The Lowchen (Little Lion Dog) Club Open Show (Special Award Classes)

Thank you to the society for asking me to judge the Special Award Classes (SAC) at their club open show. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me to judge their dogs and to everyone for being so welcoming in the breed.

Special Junior (3,0)

1st Morgan-Stanley’s - Golbourne Cherish The Love

11 months old bitch puppy, smaller in frame and very pretty. The skull is almost flat between the ears with good muzzle and well defined stop with correct bite. Also there was lovely dark pigmentation to round eyes and nose. Straight forelegs with round bone, good neck and body developing well. Muscled hind legs with no exaggeration. On the move she won the class, free parallel movement, tail arched over the back. Showing herself off well, a very happy lively puppy.

2nd Winter’s - Prodigieux Amazing Amber

11 months old bitch puppy. Lovely shape and very feminine. Good skull, broad and strong. Large round eye, brown pigmentation to nose and eye rims. Ears framing the face, scissor bite and correct dentition. Good neck, level back, body developing well overall. Muscled hind legs, good turn of stifle. Just today on the move she was not liking the flooring and thus lacking confidence. I am sure on another day her confidence and character will shine! Lots to like.

1st Morgan-Stanley’s - Golbourne’s Toy Boy

11 months old male puppy, larger in stature but wow lots to like. Lovely skull, accompanied with breadth, width and depth. Ears framing the face, strong muzzle of correct proportions. Large dark round eye and black nose. Correct scissor bite dentition. Good amount of neck, held proudly. Shoulders well laid, level top line, accompanied by arched tail with only the plume touching the back. Good amount of bone, straight forelegs, good tuck up and muscled hind legs. Great turn of stifle. On the move, he was free and parallel and covered the ground well. In lovely coat and condition… what an image he makes. Really draws your eye to him.

2nd Pascoe’s -Cleeview End Result

3 year old bitch, larger in stature. Good broad head, great large round dark eyes, strong muzzle and scissor bite. Well bodied, good spring of rib, deep brisket, good tuck up, straight forelegs of strong round bone. In good, fairly long coat with slight wave. Moved well to and fro, covering the ground well. Loved her lively and happy character.

1st Pascoe’s - Ch/Int/Multi Ch Jadechar Flashback Hero

6 year old male. A finished product, very masculine and full of substance. His skull and head are of the right shape and proportions. Great width and depth to skull with strong muzzle and correct stop and dentition. His eyes really draw you in, they are large ,dark and round with unbroken pigmentation. His nose is black; and his ears frame the face and have great fringing. He has a level back, great spring of rib, correctly set tail and held proudly arched over the back with just the plume touching the back. Well-muscled hind quarters, good turn of stifle. Gorgeous coat and condition. He moved well today, parallel to and fro, accompanied with his confident and happy, friendly character.

2nd Bicknell/Marron’s - Charles Noblesa Aura (Imp Cze)

4 year old male, another masculine type. Good head and skull with the required broadness. Good stop, good length of muzzle and correct dentition. Large dark eyes, unbroken pigmentation and black nose. Correctly set and shape of ears, with fringing. Level back, spring of rib and good tuck up. Good tail set, set slightly below top line, of medium length held proudly with just the plume touching the back. Enough bone throughout, straight forelegs and muscled hind quarters. Moved well today.
