw Star. This was my star of the day. A super male of 2 years of excellent breed type, good for size and so well balanced, elegant and aristocratic who demands attention. Moved around the ring with a free flowing action. A correct skull with well placed ears with super fringing, a lovely dark eye, a good muzzle with excellent cushioning, a moderate neck used to advantage with proud attitude. A well covered body with good chest and neat elbows, he held his topline carrying a well set tail, in beautiful coat and condition, moved with purpose, looked super in profile and was true away and back. BIS

A nicely balanced head with good finish to foreface, dark expressive eyes and a good ear set. Enough neck into a well placed shoulder, firm body, happy and steady on the move.

MPB (2-1ab). 1st: Pearce & Hann’s, Rakuchin Helen Bach. I just adored this baby I could have very easily taken her home. A glorious head with expressive dark eyes, well set ears and a good muzzle with cushioning developing well. Excellent shoulder placement with body developing nicely, moved OK, but not giving her all today but displayed enough for me to award her BPIS. I will watch her progress with interest, the future looks bright.

Such a pretty head with good cushioning, dark eyes and well set ears. A lovely size and nicely balanced with good layback of shoulder and turn of stifle.
