Thank you to the Whitstable & District Canine Society for the invitation to judge at their Open Show. A huge thank you to all who exhibited under me, it was a pleasure to go over your dogs.

Norwich Terrier

J (1,0) 1 Haynes’ ALANTRO SOLID STEP, 8-month-old Dog. A pleasing youngster with a typical Norwich head — broad skull, well-set ears, and keen expression. Correct scissor bite. Still needs to mature, as expected at this age, but promising outline. Hindquarters showing good strength and drive. Tail carriage could be straighter. Slightly unsettled on the move at first, but when settled showed a fluid, purposeful gait. RBOB & BPIB. Pleased to see this dog go on gain TPG4.

PG (2,1) 1 Watkins’ BAKTWINS ONLY BELIEVE, 2-year-old Bitch. A touch heavy, which affected overall outline, but displays a typical head and skull with correct bite. Body proportions are acceptable, and movement was steady, though lacking some drive. 2 Morris’ ALANTRO BOTANICAL JEWEL, 20-month-old Bitch. Smaller frame than first but nicely balanced. Feminine head, good ear set, correct mouth. Hindquarters developing well. Slightly unsettled on the move which cost her the class. Shorter coat but of good texture. Lovely temperament.

O (1,1) 1 Morris’ BRICKIN BLAME THE GAME, 3-year-old Dog. A well-proportioned male of good size. Masculine head with correct skull proportions and strong bite. Good forehand construction and ribbing. Maintains a fairly level topline with a nicely set tail. Movement was serviceable overall, though rear action on the right lacked drive today. Nonetheless, a quality example and worthy of Best Of Breed. BOB. Good to see this dog go on to take TG4.
