My thanks to the Society for the invitation to judge at this well run show, to Neil for being such a competent steward & to all of the exhibitors for allowing me the pleasure of judging their dogs.

Bulldog PG (1,0) Harvey’s Elarhill Miss Maleficent R&W with a clean head, flat skull with enough wrinkle, well carried rose ears & dark eyes. Definite stop. Plenty of bone & substance all through. Strong pasterns, neat feet, wide in chest. Muscled rear & tail low. She moved soundly with the required roll. Please to award her BOB & UG4

Dalmatian P (1,0) Williams & Tanswell Carodal Welcome Way Via Waltzaway Well grown black spotted 7 months old. Head is developing well, with dark eyes & well set ears. Deep chest, level topline, tail carried low. Tight feet. Moved with reach & drive, a touch close in rear movement. BP & PG4

J (2,0) 1st Howard’s Decoda’s Treasure Chest 14 months old & still has some maturing to do. Head is flat with well placed ears & feminine expression. Eyes are dark & oval shape. Enough neck into well laid shoulders, level topline. Deep chest. Rearquarters are well muscled & angulated, she moved freely. I would prefer more spotting.

2nd Davies’ Maddidalli Auroras Heart Of smaller type with a balanced outline, finer all through than 1st & not as mature in body. Well set ears, dark eyes. Moderate angulation front & rear. I would prefer better tail carriage. Sound mover.

PG (4,0) 1st Davies’ Maddidalli True Loves Kiss Well marked 14 months old, balanced & elegant outline. Feminine expression, ears are correctly set, eyes are dark. Shoulders well laid, level topline to strong well muscled rear with wide thighs. Chest developing & has depth & width. Sound on the move although a touch close in rear.

2nd Davies’ Maddidalli River Song Of good size & shape, she is mature in body. Dark eyes, ears well placed, appealing expression. Long neck. Moderately angulated front & rear. Sound mover with rear drive.

3rd Pattington & Blomfield’s Hafwenna Honey Pie

O (5,2) 1st Williams & Tanswell’s Tolkain Storm King From Phadante JW Mature black spotted dog with balanced outline. Appealing head & expression with dark pigment, well placed ears & dark eyes. Straight front, arched neck & well laid shoulders. Deep chest, ribs are well sprung & topline level. His angulated & well muscled rear drove him around the ring. Presented in gleaming condition BOB

2nd Corcoran & Howard-Riddle’s Shydally Star Gazer 16 months old & of larger type, masculine all through. Flat skull with enough width, dark eyes, ears well set. Straight front to small neat feet. Well laid shoulders. Free mover, I preferred the front action of 1st. So well conditioned & a real showman he was my RBOB

Lhasa Apso P (1,0) 1st Blahuta’s Conor Dreamed A Dream (Imp POL) One I have judged before & he is maturing well, now 10 months old. He has masculine expression with dark eyes, defined stop & well feathered ears. Dark pigment. Enough neck with arch, well laid shoulders, level topline to high set tail that is well carried. Angulated rear is muscled. Presented in beautiful coat. BOB & BP. A change of handler in the group gave him more confidence, he moved well to be awarded PG2

Shih Tzu P (1,0) 1st Beer’s Miracey Miss Holly Berry 10 months old & has an appealing head with round dark eyes. Shapely outline, with chest developing, level topline to high set tail. Enough bone all through. Coat presented in lovely condition. Moved well showing her pads. RBOB, BP & PG3

PG (1,0) 1st Osmond’s Konatian Love Machine Young dog who was reluctant to move today. Broad head with chin, square muzzle, round eyes & low set ears. Arched neck, shoulders laid back. Neat round feet. Level topline & high set tail correctly carried over back.

O (2,0) 1st Galliford & Keree-Bartolo’s Sassyshi Cake By The Ocean With Shirkeira JW Glamourous bitch with balanced outline & sturdy body. Her round head has a typical expression, dark round eyes, low set ears. Well laid shoulders, level topline, muscled rear. Tail carried over back & is high set. Presented in lovely coat. Showed her pads as she drove around the ring. I was pleased to award her BOB & G1

2nd Austin’s Rossvale Wishful Thinking For Chotahkees Gold & white dog who also has many breed attributes, head is broad with dark eyes & low set ears. Arched neck, level topline & high set tail. Couldn’t match the rear movement of 1st place today.

Tibetan Spaniel J (3,0) 1st Rice’s Ricox I’ll Love You As You Are JW Small type with an appealing expression. Dome to skull, ears set high enough, dark oval eyes. Muzzle is blunt with chin, slightly undershot. Correct angulation front & rear. Level topline, tail high set & carried. Hare feet. Moved soundly with better rear action than 2nd.

2nd Bevis’ Lacoral Duke Of York At Starlance Awarded BP, he is mature for his age & of larger type than 1st. In excellent coat with a mane. Dark mask, dark oval eyes. Hare feet. Rib developing, level topline. Needs to strengthen in rear movement.

3rd Vine & Hassell’s Locoral King Edward At Beanalrem

PG (2,0) 1st Rice’s Ricox I Deserve Your Love JW RBOB Black D 14 months old, he appeals for shape. Masculine expression with dark eyes & high set ears, blunt muzzle, correct bite. Shoulders are laid back, slightly bowed legs to hare feet. Enough rib, level topline & high set tail that is correctly carried. Well muscled rear. Moved out well to RBOB

2nd Rice’s Parloueve Back To Black Of Ricox JW Black & tan B giving a correct outline. Small head with domed skull, dark eyes, defined stop, feminine expression. Hare feet. Tail high set & plumed. In good body & coat condition, she moved freely but not as good in front action as 1st.

O (2,0) 1st Bevis’ Souska Touch The Sky Over Starlance JW All male with dark mask, masculine expression & balanced outline. Head is small with wide domed skull, blunt deep muzzle, definite stop. Ears are well set, eyes dark. Quite short in neck to well laid shoulders, bowed front legs & hare feet. Level topline to high set tail, enough rear angulation. Positive on the move. I was pleased to award him BOB

2nd Hall’s Balgay Shab Tra Mature dog 6 years old. Head shape is appealing with domed skull, oval eyes are dark, strong neck, slightly bowed forelegs to hare feet. Body is long enough, tail high set & well carried. Not as positive on the move as 1st.

Tibetan Terrier J (3,2) 1st Hedger & Bourne’s Trytez Mr Magical At Evemylyn At 10 months old he is well grown & still has a lot of maturing to do. Correct head with enough stop, dark eyes, ears well set. Dark pigment. Well muscled rear. Willing on the move, he was a touch close behind.

 PG (3,1) 1st Armstrong & Cherry’s Araki Fantasy Funtime At Tizzycharm JW She has a sturdy compact body & pleases for type. Appealing feminine expression, she has dark round eyes, strength of muzzle & high set ears. Enough neck to well laid shoulders, level topline. Large feet. Tail high set & well carried. Presented in lovely coat & condition. Her strong rear drove her around the ring to BOB & G2

2nd Hedger & Bourne’s Araki Red Memphis At Evemylyn Almost 12 months old she gives a square outline. Correct head proportions, dark eyes. Strong neck, level topline. Rearquarters are muscled. Has time to settle in movement BP

O (2,1) 1st Amstrong’s Rigaze Dalai Gartok At Tizzycharm One I have judged before. He is masculine all through & has square, balanced outline. Strong muzzle, dark round eyes, pendant ears. Deep chest, straight front with decent feet. Well angulated both ends. In well presented coat & sound on the move RBOB

AVNSC Utility P (5,2) 1st Pine-Haynes Vicmar The Girl Is Mine (Toy poodle) A really promising 7 month old & a star in the making. Fine head with ample foreface, dark eyes, low set ears, enough chin. Long neck, straight front, short back. Tail is high set & correctly carried. Well angulated rearquarters. Well presented, she has plenty of coat for her age. Moved soundly when settled BP & PG1

2nd Barnes’ Izlou’s The Rockstar (German Spitz Mittel) 7 months old, he is another promising puppy. Compact shape, wedge shaped head with excellent pigment, dark eyes & small well set ears. Rib developing well, tail set high & curled. Moderate angulation front & rear, smart on the move.

3rd Wright’s Black Matrix Di Poggio Petroio To Sealandair (Imp ITA) Japanese Shiba Inu

J (2,0) 1st Walker’s Raeannes Black Velvet (Min Poodle) Black dog 16 months old & mature for his age. Long lean head with enough chin, dark eyes, low set ears. Enough neck, shoulders well laid back, short in back. Tail could be a bit higher set, it is correctly carried. Well angulated & muscled rear, he drove around the ring. His coat is crisp & was very well presented. I was delighted to learn later that this win gave him his JW, congratulations. RBOB

2nd Wright’s Black Matrix Di Poggio Petroio To Sealandair (Imp ITA) Japanese Shiba Inu Balanced outline. Wedge shaped head with small dark eyes & small ears that he uses, typical expression. Arched neck to straight front & tight feet. High set tail. He wouldn’t settle with his handler & this showed in his movement.

PG (2,1) 1st Walkers Raeannes Black Velvet (Min Poodle) repeat

O (3,1) 1st Ch Snowshoes Hex Girl At Dalens JW (Japanese Spitz) Mature in body & coat, she was presented in lovely condition. Wedge shaped head with excellent pigment, dark eyes, small ears are well used. Neck arched, well laid shoulders, plenty of rib, level topline to high set tail. Small tight feet. Rear is muscled with enough angulation. Very smart mover. BOB

2nd Cann’s Sunmarca Secret Agent (Min Poodle) Elegant black who moved soundly but without enthusiasm. Masculine expression, I would prefer a darker eye, ears are low set. Pleasing front assembly, enough rear angulation.

AV Imp Breed Reg Utility SY (1,0) 1st Balode & Emerson’s Everybody Princes De La Roses At Tamoanchan (Imp DEU) Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) Appealing dog with balanced outline. 15 months old he still has some maturing to do. Wedge shaped head has masculine expression. Oval eyes & large, well carried ears. Plenty of neck & chest is well developed for his age. Well angulated front & rear. Skin in excellent condition. He moved well holding his topline, could tighten in front. BOB

O (1,0) 1st Chambers’ Tamoanchan Neferiti To Musique (Xolo) Elegant bitch with lots to like. Feminine expression, ears used well, eyes could be a shade darker. Long neck into well laid shoulders, straight front, hare feet. Chest is deep. Level topline. I preferred the movement of the Jnr dog RBOB

O (9,6) 1st Barrell’s Chanikos My Mystery Dream Via Javerda JW Shih Tzu One that I have judged before, impressed me then & today looked even better having matured in both body & coat. Not in the breed classes due to an entry issue, such a shame. Broad round head with dark eyes. Chest deep, shoulders well laid. Level topline to high set tail which is carried correctly. Moved well showing pads.

2nd Allison, Chambers & Chambers Barbarita Best Beast (Imp LVA) GS Klein Compact outline. Correct head proportions with well used ears & dark eyes. Enough neck, well laid shoulders, straight front to small neat feet. High set tail is correctly carried. Moved out well.

3rd Armstrong’s Rigaze Dalai Gartok At Tizzycharm repeat

Veteran (9,4) 1st Cheatham’s Ch Schipdale A Kind Of Magic ShCEx Schipperke One I have judged before, he is a fine example of his breed. Balanced cobby outline. Masculine foxy expression, his skull is broad & ears well set. Deep chest. Front straight to neat feet. Level topline to round rump. Has the required coat patterning. Smart mover. BV

2nd Chambers Ch Musique Born Legacy GS Klein Compact shape, he has level topline to high set tail. Shoulders laid back, straight in front to small tight feet. Head is wedge shaped with enough stop, dark eyes & small well set ears. Brisk on the move, he was presented in good coat & condition.
