Club 12th February 2025 Judge Kay Cook (Exelby) Just a little preamble… I found at least 3 level bites! Minor Puppy Dog. 1 (0) 1st Harris - Winsleywood Wilfred. Yellow boy just turned 6 months. Masculine head and just right for his age. Gentle stop, correct eye shape with pleasing colour. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Level topline held very well on the move with very little puppy roll. Well off for bone and well let down hock. Moved as I would expect a puppy of his age Puppy Dog 3 (0) 1st Harvey-Major - State Park In Linjor. Yellow boy just turned 9months. Sympathetic and gentle expression. Correct eye shape and colour. Super pigmentation. Well laid back shoulder and level topline with correct onset of well wrapped tail. Super barrelled rib, moderate stifle. Moved well on tight feet. Best Puppy Dog 2nd Smith - Binnaig Sea Barnacle on Flyenpyg. 11 months yellow boy. Stronger head than 1, but not overdone. Beautifully balanced front and rear. Good bone. Well developed 2nd thigh. Moved well. 3rd Scotford-Jackson - Tugford Digby. While it’s unusual to critique 3rd place, I would like to acknowledge a lovely Field Trial bred black youngster. Sweet head with a soft and gentle expression. Good strong reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Level topline and well turned stifle. Finely built but well put together, Covered ground with ease. All in all a very nice FT bred boy Junior Dog 6(1) 1st McLellan - Saranden I’m On Fire. yellow boy of 15 months. Pleasing head with correct eye shape and good colour. Correct onset of ears, just needs to use them! Good reach of neck flowing into well lay back of shoulder. Topline level with correct onset of tail. Moderate stifle and well developed 2d thigh. Moved well on tight feet. 2nd Smith - Binnaig Sea Barnacle on Flyenpyg. As 2nd in puppy dog 3rd Foster - Rochevale Beal Yearling Dog 4(2) 1st Foster - Rochevale Beal (3rd in previous class). Yellow boy, masculine head without being overdone. Good reach of neck, balanced front and rear. Topline held on the move, would prefer tighter feet, moved ok 2nd Mell - Trentagh Nketia. Black boy, pleasing head with correct eye shape. Very exuberant making it difficult to assess correctly. Presented. Nice outline on the move and moved well Graduate Dog 6(2) 1st Smith - Binnaig Sea Barnacle on Flyenpyg. As previous classes 2nd Way - Incantator Fabulinus. Yellow boy. Strong head with good eye shape and colouring. Correct scissor bite well off for coat well barrelled rib, well turned stifle. Moved ok Post Graduate Dog 5(1) 1st Bambrook - Winsleywood Waghorn at Ravoakar JW. Yellow boy. I’ve admired this dog for. While and delighted to get my hands on him, he did not disappoint. Pleasing head with soft and gentle expression. Correct eye shape and colour. Good pigmentation. Excellent reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Level topline and correct onset of well wrapped otter tail. Nicely barrelled rib, short coupled. Well let down hock. This boy presented a beautifully balanced profile, moved well. Best Dog, RBOB & BOS 2nd Manning - Marchurch Imperial Topaz JW. Yellow boy, heavier than 1. Correct scissor bite. Well laid shoulder and level topline. Correct tailset. Moderate stifle, well let down hock. Moved well 3rd Edwards - Chelmscote Key Component Open dog 12(4)(1wd) 1st McLellan - Saranden Pensacola. Chocolate boy with a pleasing head and soft gentle typical Labrador expression. Correct eye shape with good colouring. Correct front and rear making a balanced outline. Level topline with. Correct onset of well wrapped tail. Well developed 2nd thigh and short Hock. Moved well 2nd Smith - Flyenpyg Jurgen Chopp JW. Black boy with a sweet expression. Corrie t onset of ear which he used to advantage. Well laid shoulder, good front angulation. Well barrelled rib and short coupled. Presented in super hard condition, moved well. Truly splitting hairs between 1 & 2. 3rd Harvey-Major - Linjor Winter Frost. Minor Puppy Bitch 4(2) 1sr Manning - Marchurch Solstice Kiss. Yellow girl of 8 months. Pleasing head shape. Good reach of neck into well laid back shoulder. Minor dip in topline which will level out with maturity. Correct set on of tail. Well off for bone. Moved well on tight feet. 2nd Edwards - Centenalee Lola at Bearstone. 6 months black girl. Good bone o lovely tight feet. Correct double coat with harsh guard hair. We’ll set on tail. Moved ok Puppy Bitch 2(1) 1st Jones - Serengoch’s Calistoga. Stood alone but very worthy of her 1st place. Substantial chocolate girl of 11 months. Very pleasing head oozing femininity. Correct eye shape with good colouring complimenting coat colour, giving a soft and gentle expression. Good depth of muzzle with correct scissor bite. Strong reach of neck into well lay back of shoulder. Good angulation front and rear and short coupled. Moderate stifle with well developed 2nd thigh and well let down hock. Superbly wrapped otter tail. Moved well. Best puppy Bitch and BPIB Junior Bitch 6(3) 1st McLellan - Saranden Book Of Dreams. Yellow girl presenting feminine head with moderate stop, correct eye shape and pleasing colour. Good pigment. Very pleasing head shape with Correct t scissor bite. Excellent front and rear angulation giving a lovely balanced outline. Level topline, well let down Hock standing on tight feet. Moved well 2nd. Brandon - Trendlewood It Takes Two. Rich dark chocolate girl of correct proportions. Pleasing head shape with.good eye colour. Excellent lay back of shoulder , level topline and correct onset of well wrapped otter tail. Well barrelled rib. Moved well 3rd Nightingale- Flyenpyg Emily Grunt Yearling Bitch 5(1) 1st Woodley - Alkhamhurst London Girl. Black girl who captured my attention as she came into the ring and going over, did not disappoint. Beautiful and typical Labrador expression. Superb constructed front with good length of upper arm. Level topline and short coupled with well sprung rib. Correctly wrapped otter tail which she put to good use. Moderate stifle with short hock and well developed 2nd thigh. Super tight feet. Moved well covering ground with ease. Best Bitch, BOB and later heard she went Reserve Best in Show 2nd Jones - Serengoch’s Knockin Boots. Very pretty feminine chocolate girl with correct head proportions , good depth of muzzle with scissor bite. Correct eye shape and colouring giving that typical soft expression. Good front and rear angulation with superb otter tail. Good bone standing on tight feet. Moved well 3rd Young - Potterspiney Ashoka Tano Graduate Bitch 7(2) 1st McLellan - Saranden Book Of Dreams. As 1st Junior Bitch 2nd Young - Carromer Royal Dreamer at Potterspiney. Black girl, good width of head with moderate stop and correct eye shape. Good reach of neck flowing to level topline . Well sprung rib and short coupled. Moderate stifle. Good feet, moved ok 3rd Edward - Chelmscote One To Remember Post Graduate Bitch 1st Collins - Foxrush Joyfull. yellow girl exuding femininity. Pleasing eye colour and excellent pigmentation. Ears set back and used to advantage. Good angulation fromt and rear giving a Well balanced and pleasing outline. Well off for bone, feet ok, moved with reach and drive. 2nd Goodwin - Mcfarwins Flashing Lights JW. Yellow girl with feminine head, good eye and pigment. Balanced front and rear with good length of upper arm. Would prefer tighter feet. Moved well 3rd Brandon - Trendlewood Tiger Lilly Open Bitch 7(3) 1st Young - Potterspiney Tickety Boo. Chocolate girl . Slightly broader head but does not detract from her feminine features. Another with that typical and expected soft gentle expression. Strong neck, level topline and correct onset of thick well wrapped, Pete t otter tail. Slight wave to coat, moved well 2nd Minchella - Abbeystead Hope. Black girl, sweet feminine head with lovely soft expressive features, using her ears to advantage. Well sprung rib, good coat and moderate stifle. Balanced outline .
