LIVINGSTON CANINE CLUB OPEN SHOW 8 JUNE 25

It was a pleasure to judge at this friendly and well run show. My thanks to all exhibitors who entered, also I appreciated my steward for the day who kept the Terrier group running smoothly.

AV TERRIER IMPORT REGISTER – OPEN – 0

WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER – GRADUATE – 2 – (1 AB)

1. TULLIS AND NEWTON – LYNNSTO CRAFTSMAN AT DRUMSHEUGH - pleasing shaped head with erect ears, dark eyes and a black nose. Nice length of neck leading to a level top line and good tail set. He has good bone with strong hindquarters, coat was a good texture. BOB

WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER OPEN – 1 – (1 AB)

CAIRN TERRIER – GRADUATE – 2

1. LAMB AND SALTMARSH – TYCANDO SHINING STAR AROUND MACMOON – balanced in appearance with a level back and a good tail carriage. Pleasing in head with a dark eye and well placed erect ears. Nice length of neck and good ribs. Presented in a good double coat. Moved and showed well. BOB TG4

2. HUTCHINSON - 11 months old. A little unsettled on the table and on the move. Nice head and ears, eyes were dark and head shape was good. Rear movement was good however front movement difficult to assess.

CAIRN TERRIER – OPEN – 1

1. LAMB AND SALTMARSH – BIRSELAW COME DANCING WITH MACMOON OSW JW SHCWX SHCM – 8 years old - Presented in excellent double coat and in good condition. He has a proportioned head, strong muzzle and erect ears. Nice length of neck, good shoulders and bone. He has a level back with strong loin. Coat was a good texture. Moved well both ways. Best Veteran.

SOFT COATED WHEATEN TERRIER – OPEN – 3 – (2 AB)

1. MACGREGOR – KIRKTONHILL A TOUCH OF SNOW SHCEX – Medium size, compact appearance. Proportioned head with a good scissor bite and nice dark eyes. Shoulders were muuscled, loin was strong and hindquarters were toned and nicely angulated. BOB

SMOOTH FOX TERRIER – 3 – (2 AB)

1. ANDERSON AND WATT – DAN CH KAISENBPRGS FOX OFF TO NISYROS (IMP DMK) - nice moderately lengthe of head with little stop. Eyes were dark, mouth was good and ears were small and V shaped. Neck was a good length and loin was strong. She is nicely boned and pasterns were strong with neat feet. Body was toned and presented in good coat. BOB

AV TERRIER NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED – GRADUATE – 3 – (1 AB)

1. MCNIVEN AND BRYSON – DAJAVEIL DUGALD DRUMGUISH - SCOTTISH TERRIER – six months old. Balanced in appearance with a level top line and good tail set. Proportioned head, dark eyes and nicely placed, erect ears. Nice length of neck and deep chest. Hindquarters were muscled. Coat was a good texture. Moved well both ways. BMPIS

2. MCNIVAN AND BRYSON – DAJAVEIL TROMIE MEADOW – litter sister to winner. Similar remarks as her brother . Balanced head with good ears and dark eyes.Coat was good. Needs time to settle as front movement was a tad difficult to assess. 

AV TERRIER NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED – OPEN – 2 – (1 AB)

1. MCNIVAN – FRAZANDMITCH TOP OF THE GAME AT DAJAVEIL – SCOTTISH TERRIER – an impressive looking dog. He has a long, proportioned head, with a strongly constructed foreface. Ears were neat and pointed, mouth was correct. He has a strong, muscular neck, correct ribs, strong loin and a level topline and correct tail set. He is muscular, with well angulated hindquarters. Coat was a good texture, front movement was straight and free, hind movement had plenty of drive. BAVNSC AND TG1

AV TERRIER PUPPY – 4 (3 AB)

1. WALSH AND LLOYD – GEORDIESTOON DEFIANT BOY FOR WEORC – SBT – Ideal size with good bone and feet. Head was good for proportion, with a good foreface and a distinct stop. Mouth was a good scissor bite, ears were a good shape. Neck was muscular and a correct length. Front was straight with strong pasterns. He has a deep brisket, level top line and a strong loin. Hindquarters were well muscled with a good turn of stifle. His coat was smooth and presented in excellent condition. Movement was true both ways. BPIS TG2

2. PURCHON – JOKYL TRUE ROMANCE AT ELLWOODKINGS – AIREDALE – balanced outlook, in good coat and condition. Correct scissor mouth, balanced head with good bone and neat feet. Moved steadily.
