Colne Nelson & District Canine Society

Airedale Terrier

P (1) Austin’s Sheilmarh Janus Jazz. BP. Very immature at the moment. Clean front construction with good bone and feet. Good depth of brisket to the elbow and tight elbow. Well made behind with a well let down hock. Super harsh coat and well presented. The head need to refine for me at this time. L (1). Fernhead’s Settlebeck Royal Flush JW. Shown in super condition and well muscled. Good head piece and well set on ear being of a good shape and size. Alert expression and keen eye. Good level topline and well set on tail with a rump behind it. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib with a strong arched loin. Good rear construction with correct bend of stifle. Movement away was a little close. Would also like a better return of upper arm. O (1). Callon & Callon-Winn’s Ch Russtam Jax The Gentleman.BOB. A very smart quality dog. Masculine head with a good length, well set almond eye with we set on ears with an alert and keen expression and attitude. Flows through from his neck into a strong level topline with a nick short back and well set on tail. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib. Well boned and correct feet. Moved well both ways.

Fox Terrier Wire

P (2). 1. Roulston’s Dark Prince Of IvyJewel. For 9 months a super make and shape. Flows through from the crest of his neck through to his well set on tail, with a rump behind it. Good length to the head with an alert eye and well set on ears. Well bodied for his age and correct bone and feet. Moved well both ways.Presentation in top order with super harsh coat texture. 2. Bannister’s Gwilhanelden Ziggy Pawdust. Not quite the refined head of 1st. Good depth of brisket and a good forehand, correct topline and well set on tail. Good rear angles and moved well enough. J (1). Bannister’s Gwilhanelden Ziggy Pawdust. O(3,1). 1. Roulston’s Kentwone Boston To IvyJewel. BOB. A very smart boy who just loves to show himself to best advantage, good mover both ways and keeps a balanced picture in profile movement. Excellent topline and tailset, support by a good spring of ribs and depth of brisket, strong short loin, and well made behind. Super long head with eye and well set on ear. Well presented with good harsh coat and well furnished. 2. Rices Oh La Kamee Nickers At Duchmorn. Didn’t enjoy the wind blowing up and unsettled her. A well made, mature bitch with plenty of substance, level topline with well set on tail. Well let down behind with good rear angles. Good long head with an almond eye and well set on ear. Just didn’t want to use them with the wind blowing. Well presented with correct coat texture. 

Glen Of Imaal Terrier

J (2). 1. Saletti’s Jojase Blarney Magic Blue. Masculine broad head with correctly set on ear, well bodied for a youngster with a good spring of rib, wide front with slight bow to the front. Slightly rising topline. Moved away with some drive, good harsh coat texture. 2. Saletti’s Jojase Bridie True Blue. Feminine bitch with a pleasing head. Not quite the substance proportionally, compared to 1st. Good coat and texture. Moved well enough. Correct rising topline.a feminine bitch with a good broad skull and correct eye and ear placement. Plenty of substance with correct spring of rib and full in the loin. Well bone and correct feet. Moved feeely both ways. BOB. L (2). Saletti’s Jojase Aisling Pixie. 2. Saletti’s Jojase Blarney Magic Blue.

Irish Terrier.

P (2,1). Connell’s Sonorra Enter The Dragon. A really nice but raw youngster. Well made and balanced a quality puppy with a good depth of brisket and straight forearm, good lay of shoulder. Moved well both ways. Presented well, with a good rich colour and correct harsh texture. BP O (2,1). Connell’s Ch Sonorra The Godfather. BOB. A lovely head piece with the best of ear and typical sharp Irish expression. Mature, well balanced make and shape and a quality dog well deserving of his title. Good bone and tight feet, depth of brisket and strong topline well set on tail and some rump behind it. Well let down with moderate bend of stifle. Presented in to top order with a lovely deep colour and coat texture. Super mover both ways and was glad to hear he went BIS after winning the terrier group.

Kerry Blue Terrier

L (1). Wilkinson’s Cyane River At Cranmoss. BOB. Smart bitch with a good length of head we’ll set on ear and nice expressive eye, keen and alert. Strong level topline with well set on tail. Good depth of brisket and well arched loin. Well let down behind. Coat and colour are good and well presented.

Scottish Terrier

P (1). Pendlebury’s Pamaswater Eros At Kamondale. BOB, BP. Long head with a strong muzzle. Ears could be a little neater. Correct topline and barrelled rib. Moved with some drive before putting the brakes on. Correct coat.

Sealyham Terrier

P (2). 1. Hampson’s Kamryan Meraviglioso Mario.BP. A raw youngster with potential. In good coat and correct texture. Masculine head well balanced. Correct set ear hanging close to the cheek. Good neck and spring of rib, short back and good let down behind. 2. Salmon’s Seasmolt Raspberry Ruffle. Not quite as mature as 1st. Well bodied and plenty of substance, moved well enough both ways. Harsh coat texture. Well proportioned body. J (3). 1. Hampson’s Kamryan Meraviglioso Mario. 2. Salmon’s Obi Wan Kenobi Of Kindergarden At Seasmolt (Imp Hun).an immature junior who needs to drop into himself. Well proportioned head and good eye. Well set on tail and moved well enough away. 3. Salmon’s Seasmolt Raspberry Ruffle.O (1). Hampson’s Saore On A Sunrise High (Imp Ita). BOB. A maturer girl, with a good feminine head and ear. Well made front with good bone and feet, well sprung rib and well back. Level topline and well set on tail. Moved well and won on maturity.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

O (1). Bradford’s & Hobson’s Azydeco Abiqua Wild Dernier Paradis (Imp USA).BOB. An eye catching bitch who moved well and kept a balanced picture on the move and a good topline. Well balanced head with well set ear and strong muzzle, dark nose pigment. Good spring of rib and well laid shoulder. In good coat and condition and well presented.

West Highland White Terrier

J (1). Lynskey’s Brynmeurig Curious Rosina Of Salwesties. Pretty headed bitch with a good erect ear and used them to best advantage. Straight forearm with a good spring of rib, short back. Moved well enough on grass. Presentation was ok would benefit from a sharper trim.

AV Terrier

Veteran(3)

1. Winnings Colours At Duchmorn. WFT. Smart for age at 10.5 years. Didn’t half know how to move and would put a lot of youngsters to shame. Good long head with well set on ears. Clean forehand with good lay of shoulders. Correct ribbing and short back into a well made rear with good rear angulation.

2. Int/Sw/Fin/Est Ch Red Lucifer At Bonosue Vw (Re Imp). Irish T. A well made honest dog, with a good topline and well set on tail. Good rich red colour and good coat and condition. Sound mover.

Special Beginner (5,1)

1. Holly herd Platinum Jubilee. Border T. typical head and expression clean forehand with good bone and feet. Correct topline and tailset and carriage on the move, super harsh coat and in good condition. With racy hindquarters, moved well

2. Holtaire Runa. Manchester T. Not liking the wind today. Clean front and depth of brisket, correct coat colour and markings. In super condition, real gleam to the coat. Super wedge shaped head with good underjaw. Good eye and well set ears.
