Flat Coat Retrievers

Puppy (1):

1st – Walker & Roberts – SEAHEART FRIDA AT GLOI – 8mth old bitch of good size and overall breed type. Pleasing head and expression. Enough neck would refer a bit more front angulation. Well off for bone neat feet. Ribs beginning to develop well for her age. Firm in topline. Good tail. Nicely proportioned quarters which allowed her to move with good rear action, confidently. Turned out in lovely coat & condition. BP

Junior (4):

1st – Walker & Roberts – GLOI DUBH MORMAER – 13mth old male who appealed for overall balance & maturity. Masculine in head with soft kind expression. Good reach of neck and well made forehand. Good depth of brisket. Well sprung ribs and nicely developed body for his young age. Excellent rear angulation and well-muscled which some lacked. Firm topline good tail. Moved soundly, could be neater behind. Presented well.

2nd Whitaker’s – JETSTARSKI RUN LIKE THE WIND – 15mth old bitch of nice size. Pretty in head and good eye colour providing gentle expression. Everything in the right place with her just needs time to fill out. Firm in topline. Correct bone and feet. Good muscle tone. Lovely rear angulation. In excellent coat. Moving soundly.

3rd Leavy’s WYCHWIZARD PAINTED LADY

Post Graduate (4):

1st Walker & Roberts – GLOI DUBAH LADY MUCK JW – 2.5 year old bitch correct head shape with kind expression. Good neck and well-placed shoulder. Nice depth of forechest. Stood on good bone neat feet. Well sprung ribs short-coupled body. Well let down hocks, quarters with good muscle. Happy disposition and good use of tail. Needs to settle on the move but once she did had a good side gait and profile.

2nd Leavy’s WYCHWIZARD PAINTED LADY – 14mth old bitch good size pretty in head. Straight forelegs neat feet, slightly narrow in front and would like her to develop more which she will with time. Pleasing overall shape just needs to fill the frame. Slightly long in loin. Well made quarters. Moving soundly.

3rd Pierce’s WYCHWIZARD FORESTER AT TARNMILLCRAG

Open (3):

1st Walker & Roberts - GLOI DUBH KRISTOPHER ROBIN JW – 3rd old male of pleasing type, masculine head with lovely kind expression, correct ear set and muzzle shape. Super neck and shoulder placement. Lovely depth of brisket. Well boned legs good feet. Super spring of rib and well developed in body. Firm level topline and correct tailset. Great rear angulation with good second thigh. Turned out in hard condition. Standing true all round. Moving soundly fore and aft. BOB

2nd – SH CH EVENING MIST BLACK BRIANTA (IMP CZE) – 7yr old bitch with a feminine head lovely kind eye. Straight forelegs well boned. Lost out to the front assembly of the winner, good depth of chest well spring ribs and mature in body. Would prefer a slightly shorter loin. Excellent rear quarters with good muscle. Level topline and good tailset. Beautifully presented and handled.

Puppy (1):

1st How’s SAWBRIDGE CAIRDEAS – 11mth old bitch of medium size and balanced profile. Correct wedge-shaped head and flat cheeks. Correct eye colour and shape. Good neck length and shoulders well laid back. Lovely depth of chest for her young age. Body developing nicely with short back. Well let down hocks. Good tail set and well feathered. Super movement with good front reach. Presented and handled well to get the most from her. Will have a bright future. BP.

1st How’s SAWBRIDGE CAIRDEAS

Post Graduate (3):

1st Bennet’s – REDMANHEY’S COMTE DE LA FERE – 3yr old dog that I have judged previously. He appeals for overall type and balance. The best of heads, masculine wedge like shape, broad skull and required flat cheeks, correct almond shape eye. Good strong neck and lovely lay back of shoulder. Stood on super bone and correct round feet. Straight forelegs. Good deep chest and well sprung ribs. Back short. Well bent stifles with hocks well let down. Presented in super coat & condition. Good tailset. Moving well with jaunty forward action which won him BOB.

2nd Boyd’s SKYSARIA EXTERNAL FLAME JW – 23mth old dog who still needs more time to develop and mature. Would prefer more overall substance on this young dog. Pleasing head. Enough forechest. Level topline. Slightly longer cast than preferred. Moving okay once settled.

3rd – How’s HWYADEN SUNRISE RUBY AT SAWBRIDGE

Open (6, 1abs):

1st Copeland’s & Knowles – EUSANIT IT’LL BE REET AT MENSTONIA – 5yr old male who I have awarded well previously. Upstanding dog of nice breed type. Good masculine head of correct shape. Decent lay back of shoulder. Lovely bone and feet. Straight forelegs. Short back. Level topline with strong loin. Well-muscled quarters. Turned out and presented in super coat. Was out moved today by his younger competitor for BOB.

2nd How’s SAWBRIDGE LOCHBUIE – 3yr old bitch pleasing head shape and kind alert expression. Good length of neck and correct proportioned forehand. Level topline. And good spring of ribs. Super rear angulation which she used well on the move.

1st Wood’s NADAVIN NUSA AT SAGALA – 2.5yr old black bitch pleasing feminine head and dark eye. Well made forehand. Well boned legs tidy feet. Would prefer a bit more spring of rib. Firm topline. Lovely rear angulation. Turned out in good coat & condition. Moving freely and soundly. BOB

1st Nixon’s AFTERGLOW WHIRLWIND- Whippet - 2.5yr old bitch full of breed type impressed for overall balance and grace of outline. Long lean head with bright expression. Correct rose shaped ears. Long neck into well laid-back shoulder. Correct proportions of front angulation. Good depth of brisket. Well-muscled back with correct arch over the loin. Well developed second thigh. Moving with long free style to win the class.

2nd Liggin & Hodge SILVER PASSION GLAM FASHION AT NUNSBROOK JW (IMP DEU) – 3.5 yr Golden Ret. Mature male masculine in head broad skull good eye colour and expression. Best of front assembly. Good depth of brisket. Tight elbows. Mature well developed body. Level topline super rear quarters which he used well on the move. Presented in hard condition.

1st Isherwood’s SH CH GUNALT SCHWEPPES AT CALEYDENE JW – Weimaraner 3rd old male who stood out in the class. Impressive outline stacked of overall balance. Super head and expression. Clean in neck and well-made front assembly. Lovely overall substance throughout. Moving effortlessly with excellent drive from the rear.

2nd Hall’s CH/IR CH AFILADOR HOLD MY HAND WITH HOLLYBROOK (IMP USA) – Ibizan Hound – 6yr old worthy champion. Super outline finely built frame with beautiful long head and flat skull correct muzzle length. Expressive amber eyes beautiful large ears which she used well. Lean slightly arched neck into correct short shoulder blades. Straight legs and well arched toes. Level back with good tuck up. Long flat ribbing. Good second thigh. Great suspended trot action in profile.
