Yeovil & District Canine Society

Breed: Border Terrier
I’d like to thank the committee for inviting me to Judge Border Terriers at this lovely show, we had a big ring to see the dogs get into their stride and show what they are made of, movement was on average ok, a few crabbing around corners, size varied a lot with some difficult to span, coats were generally good with only one fully stripped. Thank you to my two stewards keeping things running on a windy day!

1st Puppy ( Onthill Silver Star At Foxchapel)

Lovely sized B&T bitch, of well balanced proportions, feminine otter head, neck flowing into level topline , good tail set, spannable with good textured jacket, moved soundly around the ring. Bright future ahead no doubt, pleased to award BPIB

2nd (Itsaso A Beacon Of Hope )

Another promising puppy, grizzle bitch of good size, with feminine otter head, well placed ears, strong muzzle and good dentation, coat of good texture, spanned easily, good angulation throughout, moved well for a youngster, close call between two. Preferred overall outline of one on the day.

Graduate

1st Thistlestone kiss Of Fire

Beautiful grizzle bitch who caught my eye straight away, nice size, feminine otter head, correct bite with big teeth, harsh jacket, top line flowing seamlessly from head to tail, well balanced throughout, moved with ease and drive around the ring using well muscled hind quarters. One to watch. BOB TG2

2nd (Thistlemead Fortitude)

Impressive grizzle male who I have judged before, maturing nicely, masculine otter head of good proportions, well set ears, good bite, right amount of bone, excellent harsh jacket and thick pelt, good angles throughout, powered around the ring with purpose, unlucky to meet 1 today in such fine form. Another with a promising future.
