Firstly a thank you to the society for inviting me to judge a variety of Toy breeds and to all exhibitors who had entered. I really enjoyed my day of judging, the atmosphere at the show was brilliant. Thank you also goes to both of my stewards for keeping the ring organised and flowing throughout the day.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:

Puppy (3,1)

1st: Lee’s, Korraines Manhattan For Kelrick

Well marked tri bitch, 6.5 months old, Correct skull, high set ears and with a correct scissor bite. Large dark eyes. Good reach of neck, sloping into well laid shoulders. Moderate chest with straight legs. Good spring of rib, enough bone throughout. Moderate angulations to hindquarters, moved out with reach and drive, which won her the class.

2nd: Grahams, Aidanmoss Bright Eyes;

Another tri bitch, this time 7 months old. Another puppy with similar attributes to 1st. Pleasing head with large dark eye. Correct scissor bite and muzzle well tapered. High set ears with furnishings developing. Nice reach of neck and maturing well throughout body, compact. Moderate angulations, nothing exaggerated. Also with active forward movement when settled. These two puppies could swap places on another day.

Junior (4,2)

1st Lee’s Kelrick Flower Power

9 months old, Blenheim bitch. Well marked, compact but still young and developing. Large dark eyes, correct skull with high set ears, correct bite and lips well developed. Straight front legs with enough bone, nice reach of neck and well laid shoulder. Needs time to body up, but has a level topline which was held on the move, a very happy and affectionate puppy. BPIB

2nd Williams, Jenrito Winter Obsession

14 months Blenheim dog, unsettled today. Pleasing head, dark round eye, almost flat skull between the ears. High ear set with feathering. Correct bite, well developed lips and well filled under eye. Level topline, unsettled on the move but when settled had active movement and held a level topline. Moderate angulations from hind quarters.

1st Chapman’s Thekop’s Princess Rose Daltonian

2yo ruby bitch, large dark round eye, high set ears with feathering and well tapered muzzle of appropriate length, accompanied by a correct scissor bite. Dark rich ruby in colour with enough feathering throughout. Compact body and level back, which was held on the move. Straight forelegs of medium bone. Moderate angulations to hind quarters and compact and well feathered feet.

2nd Leaver’s Revaelann Nik Nak Paddy Wak

5 year old well marked blenhiem, more mature masculine dog. Skull almost flat with high set ears with plenty of feathering. Large dark eye and scissor bite. Medium neck, straight forelegs of medium bone and compact feathered feet. Good spring of rib, level back and moderate angulations to hind quarters.

3rd Graham’s Aidanmoss Bella

1st Chapman’s Eikandi Amaretto At Daltonian

3 year old Ruby bitch. On first glance, I liked her proportions, she is a compact feminine bitch, never stopped showing. Skull almost flat between the ears, large dark eyes correct length of muzzle, lips well developed and correct scissor bite. Nice length of neck, tight elbows, good spring of rib, level back and short coupled. Tail was a continuation of the body, set and carried correctly. Dark rich red, silky coat and well feathered. Free moving, active and parallel on the move. Best of Breed

2nd Leaver’s Ravaelann Scrumptious

4 year old well marked Blenheim bitch. A nice type, feminine and also compact. Sweet expression and dark eye. Scissor bite and profuse feathering to ears. Medium reach of neck, straight forelegs and compact feet, which were well feathered. Good spring of rib and level topline. Correct tail set and moderate angulations. Movement was free and active. Reserve Best of Breed

1st Botterill’s Runa Queen Malverne Of Muddiwarx (Imp CZE)

2 year old hairless bitch. Nice temperament. Correct skull proportions, slightly rounded and elongated skull, no excess wrinkle, lean cheeks tapering into muzzle. Crest began at stop and tapered down the neck. Correct bite. Medium, dark eyes. Large ears with fringing, carried erect when alert. Medium neck into well laid shoulder, medium boned straight forelegs, with fringing to feet. Chest broad and deep. Brisket down to elbow, moderate tuck up. Won the class on overall movement, with reach and drive. Best of Breed.

2nd Larina-Sekreta’s Nocturne Gambitas By Lavieest JW (Imp LTU)

2 year old hairless dog, draws your eye to him. Large dark eyes, full of expression. Brown nose, correct bite. Medium neck, shoulders narrow. Slightly longer than medium in length, rump rounded and muscular, level back on the move. Reserve Best Of Breed.

1st Lister’s Florita Turbolento

7 months old dog. From first view, you can see he is a lovely shape, a series of curves. Correct skull, long flat and narrow with slight stop, leading to dark nose. Lovely dark eye, bright and full of expression. Correct ears, rose shaped, soft and fine. Correct full scissor bite. A graceful long neck, flowing into long and sloping shoulders, straight forelegs of fine bone and correct hare feet. Chest is deep and narrow, brisket deep, back arched over loin leading into a low set tail. Well bent stifle and hocks well let down. Coat short and glossy. Overall won the class with beautiful movement. BOB, BP, G1, PG1, BPIS

2nd Lister’s Florita Tesoruccio

7 months old bitch, litter sister to 1st. Very similar attributes to one but this time very feminine. I loved her dark eyes, full of expression. Fine boned, narrow and correct proportions throughout. Just preferred the overall movement of 1st. RBOB

1st Crane’s Cranvarl Eliza Doolittle

14 months old, red and white bitch. Skull moderately broad, nose large of appropriate lighter colour. Muzzle short, wide and well cushioned with level jaw. Eyes are large, dark and set wide apart with small amount of white to inner corners. Cobby in body, straight forelegs of strong bone, level back and tail carried over the back when alert. Showed straight and active movement when settled. Reserve Best of Breed.

1st Tong’s Cranvarl The Red King At Jakconas

2 year old, red and white dog. Nice skull, rounded in front, short muzzle, wide and well cushioned and level jaw. Large dark eye with white to inner eye giving the breed characteristic look of astonishment. Neck carried proudly, strong fine boned forelegs in which are straight, accompanied with feathered hare foot. Body square, level back. Straight, elegant movement. Best of Breed.

2 year old, dark red bitch, high spirited, alert and active. Skull narrow and elongated, nose black, ears high set and erect. Eyes dark and full of expression and glistening. Correct full scissor bite. Medium neck, sloping into shoulders. Level back and straight forelegs of medium bone. Well sprung rib and moderate tuck up. Moderate angulations to hind quarters. Moved parallel and active with drive. Best Of Breed.

1st Norman’s Alexiasdream Barbie Girl

8 months old bitch. Vivacious, dainty and sassy attitude, very feminine. Very much an extrovert. Head and nose foxy in outline, free from lipiness. Eyes medium size and full of expression. Correct scissor bite, small ears carried erect. Short neck, back short and overall compact. Fine boned forequarters and hindquarters, medium angulations. Feet small and compact, tail set high. Won the class on movement and foxiness of head outline. Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed and Toy Puppy Group 4

2nd Charlton’s Alexisadream Lord Colby

8 months old dog puppy, masculine, full of puppy coat. Another with a lot to like. Lovely dark glistening eyes, correct scissor bite and free from lipiness. Cobby, level back, straight forelegs and moderate angulations to hindquarters. Moved parallel and active.

11 months old, dog puppy. Lovely coat, soft undercoat and harsher outer coat. Dark, glistening eyes showing off expression, small erect ears. Complete scissor bite. Short neck, well laid shoulder, compact and cobby, level back and high set tail. Fine boned and small compact cat feet. Reserve Best of Breed.

11 months old bitch puppy. A nice shape with happy and lively temperament. Rounded skull with blunt short muzzle, black nose and well defined face wrinkles. Eyes large, round, dark, alert. Thin leathered button ear. Strong, thick neck, well laid shoulder, level back and high set tail with curl. Short glossy coat. Nice reach on the move, parallel. Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Best of Breed

1st Cannon & Burroughs Flashnik Sweet Talkin Guy

16 months old male. Masculine, full of attitude. Rounded head, muzzle short and square. Nose black, with well opened nostrils. Eyes are large, dark and lustrous, with no white of eye. High set button ear. Thick neck, strong straight forelegs, broad chest, well sprung rib and level back. High set tail carried correctly. Won the class on movement, nice reach and drive. Best of Breed and Toy Adult Group 2.

2nd Cannon & Burroughs Flashnik Fenella Fellorick

16 month old bitch, litter sister to one. Very similar qualities to 1st. This time very feminine, draws the eye to her in a line up. Nice head, large dark eyes, short square muzzle. Cobby, compact, nice bone, high set tail with curl. Level back. Nice movement.

3rd Lunam’s Anzhela Scent Jude

19 months old bitch. Rounded head, clearly defined facial wrinkles, large black nose, short blunt muzzle.Large, dark round eyes, full of expression. Level back, wide chest, strong medium boned straight forelegs, good spring of rib. Cobby of good substance. High set tail with twist. Purposeful movement, to and fro.

2nd Edwards Limetta Millsweet

3 year old bitch. Rounded skull, large dark round eyes. Short blunt muzzle, black nose, well opened nostrils. High set button ears. Defined facial wrinkle. Medium neck, good spring of rib, thick set, cobby and compact dog with high set tail.

1st Mcalenys Cedilla On The Road At Macmoore JW

2 year old male. Masculine throughout. Nice rounded skull, dark large eyes, good pigment. Nice reach of neck, straight front, good bone, level top line, good spring of rib, high set tail, carried tightly with curl. Moved well to and fro with typical gait.
