GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

PD/B (3,0 abs) 1st Davis’ Lynste Dream Boy (ai): mid gold well balanced male throughout, lovely head & scissor bite, good earset with dark eyes, correct length of neck leading into a good front assembly, nice bend of stifle, stood on good feet, level topline held well on the move, BP & pleased to see him take PG3 later in the day, well done! 2nd Furbanks’ Kayzaelle Kumbuka Peace: B, another quality pup & slightly more mature than first, paler coat, good angles fore & aft, shown in good coat & condition, moved well, just preferred the leg length of winner. 3rd Fishers’ Palizolla Paradise.

JD/B (4,0 abs) 1st Porters’ Shearstone Hasta La Vista: a quality young lady just 4 days out of puppy, very feminine head with dark mischievous look in her eyes, lovely reach of neck, good length of upper arm & correct layback of shoulder, deep throughout with tight fitting elbows, lovely bend of stifle & straight hocks, well-muscled rear assembly which helped her effortlessly power around the ring holding her super topline, so well-balanced throughout, didn’t hesitate to award her BOB, one to watch for the future. 2nd Balls’ Shearstone Live The Dream At Fivelms: B, litter sister to 1 with a slightly paler coat & similar remarks apply, at this stage not quite as positive in movement. 3rd Todds’ Xanadu With Toddrosa Of Sunshine’s Valley (Imp Bel).

GD/B (8,3 abs) 1st Gaylers’ Carolake X’marks The Spot JW: I judged this well-presented young lady as a pup, she has kept her feminine looks & has matured nicely, super balance with the best of toplines, stood on the best of feet, moved well, pushed hard for the top spot. 2nd Davis’ Lynste Midas Touch: lady of slightly larger frame, well balanced throughout, well presented, not quite the positive movement of my winner. 3rd Balls’ Shearstone Live The Dream At Fivelms.

PGD/B (2,1 abs) 1st Watermans’ Burleybeck Swing On A Star: nearly three-year-old bitch with attractive head, mid-gold coat, well-proportioned neck and front, good chest depth and rib spring, correct loin length, balanced rear angles, super topline & tailset, stood on tight catlike feet, really liked this one but rather unsettled today which cost her further consideration for top honours.

OD (3,2 abs) 1st Todds’ Van Gogh Of Sunshine’s Valley With Toddrosa JW, pale gold substantial lad, pleasant head with good chiselling, kind dark eye & correct bite, good topline & well set on tail, moved a little close behind today.

OB (2,2 abs)
