Three Counties Pekingese and Cavalier Society 18.10.25

Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge this Toy breeds show. The day itself was lovely with a great atmosphere. Thank you to the exhibitors for bringing their dogs and to both stewards (Megan and Ann) for your help organising the ring.

1st- Morley & Hitchcock’s CH Baldragon Dream Chaser At Lizlanmor JW

Just under 2 year old male. A quality dog who I have judged previously and again today he did not disappoint. He has a lovely head with large dark round eyes full of expression. This is accompanied with the correct cushioned cheeks, short nose and defined stop. Good strong bone, deep chest, level top line and good tail set in which he held well on the move, as a continuation of the back. Good angulations to hind quarters. His well laid shoulders allow him to move very well, parallel, foot perfect with reach and drive. Shown in lovely coat. BOB

1st Bowles & Wallhead’s Baldragon Dippity Do Dah

3 year old tri colour bitch, with lots to like. On first glance, you can see she is full of substance and very typey. Large domed head accompanied with large round dark eyes. Short nose with good turn up and defined stop. Cushioned head throughout. Enough neck, well laid shoulder and good spring of rib. Deep chest and slightly longer in loin. Moderate angulations to hind quarters. Unsettled at times on the move today but can see she is sound and when settled moves well. RBOB

1st - Parkers – Doonbeg Mahogany Magic At Khatira

16 month old hairless male with dark pigment throughout. Dark eyes, black nose, correct scissor bite. Slight stop, with crest beginning here tapering down the neck. Slightly rounded skull, elongated without wrinkles. Large erect ears with fringing. Good amount of neck, Level top line leading to high set tail. Brisket down to elbow. Straight forelegs of strong bone. Moderate angulations to hind quarters. Skin fine grained and warm to touch. He is well muscled and moves well parallel with reach and drive. Just needs a bit more confidence. RBOB

1st – Parkers – Ynchreenoo Jinny The Witch Among Khatira

3 year old hairless Bitch. Scores for femininity, size and type. Smaller in frame, slightly rounded head and elongated skull without excess wrinkle. Lovely soft skin and shown in great condition. Darkest of eyes, full of expression and black nose. Correct scissor bite. Well set ears of large size, held erect with plenty of fringing. Slight stop with crest beginning at stop and tapering down the neck. Good neck, shoulders and level top line. Brisket down to the elbow. Good bone and moderate tuck up. Scores on well rounded muscled rump and angulations to hind quarters. Another sound on the move and extending but just needs that extra bit of confidence.

2nd – Hills – Penemunde Asia

3 year old hairless male. He is balanced and has substance. Similar attributes apply with dark sparkling eyes and black prominent nose. Correct scissor bite. Rounded skull, uses his fringed ears at all times. Very alert and confident. He has a lovely long and sloping neck and level top line. Deep brisket down to the elbow but preferred tuck up of 1. Correct hare feet. Good angulations behind. He moved well, despite the slippy flooring and small ring size. Just preferred the type of 1.

1st Parkers – CH Riveralca Tulla At Khatira JW

2 year old powder puff feminine bitch who entered the ring with such a presence about her. Happy and alert temperament. Loved her proportions throughout. Chiselled cheeks, tapered into the muzzle. Tight lips. Scissor bite. Super dark eyes, sparkling. Slight stop. Good neck, well laid shoulder and level top line. Deep chest, good tuck up and angulations throughout. Her movement is effortless, positive action with reach and drive with tail held up when moving. What a show girl, was not surprised to see she is a champion. BOB
