1st May’s SCRUMPTIOUS RED ON THE DOT – 11mth old dog of correct proportions good size, masculine in head and kind eye. Clean neck and shoulder with correct shoulder placement decent keel for his age, body developing nicely. Decent rear angulation, firm in topline. Good rear muscle tone. Moving soundly. BOB & BP

2nd Mason’s CROWNLAKES MILLION DREAMS – 11mth old bitch of correct size, lacking confidence in the ring today but the windy weather didn’t help. Preferred the head of 1st. Good neck and well-placed shoulder, forearm short. Correct front makeup. Ribs extended well back. Just needs more time to mature. Lovely strong rear angulation.

1st Mason’s CH TECKELTOWN SURSPICIOUS MIND – super B/T 2yr old male who I have previously judged and awarded BOB to as a puppy nice to see he is now a Champion. He has developed very nicely during that time. Super head and correct almond eye shape and colour. Lovely clean neck, the best of front construction. Compact body well-muscled throughout. Lovely, rounded rump and correct tailset. Moved around the ring with great drive. Presented well. BOB.

2nd Drewery’s DEBIANDAXIES SHIRLEY GIRL 9mth old B/T bitch with a feminine head lots to like about her. Nicely made forehand good keel. Strong in bone correct feet. Ribs well back, correct underline her body beginning to develop. Great strong rear. Moving freely. BP

3rd Holmes’s DEBIANDAXIES DERRY GIRL – Litter sister to 2nd.

1st Paipala’s – ALANEA SWEET HONEY AT ROGANSROCK – 11mth old bitch good size, decent in head lovely length, correct eye shape and colour good ear set. Decent neck slightly arched into a well-placed shoulder & upperarm. Legs strong and clean. Ribs extending well back. Correct short loin. Strong hindquarters which she used to her advantage on the move. In good coat. BOB & BP

2nd Kay’s KAYTIAN THE SUNCALLER – 18mth old dog who is at the “adolescent stage” and needs time to develop in body and drop in chest. Everything is in the correct place construction wise and lots to like about him. Pleasing in head. Great muscle tome throughout. Moving very soundly with confidence. Time will be his friend.

1st Corner’s CARCORN CHRISSYS LEGEND – litter mates in this class - 11mth old dog who appealed for overall type. Good head and expression. Clean strong neck. Super forehand and good depth of brisket. Strong legs good feet. Well developed in body for his age and ribbed well back. Short strong loin. Good underline. Firm topline which he held on the move. Lovely rounded rump and correct tailset. Won the class on movement today but very close decision. BOB & BP

2nd Corner’s CARCORN CHRISSYS GIRL – litter sister to 1st and I’m sure they will swap places on many occasions. Similar comments to her brother here, nice breed type and well-made young girl. Just lacking in confidence with her handler today which cost her the class.

1st Balmer’s TRAPALEBA CARRERA – 9mth old bitch of correct size stood presents a balanced outline. Good head with correct eye moderate stop. Enough neck and depth of chest. Well developed in body and ribs well sprung & back. Level topline. Nicley proportioned rear. Moving freely fore & aft.

2nd Balmer’s TRAPALEBA DIOR JW – litter sister to 1st and preferred this bitches head to her sister. The weather however wasn’t kind and she hated the wind and rain so let herself down today. Straight forelegs. Good bone. Body well developed. Good ribbing. Longer in loin than 1st. Well developed quarters. Level topline. Good tailset.

Open (5,2):

1st Brown & Filby’s DESJIEM BILLY DON’T BE A HERO JW – 3yr old dog, correct head shape & kind expression. Good length of neck and correctly placed shoulder. Good spring of ribs, short loin. Moderate rear angulation with good muscle tone. Best mover in the class. BOB

2nd Spavins & Chevalier’s ASHTERNS DELPHINIUS – 5yr old dog nicely put together. Preferred the head of 1st as more refined. Clean in neck and shoulder. Good brisket well developed body. Good rear angulation. Firm topline. Moving soundly.

1st Bramley, Holdstock Fretwell & Markin’s – CALLAISCROFT ESPRIT DE VIE FOR AMICOFEDELE (Naf) – 11mth old dog full of the devil today testing his handler! Super young man with one of the best heads with correct divergences, cheeks lean, super chiselling below the eyes, correct eye colour & shape no denying his masculinity. Short strong neck. Straight forelegs, super bone & substance for his age. Well laid shoulder. Good depth of chest. Short strong loin. Well-muscled quarters. Moving well once settled. BP.

Open (5,3):

1st Sandersons SH CH OWLSPOINT TROUBLE AGAIN JW ShCEx OSW – a dog I have previously judged as a youngster and done well, pleased he has matured so beautifully and now a Show Champion. He has got better with age and his movement is impressive when at full extended trot. Appeals for overall breed type. Stacked he poses the correct almost square outline. His head has the aristocratic appeal that the breed requires. Well made in front & rear construction. Body well developed and ribbed well sprung. Super depth. Strong slightly arched loin. Presented in hard condition. BOB.

2nd Sanderson’s WHITGUN U’CANT TOUCH THIS AT WALWAL JW – 3yr old bitch super in head lovely chiselling and work in her head, correct eye colour & shape, lean cheeks. Short neck good depth of brisket. Neat elbows straight forelegs. Correct oval bone super feet. Correct topline carrying a little excess weight today, which spoilt her overall outline. Moving soundly.

1st – Knowles’s MENSTONIA ENDLESS MIST – 6mth old bitch with a super feminine head correct ear set lovely eye and expression with a good depth of muzzle. Clean in neck and shoulder. Lovely straight front. Stood on good bone. Body beginning to develop nicely for her young age. Quarters well rounded and good muscle. Moving soundly around the ring. Will have a bright future. BP

2nd Knowles’s MENSTONIA ENDURANCE – litter brother to 1st another very nice puppy just needs more time to mature and develop to his full potential his sister as the edge on him today. Masculine headpiece & soft kind expression. Lovely front make up. Many of the same comments apply and they are both a credit to their owner. Moving soundly once settled. Also should do well.

Junior (3):

1st Chandler’s CHANANGEL WHITE ROSE – 14mth old bitch of nice breed type. Lovely head and expression. Good neck and shoulder placement. Correct straight forelegs stood on decent bone lovely round feet. Good spring of rib compact body. Excellent turn of stifle and second thigh. Moving with good rear action happily around the ring.

2nd Graham’s SLAPESTONES CATOCA – 14mth old bitch pretty headpiece, correct eye providing a soft expression. Clean in neck & shoulder. Compact body short loin nicely coupled. Firm topline. Lovey rear quarters with good muscle tone. Moving soundly and freely. Turned out in good coat & condition.

1st Chandler’s CHANANGEL YORKSHIRE ROSE – 6yr old bitch decent head correct ear set and depth of muzzle. Good reach of neck and nicely laid shoulder. Stood on good bone and tidy feet. Well developed in body. Would prefer a tighter front and a touch more leg length to balance the picture. Lovely rear quarters and second thigh. Good tailset. Moving freely and soundly around the ring.

2nd Casey’s TIGERROCK AMAZING GRACE WITH WILLOWMEANA – 3yd old bitch of good size and proportions. Lovely head and kind expression. Good neck and shoulder and front makeup. Lovely bone, round feet. Ribs well sprung and nicely coupled body. Firm topline. Good bend of stifle. Just not happy with the wind & rain today which really unsettled her.

Open (6,2):

1st Chandler’s Sh Ch CHANANGEL JO SUGDEN JW ShCEx OSW – 4yr dog who presents a lovely balanced outline. The best of heads, correct proportions lovely chiselling below the eyes. Clean in neck and shoulder. Super bone and round catlike feet. Great spring of ribs and a strong muscular loin. Well let down quarters with a good second thigh. Correct tailset and firm topline. Presented in 1st class coat & condition. Moving well and with good rear drive with his capable young handler. BOB.

2nd Graham’s AINDREA HARLEYQUINN – 7yr old bitch of good size. Slightly heavier in head than I would prefer but a lovely kind eye. Well made front makeup and decent bone. Tight elbows. Good depth of brisket and well developed in body. Good topline. Nicley proportioned rear quarters. Turned out in good condition.

1st Burgess REDMANHEY’S COMTE DE LA FERE – 3yr old dog well balanced dog good slightly wedge-shaped head, flat cheeks, correct almond shaped eye and a soft expression. Decent in neck. Good bone round feet. Well bodied with tight fitting elbows. Short back strong loin. Turned out in lovely coat & condition. Moving with good reach & drive. Pushed hard for BOB.

2nd Copeland & Knowles EUSANIT OH ECK ITS MENSTONIA – 10mth old bitch of nice size pretty headpiece, correct ear set. Lost out to 1st on maturity here of course, but she has time on her side. Good strong neck well set on. Well laid shoulder. Built on finer lines all through. Decent rear with neat hocks. Lovely coat. Moving soundly with animation. BP

1st Copeland & Knowles EUSANIT IT’LL BE REET AT MENSTONIA – 5yr old upstanding mature dog. He presents a clean outline. Masculine headpiece broad with kind expression. Strong neck into well laid shoulder. Excellent bone and feet. Good depth of brisket. Well developed body good spring of ribs. Enough rear angulation. Well-muscled. Turned out in super coat & condition. Moving the best today to win BOB.

2nd Dalton’s ROSETTA LADY MARMALADE – 11th old bitch pretty head, flat cheeks good eye colour. Decent neck and shoulder placement. Good bone neat feet. Body developing nicely for her age. Short couplings. Good rear angulation. Presented and handled to her advantage. Moving with good action soundly.

AV Special Veteran Stakes (28): A lovely class of quality veterans

1st – Bird & Caden’s MOLSON MR BLUE SKY JW- 8yr old male Shetland Sheepdog who appealed for overall type. Super masculine refined headpiece. Correct width between the ears, skull flat and correct wedge shape. Lovely eye. Super ears and set. Lovely bone and oval feet. Great spring of ribs. Level topline. Muscular croup and correct tail set. Well let down quarters, with excellent muscle tone that many lacked in the class. Neat hocks. Presented in super double coat & condition. Moved with such ease and style.

2nd Thurm’s SH CH BRYBURN BACCHUS JW ShCM SHCEx – 9yr old GSP presented in good hard condition. Lovely headpiece masculine with correct dark eye and providing a kind expression. Good head width slight rounded and correct ear placement. Clean in neck and shoulder. Shoulder well placed and sloping, straight forelegs with elbows set well back. Good depth of chest well sprung ribs. Firm topline. Excellent rear angulation of correct proportions. Moving with good rear action.
