What a lovely venue, plenty of space and large outdoor rings. The weather added to a garden party atmosphere. Congratulations to the Committee for a well run show. Thank you to both of my stewards who stepped in to help out.

Afghan

O (4, 2a) 1. Hills & Thornton’s Absolute Afghans Djibouti at Karnak JW (Imp NOR). 4 year old male with a regal pose. Typical outline, ex head piece, scissor bite with large teeth, good prosternum, prominent withers, ex topline, haunches & strong hocks with long second thigh. A close decision but just felt he was slightly more animated on the move today. BOB. 2. Fisher’s Shimalma Campari Goes to Ifmaraf. Top quality feminine bitch, 5 years old, a lovely shape & balance. Dark eyes, long neck, ex depth of brisket. A elegant lady all through. RBOB.

J (5, 2a) 1. McCarthy’s Nagshall Gosh How Posh. Just turned 12 months & I found her to be an exciting prospect. Dark eyes, nose pigment & dark nails. Ex prosternum & deep oval chest. Level topline & elbows close to ribcage but allowing for free movement. Glossy coat. Moving around the ring with ease. RBOB. 2. Edwards-Everett & Everett’s Emeraldax Naked Kiss. 15 months. Feminine, good for size & shape, paler in pigment & light in nails. 3. Law’s Kenleap Honeysuckle

PG (3, 1a) 1. McCarthy’s Nagshall Love at Risk. 15 months, ex size & balance. Dark eyes/pigment, coat fringing coming along nicely on forelegs, ears & skirting. Moves positively. 2. Kenleap Honeysuckle. Sporting a fabulous glossy deep red coat & has a happy nature Larger in build, & carrying weight. Handler would benefit from ringcraft classes/watching from ringside & learning the finer points of showing to get the best performance from her.

O (4, 1a) 1. Broad’s Bronia Wolfgang Puck. Mature 3 year old red lad with conical head, dark eyes, well set ears, fabulous keel & correct strong parallel hocks. . Loved his size, compactness, correct height to length ratio & the way he moved with precision. BOB. 2. McCarthy’s Nagshall Paolo Prince. Litter brother to the J winner. B/T male. Well coated for age, just a little longer cast & forefeet turning out a tad too much. 3. Kenleap Honeysuckle

J (1) 1. Sutton’s Delsaux Happy Ever After. A quality lass in glossy red jacket. Low slung, good forelegs & layback of shoulder, well ribbed back, ex topline & underline. Lovely head & expression on strong neck. Ex stifles & strong hocks, moving with animation. BOB.

P (2, 1a) 1. Sommers’ Penjulai’s Over The Moon. Super 11 months old BT pup of correct height to body length proportions. Ex bone for size, well bodied with ex ribs & short loins. Darkest of eyes & sweet expression. Moving around the ring with reach & drive. BPIB.

J (1, 1a)

PG (5, 1a) 1. Forge’s Normpug Apricot Beauty. Nicely sized red, well off for bone, ex shoulder placement & neck. Low slung with ex level topline & clean underline. Moving soundly. 2. Sommers’ Ruletadax Queen of Hearts for Penjulai . Chocolate of ex balance & size & clean outline. Moving out really well with ex forward reach & rear drive. 3. Berendji’s Daxiedoodaa Doris Day

O (4, 1a) 1. Strange’s Bronia’s Armand at Cazdachs. 2.5 year old male, so very sound in movement. Strength in jaw, masculine but no exaggeration. Flowing lines all through & such strength in his upright hocks. BOB. 2. Sommers’ Judy Rainbow Over Penjulai. Dam of puppy winner. Attractive chocolate girl, pretty headed, well made though a little taller on hocks, she moves well around the ring in all directions, proudly strutting her stuff. RBOB. 3. O (1) 1. Stewart-Brown’s Pennywave Pink Gin. Standing alone but would be a very worthy winner in good competition. 6 years old, typical outline, presented in ex condition bushy eyebrows & ex whiskering. Moving briskly. BOB.

Dachshund (Wire-haired)

J (1) 1. Akehurst’a Tendrow Down To The Wire. 14 months. So smitten with the character on this young boy. Takes your eye as he motors around the ring with style, alert & outgoing, & briefly pausing when he gets a scent. Super construction from nose to tail. Ex bone, strongly muscled, moving straight & true. Shown in tip top condition & handled expertly. BOB.

PG(1, 1a)

O (3, 1a) 1. Rowe’s Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom JW. 22 months. Such a smart, well made lad giving his all. Masculine head & expression, ex eyebrows & whiskers. Strength all through, ex angulation at both ends & moving with tail held well, maintaining his topline at all times. Difficult decision in the challenge. RBOB. 2.Apps’ Calicoe Just Me. Five years old. Pleasing shape to this lad with ex pigmentation. Dark brown eyes, deep chest & moving out well.

Boxer

P(1) 1. Wheeler’s Hipkins Charismatic. Aptly named 10 month old girl, such an attractive head, outline & balance, ex eyes & straight forelegs with forward facing feet with well arched toes. Moving as one with her runner where she was steady & under control but allowed her head. BPIB.

J (2) 1. Hawkins’ Melhawk Jiggerlicious. I liked both of these girls, who were well matched in competition with one another. I am sure they will change places often as the only thing separating them today was in their movement where 1st was calmer & more fluid. Both have beautiful heads, ex angulation fore & aft, ex body proportions & ribcages, neat feet with knuckled toes. 2. Mitchell’s Diceulon Lulahmitz Surprise Surprise. Two months older than 1st, just needs to settle on the move to achieve her full potential.

PG (2) 1. Merritt’s Diceulon Top Hat and Tails at Merquin (AI). This boy stood out for his hard myscular condition. Masculine all through, fabulous bone, firm strong neck, ex topline, quality head, & using himself to full advantage when moving around the ring where he flows with an easy ground covering stride. BOB. 2. Longley’s Limkyns Moonlight Tango with Attomic. A most attractive & pretty headed girl at two years old. Quality construction, lots to like for the future. Not in the same condition as 1st.

O (2) 1. Harvey & Bole’s Harvlin’s Mystification. 2.5 years. Shown in ex condition, well constructed front assembly & ex turn of stifle. Straight forelegs. Pleasing topline & underline. Ex second thighs. Just preferred her more feminine head. RBOB. 2. Lock’s 2.5 years. Romanico Baccto Clarricks JW. Close up to 1st . In ex muscular condition, so nice to encounter. Moving soundly. Just preferred head on 1st for femininity today.

Bullmastiff

P (2) 1. Lampen & Wilson’s Hyerduncar The Huntsman Is Rosco. Born in the purple, this young 6 month old lad has a presence about him. For a giant breed he has outstanding control of his limbs on the move. Well grown with ex width in front, ex boned, well bodied, with balanced angulation front & rear and correct in topline. Moving steadily with purpose & so composed & confident. BPIB & BOB. 2. Dick & McKinnon-Smith’s Asborn Love Is All Around Us . 11 months old male, with so much to like & unlucky to meet 1st today. Masculine in head, so well muscled, impressive in bod structure. Dark nails. Not quite the width in front between forelegs as1st, which also shows in movement, but has ex prospects as he develops. RBOB.
