Humberside Hound Association

Breed: Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit)

P (1). 1. Fairhurst’s Erylan Fleur. BP. A pretty well balanced head with a kind eye and correctly set ear, creating that typical expression. Good spring of rib with a good loin. Front feet need to tighten up as a bit 10 to 2 when stacked. Pulled herself together on the move with correct tail carriage. In good coat and condition with correct texture.

PG (2).

1. Fairhurst & McAulay’s Erylan Passiflore. I preferred the balance and head as I felt it more typical. In good coat and correct texture. Pretty feminine head, correct ear set. Good spring of rib with a strong loin leading into a well angulated rear. Correct topline and tail carriage on the move. Would like straighter forearm in front a little out of elbow.

2. Fairhurst’s Valefell Savannah Journey. A little more heavier in head and a strong back skull. Would like a better lay of shoulders a little upright and this affects the front construction. Good string of rib and loin, moderate rear construction. In good coat and condition. Moved off well.

L (2)

1. Bartley’s Erylan Posseidon De La Mer JW. RBOB. Full of petit character. Good front movement with good bone and feet. Well made behind with good rear angulation. Well ribbed back and good depth of brisket into a well laid shoulder. Masculine head and expression. Moved well with correct tailset and carriage.

2. Fairhurst’s Valefall Monnlight Tides. Good bone and feet, well ribbed back and loin, reasonable rear angulation. Bit short in proportions and pulled into her front on the move.

O (2)

1. Bartley’s Erylan Zeus Roi Des Dieux ShCEx. BOB. I preferred him through his neck and shoulder, cleaner. Well ribbed with correct depth of brisket and strong loin. Good bone and feet, moved well both ways with correct topline and tail carriage. More balance than the rest.

2. Bartley’s Erylan Loki Maitre Du Mal VW. Rather heavy across his shoulders and not as clean as 1st. Good bone and feet. Well ribbed and good loin. Little sickle hocked on the move away from you. Good tail carriage, masculine head and expression.
