Saturday 19th April

Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to Judge at their Open Show. I had a very enjoyable day with some lovely Exhibits to judge.

Basset Griffon Vendeen Grand

Puppy 3/0ab

1st Collier, Mrs k. Jayanel Alfabeti Spageti. 8month old quality dog . Well balanced for age, good domed head with good dark eye and low set ears. Correct bite with a strong jaw, good length of neck going into well laid shoulders. Good straight front with plenty of bone and nice feet. Good deep chest, topline level which he held on the move, nice hindquarters and a moderate bend of stifle. Good rough coat, Moved well with good rear drive. BOB BPIB

2nd O’day, Miss A. Rocky Succession Of Baron At Madifrey (imp pol). 10month old dog another quality exhibit for age lovely head and expression, Good dark large eye. Nice square muzzle and strong jaw, nice length of neck good front with nice large feet. Good deep chest with plenty of rib, nice level topline and good hindquarters and a high set tail. Moved well just preferred movement of 1st

1st Weymouth, Mrs A. Soufriere Tourbillon At Woolybassets. 3 year old bitch. Nice head with good eye and a strong jaw, correct low ear set. Good length of neck going into clean shoulders with good front and nice feet. Good depth for chest, topline ok and hindquarters good, rear angulation a little more than I’d like and moved a little close behind.

1st Marshall, Mrs S. Soufriere Paserelle Bateau. 3 year old dog of nice type good head with large dark eye. Correct square muzzle with correct bite. Nice straight front with nice feet, chest deep and plenty of rib. Good topline with a nice muscled hindquarters and moderate bend of stifle, nice rough coat. Nice profile movement, RBOB

Nice strong jaw, good length of neck going into well laid shoulders good front nice depth of chest and well ribbed good topline and a strong short loin. Hindquarters well muscled and a good second thigh good rear angulation moved well. RBOB

1st Skerritt & Betts, Mrs L C & Mrs J. Beaujons Vagabond Of Monkhams. 7 year old dog of good quality and well proportions. Good head with a pleasing dark eye, ear set low and a good strong jaw, lovely length of neck going into clean well laid shoulders. Good front with nice feet, chest deep and plenty of rib and a good topline with strong hindquarters. Nice bend of stifle. Moved well with good reach and good drive. BOB

2nd Wood, Mr S R & Mrs L. Beaujons Leading Lady JW. 3 year old bitch, nice head and good eye, good strong jaw and correct bite. Nice length of neck going into well laid shoulders, good front with nice feet. Good deep chest and ok topline,hindquarters good with nice muscled second thigh. A little longer in body than I’d like, moved well.

Nice long neck going into clean sloping shoulders and good front, nice broad feet. Good deep chest with a prominent breast bone, well ribbed with good topline and strong hindquarters. Nice long muscled neck going into well sloped shoulders. Good front with nice feet, good deep chest and plenty of rib. Good underline and nice topline with a short muscled loin. Hindquarters good and muscled with good rear angulation moved well with good drive BOB.

1st Hawdon, Miss G. Lokmadi Charles Dance. 14month old dog, good head pleasing dark eye and correct ear set. Nice strong jaw and a good length of neck going into clean sloping shoulders. Good front with nice full feet, good deep chest with a good prominent breast bone. Elbows laid close to ribcage, good underline giving plenty of ground clearance and a nice topline. Nice short loin and a good muscled hindquarters, good rear angulation moved well with good drive coming and going BOB.

1st Casey, Mrs L. Cootscanis Star At Eversden. 1 year old bitch, nice head good dark almond eye. Correct bite, good length of neck going into ok shoulders. Good front with nice feet, good chest with plenty of rib underline ok giving enough ground clearance. Topline ok would like a touch more muscle on hindquarters. Moved a little close at the rear. Nice long muscled neck going into well sloped shoulders. Good front with good broad feet, nice deep chest with a prominent breast bone. Well ribbed, plenty of ground clearance and a good topline, nice short loin good broad hindquarter and good rear angulation and a nice harsh coat.moved free with good drive RBOB.

2nd Beagrie, Mrs A J &.Mr A. Feldund Moonlight JW. Litter brother to 1st, good head nice dark eye and a strong jaw. Good ear set, good length of neck going into clean shoulders, good front with nice feet. Good deep chest and plenty of rib. Good ground clearance and a nice topline with a short loin, hindquarters well muscled and good rear angulation. Moved well just preferred his sisters rear drive.

2nd Tomsett & Bruty, Mrs S & Mrs G. Dajean Kristar. 3 year old bitch, good head pleasing eye and a strong jaw. Nice length of neck going into good shoulders, front ok. Good underline and well ribbed topline ok, good strong hindquarters and ok rear angulation .Good movement.

1st Grant, Mrs P. Granhoward Patience. 2 ½ year old bitch good size with a nice head and a pleasing eye. Good strong jaw, good length of neck and good shoulder placement. Nice front with a good chest and well ribbed good topline. With good ground clearance, nice hindquarters with good angulation. Moved well with good drive BOB.

2nd Ward-Blower, Mrs C. Whitewebbs Jonny Be Good At Willowmist. 5 year old dog nice head and ear set, good eye shape and nice strong jaw. Good muscled neck with nice shoulders, front ok chest ok. Good ground clearance nice topline and nice hindquarters good rear angulation. Moved well

1st Thomas, Ms M. Bowdonia Elphaba. 6month old bitch of nice type and well balanced for age. Nice feminine head flat skull and a pleasing eye, good ears and correct bite. Nice arched neck going into nice shoulders straight front. Chest good for age and nice tuck up, nice topline with a nice rise over the loin. Hindquarters still needs to develop and hocks well let down good rear angulation. Moved well BPIB.

1st Wilson, Mrs C. Boughton Busy Lizzie For Hamiltonhill. 1 year old bitch, good head nice dark eye good ear set and a strong jaw. Good muscled arched neck going into well laid shoulders good straight front and nice feet. Good depth for chest and nice tuck up with good spring of rib, nice topline with good length of loin. Would like a more rounded hindquarters, good rear angulation and well let down hocks. Sound mover

Good ear set and a strong jaw, lovely long muscled neck going into well laid shoulders. Good front with good bone and nice feet and good spring of pasterns. Nice deep chest and well sprung ribs with nice tuck up. Good topline with a nice rise over the loins, good hindquarters with well developed second thigh with good rear angulation movement was free with good stride had no doubt in awarding BOB.

2nd Rochford, Miss L. Velandor Mr Jingles. 19month old dog litter brother to 1st. Nice muscular head correct ear set and a nice eye. Good strong jaw, good length of neck and good shoulder. Nice straight front with good bladed bone and nice feet, good deep chest and well ribbed. Topline ok slightly falls away at the rear, hocks well let down, moves a little close behind.

2nd Edwards, Mrs D P. Silkridge Yoko Ohno. 5 year old bitch good head correct shape eye and good ear set. Good strong jaw, nice arched neck good shoulder and a straight front with good bone and nice feet. Good chest with good tuck up. Nice topline with good hindquarters and well bent stifle with hocks well let down. Moved true.
