1st Gottlieb’s Russetmantle Lilou

This elegant, eye-catching bitch won the class on her impeccable movement and pleasing shape. Good colour, and shown in peak condition - gorgeous shine on her coat with correct slightly greasy feel. Intelligent and lively expression, dark, oval eye and correct ear shape and set. Clean neck flows into well laid shoulders, good forechest, tidy elbows, poker-straight, strong pasterns, descending to superb, cat-like feet with short nails. Excellent topline, maintained on the move, balanced and moderate angulation front and rear, allowing for effortless and driving action. Tail set and carriage spot on. I would like a little more of her size-wise, although everything was nicely in proportion.

2nd Adams’ Vizash Elenk at Jamzco

Another eye-catcher, this girl was of a larger bone structure, built to work, but still elegant, typy, and stylish. Excellent, classic head, with moderate stop, correct width of skull, squared off muzzle, dark eye, and kind and intelligent expression. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, nice topline. Correct spring of rib and depth of chest, with just the right tuck-up in profile. Muscular loin and croup, with balanced and moderate angulation fore and aft. Good second thigh. Correct tail set and carriage. Good colour. Pasterns a little slack today. Superbly handled. Commanding ring presence. Clearly knew her job.

1st Challis’ Vizslanya Praxis

Feminine from nose to tail, this outstanding bitch marries robustness with elegance in just the right measures. Pretty head, moderate stop, correct ear set, dark eye, tight lids, with a kind and gentle expression so typical of this lovely breed. Correct length of muzzle in relation to skull, clean flews, but muzzle could be a trifle more squared off. Clean, well-muscled and slightly arched neck flows into good withers, excellent shoulders and tight elbows. Straight pasterns viewed from front, and neat, cat-like feet. For me, the angulation on this bitch is ideal - not too much, not too little. Lively, active and driving on the move, maintaining her firm, correct topline. Viewed in profile, she presented the shape I was looking for, with just the right depth of chest, length of loin, and defined and smooth but not exaggerated tuckup. Good colour and muscular conditioning with strong second thigh apparent. Confidently handled. Delighted to give her BOB today and was pleased to see her later shortlisted in the group.

2nd Gottlieb’s Russetmantle Maya

Noble, lean head, correct breadth of skull, moderate stop, dark, oval eye, with a wise, kind, and old-soul expression, correctly squared off muzzle, clean flews. Correct low ear set with rounded V shape held close to cheeks. This traditional girl is sturdy and well-boned, fit for purpose, but without a hint of coarseness. Strong, slightly arched neck, leading into good withers, well laid shoulders and tight elbows, good feet, strong and short nails. Good breadth of forechest and defined prosternum with nice spring of rib for good lung capacity. Tidy, true, and purposeful on the move. Would prefer a tiny bit more angulation behind and greater definition of second thigh. Good straight hocks viewed from behind. Correct set on of docked tail which was carried correctly on the move. Another superb bitch who could have traded places with the BOB on another day but didn’t quite give it her all today, dropping her topline a trifle on the stack.
