I would like to express my gratitude to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-organized show. The weather forecast for the day predicted thunderstorms, but fortunately, we were lucky, and for the most part, it remained dry, allowing me to judge outside. A heartfelt thank you to all the exhibitors for the pleasure of seeing your lovely dogs.

Main results:

BIS: 198 STEPHENS' CH CHALKSVILLE MADE OF MAGIC FOR BRIGHTMEADOW JW (GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG)

This stunning black and tan German Shepherd Dog exudes quality. He is remarkably honest and workmanlike in his balance and proportions, looking as if he could work all day. His handsome headpiece is of good length with pleasing planes. His dark eyes and erect ears create an intelligent and alert expression. He possesses a beautiful flow through his neck and topline and is well-developed through the body, with the right amount of spring in his ribcage. Standing on well-boned, strong limbs, he is a joy to watch in motion, gliding effortlessly around the ring. He shows power from behind with no hint of weakness from any angle. Handled to perfection, he truly showcases his best qualities. I was delighted to award him 'Best in Show.'

RBIS: 280 HEALE & DAVIES' RHODERNS ARBIKA OF TRELAWNEKI (SKYE TERRIER)

This striking 22-month-old black dog has a confident and stylish presence. When standing, he presents a lovely silhouette. He has a masculine head of good length, with dark eyes and erect ears that give him a dignified appearance. His muscular neck is of good length, showing a slight arch, which flows into a firm, level topline both when standing and moving. He has developed nicely through the body, with good depth, and stands on well-boned limbs. He moves freely and positively, and he is presented in a flat, hard coat that complements his overall look.

RBPIS: 133 WEBB'S SHALISSA'S INTO THE SHALLOW (DOBERMANN)

This very smart and stylish 10-month-old B&T bitch displayed strength throughout while still exuding a feminine charm. When she stands, she presents a lovely outline, being compact and proud in her bearing. She has a feminine head with parallel planes and is well-filled below her dark, inquisitive eyes. Her clean neck, of good length, flows into a well-held topline. She possesses depth in her brisket, with her elbows close to her body. Her straight forelegs have pleasing round bone and end in tight, cat-like feet. Her strong, muscular hindquarters enable her to drive around the ring with a positive action, maintaining a strong bond with her handler.

RBVIS: 146 DOWNING & SEASTROM'S NORTHPIER'S NON DUCOR DUCO (IMP USA) (NEWFOUNDLAND)

A beautifully presented and well-handled 7-year-old Landseer dog. He is impressive, with substantial bone and a solid build. He has a masculine head, characterised by a broad skull with good strength in the foreface and dark almond eyes. His topline is well-held and has a nice flow. He is deep in the brisket and has a good spring to his ribcage. His legs are strong and well-boned, with well-angulated, broad hindquarters and low-set hocks. For a dog of his size, he moves cleanly with a free-flowing stride.

1st 91 Birch's BETHWILL SHINE ON BEAN

Impressed by the overall appearance of this 14-month-old fawn and white bitch, she is graceful and well-proportioned in her outline. She has a lovely head with dark, kind eyes and neatly shaped rose ears. Her elegant neck creates a smooth flow from her nose to her tail. She possesses good depth and a straight front. She moves well and was in close contention for top honours.

2nd 96 Edwards' LAWLEYMOON EREZA MAR AT LANDSBIRCH

A 17-month-old bitch, brindle with white trim, she has a shapely outline and a lovely expression characterised by her dark oval eyes. She has a clean neck and a well-developed chest, showing a good tuck-up and a nice bend of the stifle along with toned muscles. She wasn't quite as precise in her movement today compared to the winner.

This is a very smart and curvy 2-year-old fawn and white bitch. She is of a lovely size, with the right amount of bone and substance, and displays a distinctly feminine appearance. When standing, she presents a pleasing silhouette and maintains her outline while in motion. Her underline and topline create a beautifully flowing and curvy shape. She moves in a true and clean manner, demonstrating effortless motion – BOB & Group 1

2nd 102 Lloyd's PENWINCOED BETTY BOOP

Shapely13 months old fawn and white bitch. I appreciated her overall shape and curvy outline. She had a balanced head with a nice taper and a gentle expression from her dark eyes. Her body was well developed, and she had well-angulated hindquarters. Today just preferring the outline of the winner while on the move.

This 2-year-old blue brindle bitch has a beautifully shaped outline, with much to admire. She has a lovely feminine head, a long elegant neck, and good depth in her brisket with a nice fill in the forechest, complemented by a gentle arch over her loin. She presented a pleasing appearance while moving, driving powerfully from the rear, she was slightly close behind today. - RBOB

2nd 95 Edwards' LANDSBIRCH ISADORA

Liked the overall appearance of this 4-year-old fawn female; however, she didn’t settle while being moved. She is of a nice size and has good body proportions. She has the desired curvy outline, along with good depth and wide quarters, and is in lovely condition.

1st 107 Keepence & Keyte's REDCAP NORTHERN LIGHTS OVER ALANDOBEL VW

Such an honest and expressive 7½-year-old tri-colour bitch. I appreciated her size, substance, and femininity. She carries herself with confidence and joie de vivre. She has a lovely expression, with a sufficient length of neck, which flows into a firm and level topline, topped with a well-set and carried tail. She is deep in the brisket, has a well-filled front, and stands on well-boned limbs supported by tight feet. When she moves, she does so with true drive. I was delighted to award her Best of Breed, Best Hound Veteran, Hound Group 3, and ultimately, Best Veteran in Show.

2nd 105 Greenough's BORY WOOD TOBIAS AT JALHAR (IMP ROM)

A striking 7-year-old tri-colour dog, he is sturdy and strong, presenting a pleasing outline when standing. He has a masculine hound-like head, a good length of neck, and a well-developed brisket with a good ribcage. Not quite as firm in the topline as the winner today, he exhibits a lovely drive from his strong, muscular hindquarters. - RBOB

A strong and well-built dog who is approaching 2 years of age. He is maturing nicely, showing good bone structure and substance. He has a masculine head and a strong neck, with a well-developed body. He is a little loose in front when moving, but maintains his outline well and demonstrates impressive drive from the rear. RBOB

1st 110 Murphy, Murphy, Cox & Cox's CARLINCOX MASH IT UP JW

There is no mistaking this dog's gender; he is a lovely dog with an impressive outline. At three years old, he is now mature and truly looks the part. I appreciated his overall body proportions, size, and substance. He has a handsome head and an intelligent expression in his well-toned eyes. His strong neck and deep brisket, along with a nicely filled forechest, add to his appeal. He displays harmonious angulation both front and rear. On the move, he looks lovely, strong and free in his actions. He was awarded BOB and Hound Group 2

1st 112 Ford's JANSAMS WHITE RUSSIAN (Borzoi)

I fell in love with this 10-month-old white and brindle Borzoi dog. He exuded elegance and carried himself with a regal air. His head is long and lean, featuring a dark almond-shaped eye. When standing, he holds a lovely outline, with his topline showing a graceful curve and a good fall-away. When he moves, he truly shines; he is incredibly light on his feet, demonstrating excellent reach and drive while powering from the rear. Well presented and handled. Pleased to award him BP & RBOB, and Best Puppy In Show

2nd 122 Mcloughlin's AMENEDIELS EYES ON THE PRIZE WITH ZANTESCWTCH (Bavarian Mountain Hound)

Attractive 10-month-old Bavarian Mountain Hound is striking with a deer red coat with a dark muzzle. She possesses the desired body proportions and a slightly rising topline. She is well-boned and has good depth in her brisket. Today not as settled on the move as the winner.

1st 116 Gleave's RYNECO LADY DASHINGTON (Dachshund (Min Smooth-Haired))

I appreciated the overall balance and compact outline of this two-year-old shaded red bitch. She has a lovely head and expression, displaying a keen and alert demeanour. Her neck is of good length, and she has a well-developed forechest. The ribs are carried well back, and she maintains a firm topline both when standing and in motion. She moves with drive and enthusiasm. BOB & Hound Group 4

2nd 128 Thomas' KENXTWEN MERGUEZ (Dachshund (Min Smooth-Haired))

5-year-old red bitch has pleasing overall proportions and was expertly handled by her young handler. She has a feminine head, with a dark eye and well-placed broad ears. Her neck is a good length, and she has a deep brisket with sufficient ground clearance. Today, she wasn't holding her topline as firmly as the winner. However, she moves out with good drive from the rear.

1st 113 Ford's MISCHRAN MIIKA (Borzoi)

A 3 1/2-year-old dog presents an appealing outline when standing, achieving the desired appearance. He has a long, lean head with small, high-set ears and a dark, soulful, intelligent eye. He has sufficient depth and maintains a correct topline that leads to a long, well-carried tail. He is well presented and moves accurately, although today he did not exhibit the same drive as his younger kennel mate.

2nd 115 Gleave's RYNECO KRYSTAL MAZE (Dachshund (Min Smooth-Haired))

This is a compact two-year-old red bitch who displays good body proportions and balance when standing, resulting in a nice flow from her neck to her topline. She has well-sprung ribs and a firm topline, showing drive in profile, but her fore and aft is not as settled today.

This 9-month-old bitch is an absolute charmer. She is full of energy and affection, loving everyone she meets, especially when it comes to belly rubs. She has a lovely head with a long muzzle, dark oval eyes, and long, low-set ears. Her topline is well-maintained, and she has good depth in her brisket. She is also a happy and enthusiastic mover.

2nd 129 Binnersley & Tomkinson's XTREME MR PRESIDENT V D MERGELHOEVE AT MORTHOUND (IMP NLD) (Black & Tan Coonhound)

I admired this 3-year-old dog, who loved to make his presence known with his typical hound voice! He had a lovely outline, displaying good body proportions, strong throughout, and upstanding. His masculine head featured parallel planes, hazel eyes, and low-set ears. He had a strong neck with good depth and a well-defined forechest, as well as strong, muscular quarters. Unfortunately, he seemed a bit distracted while moving today, which was a shame.

This is a super 10-year-old dog who remains blissfully unaware of his age! He still presents the enthusiasm of a young dog. When standing, he has a well-proportioned outline, with lovely bone structure and strength evident throughout. The hint of grey on his muzzle only adds to his majestic appearance. He moves freely and with drive.

Very curvy and feminine black and white bitch, shapely without being overdone. Her head is balanced, featuring a typical expression with dark, gentle eyes. She has a good length of neck that flows into a firm topline, and her tail is well set. The brisket is well let down with a nice underline. As she moves around the ring in profile, she shows good drive and her bee-sting tail in action

There is much to admire in this 7-year-old red and white dog. He is charismatic and naturally captures attention with his lovely square outline. He has a typical and balanced head with dark, inquisitive eyes. His long neck features a slight arch, accompanied by a firm topline and strong bone structure. Lovely powerful mover.

A smart 9-month-old dog showed his socks with an air of confidence and typical playfulness. He has a well-rounded skull, well placed ears, and large, dark, inquisitive eyes. His body is well-developed, featuring a firm topline and a well-set tail. He moves tidily and with a brisk action.

He is strong and deep through the body, with a slight rise in the topline. His powerful hindquarters help him move confidently around the ring. He is presented with a harsh coat

A stylish 15-month-old red dog that looked lovely on the stack, showcasing both substance and bone, as well as a masculine elegance. He has a well-proportioned head with a dark eye. His body is well developed, featuring a deep ribcage, and he stands on well-boned limbs with tight feet. He possesses strong and muscular hindquarters and demonstrated precise, powerful movement. Being presented in good coat and condition.

What a little show-off! This W&T dog, approaching 2 years of age, certainly knows how to show himself to advantage. He has a pleasing outline when stacked, being well-proportioned, sturdy, yet very lithe. He has a lovely head with dark, inquisitive eyes that miss nothing. There is a nice flow to his topline, leading to a well-set tail. He has good depth to his brisket, yet it is easily spannable. He moves with enthusiasm and pizzazz.

2nd 47 Oliver & Stilgoe's Sh Ch Teisgol Love Is In The Air (Pointer)

Super five-year-old O&W dog, who pushed the winner hard. He has a lovely outline that is elegant and curvy, yet distinctly masculine. His head is well-proportioned with a good stop, a pronounced occiput, and dark eyes that convey a kind and gentle expression. The topline flows gently, and he has good depth in the brisket, short coupled with strong hindquarters. I found him to be a free and positive mover.
