JUDGE – JULIA BATEMAN (CORMALLEN)

I would like to thank all the exhibitors for their superbly turned out dogs and I would also like to thank the committee for the invitation and making the show such a friendly one! Thanks also go to my steward for her efficient organisation. Overall the quality of the dogs was very good. I would say that I found it disconcerting that so many of the dogs have tails which were flagging above their top lines. The breed standard states – (Tail) “Well set on and low, never carried above level of back. Lively in action.” Now that the tails are not docked a note to breeders and owners to ensure that the set of the tail should be considered. I was however very pleased with all my winners and my final line ups.
