A huge thank you to the Southern Pointer Club committee for your excellent hospitality and the honour of inviting me to judge. Thanks also of course, to exhibitors for the much appreciated lovely entry - It was a pleasure to go over your Pointers. Big thank to my stewards for their excellent assistance on the day.

MPD (3) Close up - 1 Martin's Sunhouse Quintessential. Heavily marked b/w puppy so smoothly put together. Head shaping up nicely with kindly expressive eyes. Well laid back shoulder, is short coupled, has substance and is a picture of balance and strength. Good tailset and carriage. Neat feet, steady on the move. 2 Saunders & Newton's Corotine Velvet Tuxedo. Handsome b/w of more elegant type and balance. Has depth of rib leading to short couplings. Moderate angulation fore & aft, enough bone, neat feet. Just preferred hind angulation and depth of loin of 1 but head of 2. 3 Sherwood's Lambleaze Myosotis.

PD (6) 1 O'Neill's Tenshilling Hello Stranger, Quality b/w, well chiselled head, close fitting ears, appealing expression. Balanced curvy outline with breadth and depth of rib, substance and moved out on well shaped feet, keeping a firm topline. 2 Sunhouse Quintessential 3 Corotine Velvet Tuxedo

JD (4 2) 1 Matthews' Sonham Just the Ticket. Liv/w. Has a classy moulded head with kindest of eyes,depth of muzzle and rounded lip. Good length of neck, excellent shoulder and upper arm assembly. Deep in rib, short in loin. All in balance, good tail set, driving movement. 2 Siddle, Siddle & Mazzeo's Wilchrimane Cereal Killer. Honest b/w with pleasant head and sweet expression. Reachy neck, well ribbed up, short coupled, moderate angulation fore & aft in balance. Moved steadily.

YD (5 2) 1 Sonham Just the Ticket. 2 Stilgoe & Fox's Teisgol Sweet William JW JNR Ch. Liked this o/w boy's attractive moulded head, good length of neck set into well laid shoulders. So short and well balanced, deep bodied, tight outline Tailset was straight off the back, but carried a little high at times. Just a little unsettled on the move 3 Saunders & Newton's Teisgol Calendula

GD (6) 1 Sonham Just the Ticket. 2 O'Neill's Tenshilling Shboom JW. B/w. Good head proportions, concave muzzle and wide nostrils. Curvy balanced outline of moderate angulation fore & aft. Good depth of rib leading to short loin. Well shaped feet and moved true. 3 McGrath's Teisgol Hot n' Sausey.

PGD (3 1) 1 Martin's Sunhouse I'll Be Black. B/w blanket-marked. Such a classical head of just right proportions and melting expression. Excelled in length of neck and lay of shoulder. So short and well put together. Has substance, good hind angulation, neat feet. Moved keeping a firm outline. 2 Allen & Betts Hawkfield Kings Ransom. Upstanding o/w with a particularly lovely chiselled head and dish. Would prefer a little more upper arm angulation but he has a reachy neck set into well laid shoulder and well turned stifles. Firm topline with tail straight off the back. Moved true.

LD(6 1) 1 BD RBIS Sweeney's Joneva Just Imagine JW. Quality-type, bigger built o/w, though not overdone in any way. Lot of work to his classical moulded head and his expression is just melting. Clean, flowing outline, good bone, great neck & shoulders, ribs carried well back. Nicely angulated behind. Won on straight, true free movement. 2 Welch's Hookwood Starman JW. B/w with stronger head, but neat in outline with lovely proportions and front and rear angulation in balance.Well shaped bone and feet. Not as steady in movement as 1. 3 Stilgoe's Glenariff Mojito over Teisgol

OD (3 1) 1 Adams' Sh Ch Carofel Wings of Hope JW WW23 Swiss Jch.O/w with classic chiselled head and sweet eye. Reachy neck set into sloping shoulders. Good spring of rib, deep and short coupled. Well let down hocks, rear angulation in balance. Moved on neat feet keeping firm topline. 2 Sweeney's Ger Ch Lundgarth Wild Yarrow SGWC. A lovely type b/w built on flowing, clean lines. Long neck, well laid shoulder. Good width of thigh, well-shaped feet. Just preferred head and movement of 1.

SPBD (3) 1 McGrath's Teisgol Hot n' Sausey. O/w 7 year old boy with lovely expression and good dish. Deep in rib, moderate angulation, tho had the best outline on the move. 2 Hawkfield Kings Ransom 3 Ovel's Heartbury Valentino at Jimaura

Sp Vet D 7-9(4 1) 1 Bowen-Brooks' Tenshilling Blowin Smoke. 8 year old b/w with moulded head, appealing expression and good dish. Short coupled, best of movers, good tail carriage and balanced throughout. 2 Welch & Hazeltine's Sh Ch Pytchley Chasing the Dream for Hookwood. Heavier built 9 year old b/w with everything flowing together in balance. Ribby, firm in topline and underline. Well angulated behind and moved out positively. 3 Teisgol Hot'n Sausey

SPVet D 10 +over (1) 1 O'Neill' Sh Ch s Tenshilling Home Alone. I loved his well proportioned shapely head and big gentle eyes, O/w in best of condition. Good spring and depth of rib, hind angulation. Moved true on neat feet.

Good Cit D 9 (1) 1 Saunders & Newton's Teisgol Calendula. O/w with classic typey head. Lovely flow to his outline. Well laid shoulder, moderate upper arm. Short coupled, good bone. Moved freely on well shaped feet.

MPB (4) 1 Welch & Hazeltine's Corotine Noir Blossom with Hookwood. Very balanced b/w elegant bitch, with good length of neck and sloping shoulders. Straight front, firm topline, deep ribs, short-coupled and balanced throughout. Good tailset. Tight feet. Moved true. 2 Harrison's Millpoint Silver Wings. Elegant b/w. Nicely chiselled head with kind expression. Very shapely outline with reachy neck, sloping shoulders, well turned stifles and moved happily 3 Martin's Sunhouse Quintessence.

PB(9 4) 1 Harrison's Millpoint Wings of Fire. O/w with super flow to her. Classic head. Best of neck and shoulders, spring of rib, well angulated hindquarters and everything in proportion. 2 Hinton, Luke & Leman's Fleurfield Betty Barclay. Close up, b/w with a quality dished head and lovely type, make and shape. Just preferred neck shoulders of 1 but she is ribby, short-coupled and well angulated behind. 3 Corotine Noir Blossom with Hookwood

JB(5 2) 1 Matthews' Sonham Just a Pretty Belle 2 gorgeous liv/w bitches. 1 Excellent moulded head, clean in neck & shoulders. All flowing well together with balanced angles. Moved straight and positively. 2 Barham's Droveborough Witchy Woman. Beautiful sculpted head. Slightly heavier through the neck and shoulders than 1. Deep bodied with good angulation behind. Flowing lines and keeps a classic outline on the move.

YB((2 1) 1 Stilgoe, Stilgoe & Fox's Teisgol Rose Campion JW. Very honest, smoothly put together o/w. Quality head with sweet expression. Deep in rib, short couplings, beautiful balance of angles. Good set on of tail, correct shaped feet, moved out well.

MB (4 2) 1 Millpoint Wings of Fire 2 Sunhouse Quintessence. Lively b/w puppy who was 3 in MPB, now settling down. Lovely lissom outline, head, reachy neck and well laid shoulders. Deep in rib, good bone, neatest of feet.

GB (6 2) 1 Cobden's Alozia Zantini. Lovely blanket-marked liver. Moulded head with kind expression. Smoothly put together with sloping shoulders and upper arm, deep bodied and short. Good expanse of thigh. Moved keeping her topline. 2 Stilgoe & Fox's Teisgol Alohomora. Quality type elegant orange who is clean in neck and shoulders. Slightly racier built than 1, but has a pretty head, deep rib and well placed shoulders. Kept outline on the move. 3 Barham's Alozia Zephryne

PGB (3 1) 1 Klaiber's Hawkfield Scandalous. O/w of quality make and shape with gorgeous sculpted head and expression. Has deep rib, depth and well-balanced angles. 2 Parkin's Keepersfield Simone. B/w with beautiful classic head. Straight front, short coupled and moderate, but balanced angulation. Went around the ring with driving movement.

LB (10 4) 1 BB & BIS. Guy's Carofel If I had Wings JW. Feminine o/w with sweetest of eyes, in her beautifully proportioned moulded head. Lovely earset, close and neat. Super lay of shoulder and upperarm, deep ribbed, good depth through the flank and short, level firm topline. Series of graceful curves! Best mover today, true, straight and covering the ground which made my decision easy for BB and BIS. 2 Stilgoe & Oliver's Tesigol Heaven Scent. Lively b/w beaten on shoulders, short and deep in balance tailset moved freely. 3 Roberts' Kananaskis Black Bryony.

OB (6) 1 O'Neill's Tenshilling To Sir With Love JW. Beautiful headed orange. Stylish, cleanest of balanced outlines and angulation. Reachy neck, deep in rib, short-coupled, steady free mover. 2 Welch, Drake & Hazeltine's Clamerkin Jubilee Surprise at Hookwood JW. B/w. Attractive sculpted head with kind bright eye. Presents a moderately angled but very shapely picture, all fitting neatly together. Muscular hindquarters, moved well with wagging tail. 3 Martin's Sunhouse Black t' Square One

SPBB (3) 1 Droveborough Witchy Woman 2 Roberts' Kananaskis Black Bryony. B/w with quality head. Typy, with deep rib, balanced angulation, good body, bone and tailset and correct shaped feet. 3 Hawkfield Scandalous

Sp Vet B7-9 (8 4) 1& BVB Guy's Carofel on Silent Wings JW. Well defined head. B/w with long neck, good front assembly with best of upparms, stylish, has substance. Deep bodied, well ribbed back. Short-coupled. Well angulated hindquarters in balance. Free, true mover. 2 Welch, Maber & Hazeltine's Sharnphilly Toggi with Hookwood. Full of Pointer type, curvy, moderately placed shoulders but well angled hindquarters . Good mover on best of feet. 3 Ovel's Jimaura I'm for Caroline.

SPVet B 10 +over (7 5) 1 Barham's Kenwardgold Minnie Me JW. Liver spotted girl in great condition. Lovely proportioned head. Moderate neck and angulation, but so typy on the move.2 Welch's Ir Sh Ch Oxfordacres Trinity by Hookwood JW SH Cm V. Blanket-marked b&w, longer cast, strongly built. Firm topline, angles in balance, movement rather unsettled today.

Good Cit B (5 2) 1Alozia Zantini. 2 Barham's Droveborough Mocha Mayhem. Possesses lovely Pointer essence and typy head. Good length of neck, not deep but has firm top line. Good set on of tail, well angulated behind, neat feet, moved freely. 3 Klaiber's Sharnphilly Gingerbread SGWC

Brace (8 5)1 Stilgoe & Fox's Beautifully matched o/w. Peas in a pod. Elegant and shapely, strode out well together. 2 Barham's also so well matched liv/w bs of good type. Moved in unison.
