Special Award Classes

Wednesday 15th October 2025

My thanks to the officers and commitment of the club for the lovely appointment which was placed between GSOW Championship Show and the club Open Show, making it a busy day the English Springer contingent. We benefited form a generous size indoor ring.

Special Award Junior D/B (2)

1. Topliss Beresford Stand On Ceremony. A young bitch full of early excitement and promise, good length of leg, very pretty in head, well off for angles to the fore and rear, really liked her for type and in outline, beautifully handled and immaculately presented. A little twinkle in her eye which let personality shine through.

2. Stephens Forgespring Fool Me Once. Different to 1 but not incorrect, really scores through the middle, being deep in chest with good spring of rib, more moderate in angles but not incorrect, would prefer a touch more length of leg to complete the picture, showed well and happily.

Special Award Post Graduate D/B (6,2)

1. Topliss Stand N’ Stare JW. Upstanding enthusiastic chap of good proportions, liked this head and expression, plenty of work under the eye, lovely typical outline which was held on the move and on the stack, on the move he was typical and made short work of the good size ring. Another that was immaculately presented and handled empathetically and to full advantage.

2. Turvey & Murray Meonstroke Wild Cherry At Harvancourt. A young bitch, unlucky to meet the more mature dog, not wholly settled on the stack but as she settled, she got better, substance but not overdone, and the gentlest expressions which suited her femineity, presented in first class order.

Special Award Open D/B (6,3)

1. Corbett Sieger’s See Eye To Eye With Trimere (Imp DK) NAF A super bitch from the top draw, shown to full advantage, good proportions, well bent stifles, with hocks well let down, strong and muscular in neck into sloping shoulders, as lovely to handle as she looked from a distance.

2. Savell Petranella Tipping The Wink JW. A lovely bitch of beautiful type and make, ribs that many would envy, short strong loin, long easy stride which allowed her to be most striking and coordinated on the move she was handled to best of advantage, despite challenging her handler, an abundance of good straight silky coat.
