I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge this lovely friendly and well-run show, on a lovely showground, you should all be pleased with the show you put on for the exhibitors.

Weimaraner
Puppy D/B 1
1st and BP Knight’s Honeysounds Trick or Treat, 6 ½ month old feminine bitch with a sweet head and expression, with correct eye shape and colour, clean cut neck, correct topline, and tail set, nice angels both front and rear, good depth to the chest, nice spring of rib, moved well once settled.

Limit D/B 2
1st Golbourn’s Kallasilya Swan River Daisy, nice female with a nice head and expression, nice eye colour, good reach to her neck, good angles both front and rear, nice depth of chest and good spring to ribs, good topline, and correct tail set, nice muscled second thigh, stood well on nice feet, moved with drive around the ring.
2nd Knight’s Stormdancer Sweet Thing at Honeyshounds, bitch with a sweet head, nice eye colour and shape, firm neck into nice front, nice depth of chest and spring to her ribs, level topline, nice turn to her stifle, nice second thigh, moved well.
Open D/B 3
1st & BOB Upton-Lovett & Upton’s Sh Ch Gunalt Lustrous with Roydack ShCEx, what a cracking bitch and 7 ½ year old, with a cracking outline when stood four square on good feet and bone, the most feminine head and expression with the correct proportions, finished off nicely with the correct eye colour and shape, with nice ear placement, firm strong neck flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, chest well developed and deep, well sprung ribs, ribcage extended well back to a firm short loin, nice tuck-up, firm level top line, and slight correct slope to her croup, then finished nicely with correct tail placement and held well on the move, good turn of stifle and well-muscled second thigh, moved with drive and ease to cover the ground, she was a pleasure to go over. I then awarded her Gundog Adult Group 1 and Best A.V. Gundog Veteran. Then I was thrilled to hear that she eventually went on to win BIS and BVIS.
2nd & RBOB Braine’s Ansona Dream Big JW, 3 ½ upstanding masculine dog with out being overdone in any way, his masculine head and expression was finished nicely with the correct eye shape and ear carriage, firm strong neck flowing into strong masculine shoulders, lovely depth of chest and spring of ribs, firm topline and correct tail placement, which was held firm on the move, nice turn of stifle, and well-muscled second thigh, which he used well to move around the ring.
3rd Knight’s Wallaroo Sweet Caroline
English Setter
Puppy D/B 3
1st BOB & BP Beasley’s Latjeata Jack’s The Lad, this young guy took my eye when he entered the ring, Blue Belton 9 ½ month old, with the most appealing head and expression, with all the correct aspects for this breed and it was just finished of nicely with the correct eye shape and ear placement, lovely long muscular neck with the slight arch at the crest, flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, with a deep chest in brisket, good depth and width between his shoulder blades, strong back with a moderate length, widely sprung ribs and deep in the back rib, loins wide and slightly arched, stifle well bent, well-muscled second thigh, firm topline, correct tail placement and carriage, moved freely around the ring and head held high. I awarded him Gundog Puppy Group 4.
2nd Weller’s Sharnyx Amazing Grace at Juldeane, 7 month old Blue Tri Belton bitch, with a sweet feminine head and expression, lovely eye colour and ear carriage which just finished her head off nicely, good neck flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, nice turn of stifle and well developed second thigh, good topline, and correct tail placement, moved with ease around the ring.
3rd Kerr’s Latjeata Angel Blue
Junior D/B 2 (1ab)
1st Beasley’s Latjeata Cup of Kindness, litter sister to winner of Puppy, Orange Belton, with a feminine head and expression, lovely eye colour shape, and ear carriage, nice flowing neck into well placed shoulders, good depth to her chest and well spring to her ribs, correct topline and tailset, good turn of stifle and second thigh, moved with ease around the ring.

1st & RBOB Beasley’s Wansleydale Mayflower at Latjeata, this bitch is the mother two the winners of the first two classes, Blue Tri Belton bitch, with a correct feminine head and expression that is required for this breed, firm neck flowing nicely into well-constructed front assembly, nice depth of chest and good spring of ribs, firm topline, correct tail placement and carriage, good turn of stifle and well developed second thigh, moved freely around the ring and her head carried correctly.
2nd Wynne-Evans’ Droveborough Blue Pearl, Blue Belton bitch with a sweet head and expression, nice eye and correct colour, nice ear placement, good firm neck flowing into well placed shoulders, nice depth to her chest and spring of ribs, firm topline, good tail placement, nice turn of stifle, moved with ease around the ring.
3rd Whittington’s Culverwell Magic Touch

1st Beasley’s Wansleydale Amaretto at Latjeata, Blue Tri Belton Bitch, with a good head and expression, finished nicely with good ear placement, firm neck flowing well into well placed shoulders, correct angles both front and rear, nice depth to her chest and good spring of rib, moved well with ease around the ring, topline and tail carried well.
2nd Whittington’s Juldeane Line of Duty (AI), Masculine Orange Belton male with a masculine head and expression, but without being overdone at all, good eye colour and ear placement, firm masculine neck flowing into nice shoulders, good depth of chest and spring of ribs, firm topline and correct tail, nice turn of stifle, moved well.
English Spring Spaniels
Puppy D/B 2
1st BOB & BP Walker’s Dexbenella Livin The Dream, liver and white 8 month old male, that had my full attention and gave me that wow feeling, he had to most adorable head and expression, with all the aspects for this breed, medium length to his skull, fairly broad and slightly rounded, nicely chiselled below his eyes, well set eyes with the correct shape and colours, ears correctly placed and carried, good length of neck strong and muscular, flowing nicely into well laid sloping shoulders, strong body, nice chest which is deep and well developed, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and well coupled, moderate bend to stifle thighs broad and muscular, firm topline, and correct tail placement, which was held well, moved with ease and drive around the ring. I awarded him Gundog Adult Group 2 and Gundog Puppy Group 1
2nd Proctors’ Forgespring Nobody’s Fool at Blissenbea, black and white feminine bitch with a sweet feminine head and expression, lovely head and expression, finished nicely with correct eye colour and shape, ears set correctly, nice depth of the chest and nice spring of rib, strong topline kept well on the move, nice turn of stifle and second thigh, moved with ease around the ring.

1st & RBOB Walker’s Dexbenella A Million Dreams, liver and white bitch, littler sister to my puppy winner, she has all the same attributes that he does, but in feminine touches, sweet feminine head and expression, lovely neck flowing into the correct front construction, nice depth of chest, good spring of ribs, firm topline, lovely turn of stifle, moved well.
2nd Harrison & Macbain’s Daenerys Winter Solstice at Fecimus, liver and white bitch with a clean head and expression, nice eye shape and colour, ears carried well, good neck into a nice front, good depth of chest, nice spring of ribs, good angles at the rear, moved with drive around the ring.

1st Proctor’s Petranella Perfick Bliss at Blissenbea, liver and white bitch with a sweet feminine head and expression, good eye colour and shape, and finished nicely with correct ear carriage, firm length of neck flowing nicely into well laid back shoulders, deep chest and well sprung ribs, lion muscular and strong, good turn of stifle with nice well developed second thigh, moved with drive around the ring.
2nd Osbourne’s Tiroen Typically Braego (KCJ), tri bitch with a nice head and expression, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, good depth of the chest and a good spring of ribs, firm topline, nice turn of stifle and well developed second thigh, moved with ease.

1st & Best AVNSC Puppy Poynter, Poynter & Collins-Pitman’s Amscot Angels and Demons (Gordon Setter), 9 ½ month old dog with a smashing head and expression for this breed, just right for his age, but you can tell he is a male, the most intelligent expression with the correct eye shape and colour, and just finished off well with his well carried ears, long lean neck flowing nicely into well laid back shoulders, elbows well let down, deep brisket and well sprung ribs, loins wide and slightly arched, level firm topline, broad rear end, with a nice stifle turn and a developed second thigh, which he used well to move around the ring, firm level topline and correct tail set, which was held well and firm on the move. 2nd Osborn’s Elgert Blackprint (Field Spaniel), well-balanced, noble, upstanding black bitch with a sweet feminine head, well chiselled, with a well defined occiput, moderate stop, muzzle long and lean, correct eye shape and colour, well set low and well feathered ears, long strong muscular neck, flowing into well-constructed front assembly, well developed and deep chest, moderate spring to ribs, with a strong loin, back level and muscular, moderate bend to stifle, nice muscular second thigh, moved with ease around the ring.

1st Macbain & Brewer’s Fecimus Repeat The Rumour (Field Spaniel) liver feminine bitch who is well-balanced and upstanding with a nice outline, lovely head and expression, all what is required for the breed, well chiselled, moderate stop, muzzle long and lean, correct eye shape and colour, good neck into well laid shoulders, nice depth to chest and nice sprung ribs, level topline, good turn of stifle, moved with drive.
2nd Benge’s Wahnahnish St Gilles (Imp NLD) (Clumber Spaniel) Male balanced and well boned, masculine large, square and medium length, broad on the top, nice heavy brows, deep stop, square muzzle with well developed flews, nice clean and correct eye and colour, large vine leaf-shaped ears finishing off his head, thick and powerful neck, into strong shoulders, chest deep, well-sprung ribs which are carried well back, powerful and well developed hindquarters, stifles well bent, moved with drive around the ring.
3rd Mellersh-Tett’s Oakmarsh Land Of Promise of Roguehart (Chesapeake Bay Retriever)

1st & Reserve Best AVNSC Kempen’s Tilly Pearl (German Shorthaired Pointer) lovely feminine with the most appealing head and expression, correct eye colour and shape, nice ear shape and carriage, lovely firm long neck flowing nicely into front construction, good depth of chest and nice spring of ribs, firm topline, nice turn of stifle and well developed second thigh, this bitch had a lovely outline, and moved with ease and drive around the ring. I also awarded this bitch best Gundog Reserve Best of Breed.
2nd Crisp’s Happysoul What A Feeling with Genavieve (Imp SWE) (American Cocker Spaniel) lovely bitch with a smashing feminine head and expression, lovely defined eyebrows and stop, muzzle broad and deep, correct eye colour and shape, correct ear carriage, long neck flowing into well placed shoulders, firm topline, with the correct slope to tail set , nice depth of chest, nice spring to ribs, nice turn of stifle, moved well around the ring.
3rd Smart & Wilde’s Tuptonsett One Vision (German Shorthaired Pointer)

1st & Best AVSNC Osborn’s Sh Ch Elgert Private Dancer (Field Spaniel) lovely liver bitch, well-balanced and upstanding, a very pleasing head and expression, well chiselled, with a nice defined occiput, moderate stop and nice slightly raised eyebrows, correct eye colour and shape, and finished of nicely with well feathered ears set low, long strong muscular neck flowing nicely into well laid shoulders, lovely depth of chest, moderate spring to her ribs, back and loins strong, level topline and correct tail set and carriage, moderate turn of stifle, and well developed second thigh, moved with drive around the ring.
2nd Poynter’s Hernwood Copper King (Gordon Setter) masculine male, without being overdone in anyway, correct eye colour, shape and attributes for this breed, good length of neck flowing well into well laid back shoulders, good depth of chest, well sprung ribs, and deep brisket, well turned stifle with a good developed second thigh, strong topline and correct tail set, which was held well while he moved around the ring with drive and ease.

Imported Breed Register Boughton’s Parkbalk Ariel Dianell Avec Brwynstep (Braque D’Auvergne) lovely bitch with a feminine head and expression, with a nice eye colour and shape, long neck, well set and slightly arched, strong shoulders and well-muscled, good depth of chest, topline straight and level, well angulated rear end, well-muscled thighs, moved with ease around the ring.

1st Peters’ Bluesprings Love Of My Life for Shirlilah (Irish Setter) lovely bitch with a sweet feminine head and expression, long and lean, nice oval skull, moderate depth to her muzzle, correct eye colour and shape, ears set low on well back and hanging close to head, moderate length of neck, slightly arched, flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, chest deep, well sprung ribs, muscular loin, firm straight topline gently sloping down from withers, nice turn of stifle, and well-developed second thigh, topline and tail set kept well on the move, moved with ease around the ring.
2nd Harris’s Winsleywood Wilfred (Labrador Retriever) smashing example of the breed and looking correct for his age, smashing head, lovely stop, and well developed muzzle, correct eye colour and shape, and his ears just finished of his melting expression, good reach of neck which just flowed with ease into well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, nice turn of stifle and well-developed second thigh, firm strong level topline and correct tail placement, this young dog moved well once he had settled down, but you could still see what correct movement he had.

1st Abrahams’ Fivenineplus Azahara by Adormidera (Spanish Water Dog) I judged this bitch as a puppy in December 2024 and I have to say apart from maturing nicely I have nothing more to say, so this is my previous critique about her, robust medium sized black bitch with a small white spot on her chest, a feminine head to die for, strong and elegant with parallel planes of the skull and muzzle, length of skull slightly longer than her muzzle, medium sized dark oval eyes, dropped v-shaped slightly rounded at the tip ears, finishing of her lovely head, short muscular neck set well into her shoulders, forequarters of good angulation of shoulder and upper arm, level back her withers slightly higher than the level of the back, nice deep chest and well sprung ribs, moderate turn of stifle well-muscled thighs, brisk, sound and athletic, with powerful drive.
2nd Phipps-Baker & Baker’s Maddouse must Be Trouble (Golden Retriever) lovely feminine head and expression, with a lovely eye colour and shape, finished of nicely with correct ear shape and carriage, lovely length of neck flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, nice depth of chest and good spring to her ribs, level top line and correct tail placement, good turn of stifle, and good second thigh, moved with drive around the ring.
3rd Kempen’s Tilly Pearl (German Shorthaired Pointer)

2nd Wright’s La Scales Berlin with Chazbaz (IMP Hun) (Cocker Spaniel) Black masculine dog with a lovely masculine head and expression, nice eye colour and shape, nice and correct ear placement, good neck into well placed shoulders, deep chest, and good spring to his ribs, good turn of stifle, and well developed second thigh, moved with drive around the ring.

2nd Poynter & Lewis’s Sh Ch Quensha Cowboys And Angels (English Setter) Orange Belton Masculine dog without being done in anyway, I have watched this man from an early age, and this was the first time I had the pleasure to go over him, he has the most pleasing head and expression, with the correct eye shape, and ear placement, good length of neck flowing nicely into well placed shoulders, good depth to his chest, and nice spring of ribs, firm level topline and correct tail placement, good turn of stifle and well developed second thigh, he moved with such ease around the ring, sadly he came up against the winner today so had to stand second to her.
