1 Cooper Mrs W & Mrs S – Sh Ch Deifstock Dare To Dream JW A beautiful well balanced 20m bitch. Correct head proportions, slight stop, lovely eye shape and good foreface and head ratio. Fine ear leathers. Strong slightly arched neck flows into well laid shoulders with good upper arm giving lovely reach in movement. Level topline into well set tail. Strong hindquarters giving good propulsion on the move. BOB

1 Cooper Mrs W & Mrs S – Hazean Donetsk To Deifstock (IKC) JW 3 y Bitch Very nice head well worked and good proportions with intelligent expression. Good quality coat. Not quite the forechest of the other exhibit or the straight hocks. But lovely size and overall balance.

Irish Setter

All of today's exhibits had really lovely heads in good proportion and including eye shape and ear set. Coat condition colour and presentation was excellent.

1 Peters Miss LM - Bluesprings Love Of My Life 9m b Well balanced moderate puppy. Nice front assembly and topline. Would like a touch more rear angulation but won the class on movement.

2 Mutch Mrs SA - Astleyview Crimson Moon 10m b Slightly longer cast than 1. Lovely angulation front and rear. Movement was less directional fore and aft but had good reach in profile.

1 Harrison Mrs JM - Clonageera Summer Dreams At Millpoint 16m b An outstanding youngster. Best of heads and nice flowing lines from neck into topline and tailset. Presented in super condition. Front and rear angulation excellent and lovely hip to hock length sweeping nicely to short strong hocks. Covers the ground well on the move and has so much presence you can’t overlook her. BOB

Limit 1/0 1 Adams Mr RA & Mrs PA - Paduan Ready For Love At Danbryeli Typical young 2yo male who has lots of potential. Nice length of neck and good topline. Nice and straight when viewed from the front just needs to fill out and drop in the chest. Good bone and nice ribs and topline. Good hindquarters well-muscled. Full of energy so perhaps could be moved a touch faster to get the most out of him. Stacks very well.

1 Adams Mr RA & Mrs PA - Harreds Sophie At Danbryeli 7yo b Such a calm intelligent girl in her expression. Good angulation and good feet. Carrying a bit too much weight all over which affects her outline and movement sadly.

It’s always exciting for me to judge this breed. The quality of exhibits is always excellent and my decisions, which in this case were tricky at times, are always well received. Thank you for bringing them along.

1 Matthews Mrs AD - Sonham Just Good Friends (AI) 11m L/W b Super quality well balanced puppy. Lots of potential. Good head proportions lovely expression & good foreface. Lovely flow from the neck into well laid shoulders smooth topline and croup. Nice tail set & carried well on the move.

2 Booth & Oddie Mrs SE & Mrs S - Lundgarth Fly The Flag 9m d O/W Lovely head properties and overall good quality. He’s going through a leggy stage at the moment, as you would expect at this age, so everything needs to fill out and settle. Bit of a handful on the move as was his sister but they are just puppies nothing wrong with that.

1 Dunn Miss D - Meadowpoint Hocus Pocus 20m B/W b Excellent head and ears and lovely flowing topline. Good depth of chest. Moved very well. Expertly handled as was the dam in the Open class.

2 Matthews Mrs AD – Sonham Just A Pretty Belle (AI) sister to the winner of Puppy and everything to like. Good bone and lovely feet. Good front assembly and good width to the hindquarters. Different to 1 in this class and really hard to choose between them. In the puppy challenge I just preferred this one to her sister. I will follow both with interest. BP

1 Marsh Mrs G - Alozia Zealandia For Ratchda JW 2yo L/W D Cracking young male. Nothing overdone medium sized and so well balanced. Super masculine head strong slightly arched neck flowing into a lovely topline.

Good shoulders and nice depth of chest. Nice well sprung ribs carried well back. Lovely angulation front and rear. He has exceptional movement really covering the ground well and holding his head and tail correctly. Overall just how I would like a Pointer to move and look. BOB

2 Sharpe Miss S - Joneva Dazzle and Daze 5yo B/W d Lovely head qualities

Strong neck and overall a well muscled fit dog. He has a nice depth to his chest I would just like a bit more width.

1 Dunn Miss D - Caithpoint Lora At Meadowpoint 5yo B/W b Yes I liked her a lot. She has a lovely head and good flowing topline. Another one that knows how to move. Lovely spring of rib going well back and good strong hindquarters. A strong contender for BOB.

2 Norbury & Ganney Heartbury Matador JW 2yo O/W d Lovely upstanding young male. Stands his ground well. Loved his depth of chest plenty of heart and lung room. Good bone and feet. Really covers the ground when he moves. A close second in this class and a close second to the other male. One to watch.

1 Guy Mrs L – Suelynda Dream Dreamer To Jahanghir 16m O/W d An exotic name for a special youngster. Full of character it was a pleasure to go over such a quality dog presented in lovely condition both coat and muscle. Stood alone but also outstanding. Strong masculine square head with well-developed flews. Nicely set vine shaped ears. Strong neck set into well laid shoulders and good upper arm. Strong well boned legs facing straight forward. Good spring of rib and muscular loin. Moved well covering the ground easily and carried his head and tail well. BOB
