IRISH RED AND WHITE SETTER

I was very grateful to the committee for adding these classes on and the exhibitors for supporting on the day to assist with hands on numbers of this beautiful breed. It was most appreciated.

SY 3(1)

1. Hart’s Gilliegrae So Berry Excited JW. Cracking 13 month old D. Quite impressive youngster, both in type and on the move. Very mature already and well bodied up. Excellent head with correct width thru skull and nice expression. Strong neck into an enviable front, well boned with correct balance in body into good quarters. Moved soundly when he kept his feet on the ground which I don’t mind at all. Will follow his career with interest.

2. Jakins’ Coolfin Baltic Turn The Page. 17 month old B. Although older looking a bit raw in comparison today. Sweet head and feminine expression, excellent bone, depth and spring of ribs. Liked her width of quarters and moved out well. Can only get better as she gains her coat and more time.

PG 1(0)

1. Jakins’ Coolfin Ailbhe. Almost 4 years B. Mature, Nice head properties, with low ear set into good length of neck. Liked her bone, depth to brisket and rib cage. Well bent stifles. Excellent colour. Moved well coming and going and held her topline on the move. RBOB.

O 8(3)

1. McDonald/Westwood’s Roanjora Cremant De Savoie avec Eusanit JW. 2.5 year old D I have judged before and has really come on. His head is handsome and correctly balanced, has a good stop and ear set. Quality neck arch into well made shoulders, strong straight legs. Excellent depth of chest showing heart room, balanced thru back and level topline. Well-muscled quarters which he used to his advantage on the move, really driving round the ring in style. Overall presented in excellent condition and well handled. Eye catching dog still with so much time to get even better. BOB and G4. Well done.

2. Jakins’ Sh Ch/Int Sh Ch/Multi Ch. Terne Des Coris Qalimero at Coolfin. 8 year old D. Really nice type. Handsome well balanced head, nice expression, dark eyes correct ear set. Excellent front angulation and topline. Good depth to brisket. Strong quarters and clean through hocks. Excellent colour. Just not handling the floor surface as well as the other dogs today, but obvious why he is so well titled.

3. McDonald’s Sh Ch. Roanjora Rioja Crianza.
